Boarding was slow and could have been faster. Flight delayed over an hour and mad rush to catch the connecting flight which was very stressful for seniors! Luggages did not make it and no compensation whatsoever. Although announcements on plane was made for passengers with connecting flights to disembark first, reality was different as not adhered.
I didnt experience it but i saw them and heard that some are not good in customer service. They dont know how to talk with respect and in a nice way.with persons who needs it. Especially with seniors and people who does not know how to speak english that much.
Overall the flight was a good experience. It is different from American Airlines because they board the back of the plane first rather than the front first. Food was decent. They gave out pillows ,blankets , and face masks. I did find this airline had faster flights back home than others. Less travel and layover time.
Expensive and yet uncomfortable. Was told by the crew to get back to us for the breakfast meal but never returned, my child was hungry
The entertainment system is a mess. Told us to connect to mypal wifi to access movies ! BUT never told us you need to download another app to watch a movie.

The food was ordinary, this could be improved. Sleeping was comfortable enough for several hours sleep. The layover time in Manila Mabuhay lounge for 17 hours was awful. Surely I could have been given a flight to Perth within that time on another airline. At 74 years of age I find that far too long and stressful and will probably not travel with Philippine Airlines again for that reason. The food offering on board and in the lounge was also a little underwhelming. The crew were wonderful and the flight comfort was good also.
The checkin was unacceptable. Agent took about 3-5 min minutes with me, standing in front of her, and not in acknowledging my presence. Finally, when she started processing my check in as a priority passenger, she neglected to give me a lounge pass until I reminded her . when I went to the lounge, they didn’t have me registered. However, the agent there still accepted me Did not tag my luggage as priority, so I had to wait until almost the very end before my luggage appeared. My Wi-Fi as premier elite did not work. This was not a good start to my lengthy flight.
Free wifi or cheaper wifi rate will be better. Or upgrade your entertainment system.
Our flights were delayed multiple times and we had less than an hour connection time before our flight took off. Arrived late with only 25 minutes before next flight but no ground crew helped us to get to our next gate even though our flight crew assured us we would get some help. Transitioned to another flight in MNL terminal 1 but got stuck at security so then had to run to make connection. To top it off our luggage didnt make it either. Paid for biz class seats but did not receive biz class experience. The flight crew, food and entertainment were all excellent. We just wish we didnt feel so stressed about connection and not having luggage until the next day.
Air canada charged me for a carry on bag that I did not have.
Flight was "over subscribed" which is Air Canada speak for "we cancelled the earlier yyc-yvr flight so we now have more bums than seats".
I was notified 8 hours before that my flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues and they would let me know when they put me on a new flight. Didn’t hear back for 6 hours and was never notified and had to log into the app to find out I was put on a new flight. First time flying with air Canada and won’t fly with them again.
My experience was good. On my return my screen had a glitch but the movie, show and internet options were good. Seats were comfortable, as comfortable as a plane could get in economy. Friendly service. Only complaint would be high price.

The staff were helpful with good relationships at all levels.- check in,in flight. BUT 1. The food provided was OK but inadequate supply. 2.in selecting my seat during the preboarding check in,I requested Change of seat which I did BUT without advice was charge $$ for this change!!
I was tired enough to fall asleep soon after takeoff and slept until "we are starting our descent to Toronto" announcement. That's not bad at all.
It was great to have a vegetarian meal option, but departure was delayed because they had oversold the flight. Air Canada, you’re in charge of how many tickets are sold: don’t oversell!
