Carry-on luggage restrictions extremely stringent- did not allow carry-on sized suitcases we have brought on other flights, boarding is slow and disorganized delaying take-off and making difficult to get to connecting flight

The rerouted flight got me to Washington Dulles airport, where I then had to purchase a second flight to get me home to Cleveland, Ohio, at an additional/extra cost of $450. MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"

The plane was dirty and parts were broken. Really run down. My table kept falling down because the latch was broken. Flight attendants were just plain old mean. Don't waste your money going to Canada unless you absolutely have to. It's a hellhole.

Cons: "I flew Toronto-Calgary-Palm Springs and then Las Vegas back to Toronto. Only the Calgary-Palm Springs flight (the shortest leg) had seat back entertainment including satellite TV (although it cut out half way there). West Jet should have such entertainment available on all of their longer flights (consistent with the likes of Jet Blue that has had it for years). I would also point the disaster at the West Jet recommended Airport Lounge i Toronto. I almost missed the flight because there was A. No flight information available in the lounge like everywhere else B. The TV available in the lounge was on the information channel which included the time but froze up at some point (I checked the time and though I had about an hour before the flight and had hour til boarding. When I looked up again about twently minutes later the time was exactly the same. C. The Lounge was 20 minutes from the gate and this distance was a total surprise. I provided my boarding pass and the receptioist said nothng about the distance (unlike other airport lounges that I have visited). Note that I stopped into the Chinook Lounge in Calgary to see if they had addressed all of the complaints. I asked how far away my gate was and what steps I had to go through to get there and they had no clue. It turns out that one must take a shuttle bus, go though security again and then go through US customs so bottom line is that one needs the adviised three hours and the Chinook Lounge is essentially useless for travellers connecting to a US destination in Calgary. I would suggest that perhaps your CEO or senior staff should go through the experience of using the above Lounges and believe me this would result in A. Demanding significant improvements or B. Recommending Alternative Lounges or C. Advising that these lounges not be used (and certainly not featuring them on your web site). One additional comment. I arranged to meet someone on your Toronto-Vegas flight at McCarron (last Tuesday nite). There are 26 different luggage carousels so I positioned myself in the middle and monitored the flight arrival information. Officials at McCarron Airport failed to indicate that your plane had arrived. As a result, I was delayed in making my way to meet the individual at Carousel 26 and we missed making contact. Most Toronto passengers were already leaving with their luggage so I approached one of your staff who to put it lightly was useless (not sure why she was there). She would not tell me if my party was on the flight or even when it landed or provide any solution. The McCarron Flight Info Board still did not indicate arrival of your flight even after basically all the luggage was gone. I finally got someone who worked at McCarron to contact the PA Announcer and ask my party to meet me at Carousel 26. The PA Announcement came over a few minutes later ... but said to meet at Carousel 16. Gross incompetence all the way around. Dennis Egan 519-513-1025"

When checking in at the kiosk, my seat was shown as an aisle seat so I didn't try to change it, but my boarding pass printed a middle seat which is very uncomfortable for a tall person."

She did last minute make it via running to our plane but in that time they had given her seat away, she had to prove that she paid did and deserved a flight . The way home from Athens all of my aid Canada flights were delayed and late . I had a 3.5 hour layover in Seattle to switch carriers to make it home , my flight out of Vancouver was 2.5 hours delayed that they continually said was only another 10 minutes , versus being upfront that it was severely delayed . Long story worst experience I've had ."

There was no way we would be able to catch our rescheduled flight in the time it takes to deboard, go through customs, get bags, recheck bags, go through security. We didn't. We missed the next flight too despite the heroic efforts by the staff (excpetion - TSA security. They moved very very slow to the point that they seemed passive aggressive to our situation). This is the second time it has happened. I probably won't fly Air Canada again, if possible."

Cons: "The food was awful if you didn't like curry or cheese (my husband and son didn't eat and it was a 9 hour flight). The landing was aborted after the wheels were on the ground. We came down way too fast and hard, and had to take off again and ascend very quickly. Circled an additional 25 mins before landing again."
Pros: "New flight reservation took us directly from Newark to Phoenix."
Cons: "This flight was totally cancelled. New reservation took us to Newark. Here the crowds were very long, baggage took over 20 min. to arrive, missed our connecting flight and had to wait 4 more hours for next flight. The flight out of Newark was held on the tarmac for 40 min."
Cons: "Wait time for US specific security check Line was too long and slow"
Pros: "The food and the attention of the crew was excellent I saw three movies in this long trip"
Cons: "I am not happy with the service of the Counter in Munich. I had my seats reserved in march when I bought the tickets and the employee without my autorization, changed my seats and my wife and me traveled separed. The position in my seat 2D was terrible. Everybody walk in the aisle and touch me several times. It is better to travel to Europe in European Airlines."
Pros: "United flight more seat room than LH international flight. Crew much friendlier and more accommodating."
Cons: "NO ONE sent me the United check in info, so I did not have the flight number. I had to get help in Munich from Passport Control. LH flight from Koeln unfriendly LH crew."
Cons: "worst food ever internationally. And I've been to 43 countries. crackers as snack, only one meal on an 11 hr flight, ran out of fizzy water, for sandwich, I had to take off one layer of bread to taste the meat at all (thinest layer ever seen with only two dots of a pesto."
Pros: "Food was really good and I watched some great movies. I was happy to see that there is much more room on Int'l flights than domestic flights. The seats were comfy."
Cons: "I was pulled out of line when trying to board at the gate for not having a 'stamp' on my boarding pass which would tell them I went through security (even though I had gone through three levels of security!) I was sent back to a gate that had no idea what I was talking about and I became frantic, as my son was about to board a flight that I could not. I finally found what was needed (after being sent through the line and patted down this time!) and I ran back to the gate to be the last person on the plane. It was nerve wracking to say the least. Also my son's video touch screen was not working properly. I realize that it is hard to keep these operating well, with all the use they get, but it was annoying as this happened on the flight over as well."
Pros: "Very comfortable seats and seating arrangement. Lots of storage places. Ample water supplies."
Cons: "Would have preferred something other than chicken for pre-landing meal. Fruit, cheese & veggie option shown on menu was not available."
Cons: "We waited in line to check baggage because it was Lufthansa and got to the front before finding out it was a united flight. No where did it say United check in. Just aggravating."
Pros: "Highly professional and exceptionally courteous service by the cabin crew. Professionally dressed. Organized and dilligent. Customer friendly. The way an airline owner and CEO would want to be represented to the paying customer by a frontline segment of his/her organization. Best UAL/Lufthansa experience ever for me."
Cons: "The ‘third world’ arrival handling by IAD. Ragged transporters. No intercom service or effort whatsoever to advise pax of apparent problem at main terminal. Turned off transporter engine and left us on the tarmac breathing diminishing air in the module and wondering what was going on. Mobile passport service ‘not working’ at jam-packed immigration. Luggage retrieval frustrated by problems or incompetence and finally located at an undesignated conveyor area. No kudos to IAD. All kudos to Lufthansa/UAL. One Exception was my ‘by chance’ immigration agent who for the first time ever for me at IAD said “welcome home” as he waved me on."
Pros: "I am muslim, but I forgot to arrange the kind of food I would prefer during the flight, and the gentlement I talked to said let me see what I could do to help you about it, and few minutes later came up with muslim meal. I was really happy! Thank you all again."

Cons: "The plane has business section seats that face both ways...some face the front of the plane as most seats do and some face the back of the plane which seems new. I had asked when I booked the flight and again when I checked in what direction out seats faced and was assured the seats faced forward. They do not. Out seats in row 9 faced the backend of the plane and were awful."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled, it was re-booked, but lots of walking and waiting especially for a older person. Chicago busy , more walking, home much later,.. still waiting for one suitcase."
Cons: "Boarding in Munich -- our flight came in 1/2 hour late into Munich. Although I believe that security questions/answers may be necessary in foreign countries, I believe that 5-6 minutes of questioning when a flight is already boarding is a bit much."
Pros: "Nothing I like on that flight. Food was ok but cared little for when you make unscheduled stops due to pilot not following us regulations. Get stranded in DC over night no compensation for hotel just a horrible experience !"

Cons: "The upgrade to economy plus did not provide me with the better traveling accommodation/experience . The row 20 seats are narrow and very uncomfortable for two typical American males, not sure why airline charged me extra. I had to sit sideways during my entire trip from Munich to Chicago. Experienced 9 very uncomfortable hours. In all honesty, I think row 42 seats provide better traveling comfort."

Cons: "Doing the online check-in my wife and I were assigned seats on opposite sides of the aircraft and it was painful trying to get it resolved. We kept being put off to someone else and despite being among the first at the gate we ended up being among the last to get it resolved because of being put off to other people only to see the same person help someone else. It was finally resolved satisfactorily thankfully"
