We were very late to take off, late exit plane, and luggage took a long time.
The flight was fantastic. All the crew staff were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and they went out of their way to help make it such an enjoyable flight! I think on such a long flight there should have been some food given. Even cheese and crackers and maybe some cookies!
Great if it’s not a long flight in coach.
Flight was delayed about 40 minutes by a mechanical problem. This made a long day even longer. Otherwise good.
Upgrading from premium class to first class caused me to almost miss my seat on the flight. The system “un checked me in”. So I not only lost my first class seat, but my premium seat too so I alsmot didn’t have a seat on the plane. The app did not let me know as it was showing my seat assignment all the way up until boarding began. This exact same thing happened to another passenger. And to top it off, I now have to jump through hoops to get my refund. Awful experience with Alaska, I don’t intend to fly with AA again unless there are no other options.
After we boarded there was quite a long time before we actually took off, and there were no announcements from crew about why we were delayed. Later when they did make announcements they were largely inaudible. There was no food (other than for purchase) on the flight and no entertainment. Thats not a complaint, just explaining my ratings in those categories. The flight was smooth. Baggage claim was rapid.
Flight attendant missed us first pass with beverage. We had to ask for water on second pass as we were going to be missed again.
Very satisfied with the trip, using Kayak and Alaska Airlines.
I read online that flights longer than 2500 miles also got a complimentary snack pack which did not happen. It just helps break up the long flight when you get a snack here and there. Apreciated the coke and coffee though. Everything was on time and I feel like we maybe arrived earlier than expected as well. I cannot complain.
How can we get assigned an A seat when booking a flight ?
I like the wider seats, Plus lots of legroom, Lacking entertainment, no tv or screen to play with
8 hrs. Of waiting instead of couple of hours..the only good thing I'm still able to go to my destination...
When flying premium on a two our flight a light lunch would have been nice considering the price you pay. A Kit Kat bar and bag of chips is rather cheap service.
I was seated near a "stinky" person. That's not the fault of Westjet🙁😶🌫️

my carry-on bag was delayed and I did not receive it until the day of my return at the airport. This delay caused me significant inconvenience, as I did not have access to my personal belongings for the duration of my trip. I had expected to rely on my carry-on items, and being without them negatively impacted my travel experience.
Technology issues at the bag-check counter caused a delay, and we were unable to check out our bags, ultimately missing our flight. They offered no assistance other than telling us to book another flight out of Calgary. We arrived with plenty of time; if there hadn't been an issue with the kiosk and the length of the lines due to the technical issues, we could have made it home.
Worst check in and bag drop off experience. Staff were incredibly rude given that it’s the WestJet system that is faulty.
The staff at the airport and on the plane were wonderful I especially wanna acknowledge the staff who boarded us at the Calgary airport. The women who helped us board at the airport were incredible… they were so kind and sweet…I very happy with WestJet and I am hoping I can fly more often to Canada.
We were happy with our experience. The price for tickets was much less than Delta and we actually took off and landed a little ahead of scheduled times.
