Now I am in my seat with both my carry on and personal item stowed below. So was I comfortable ? No. Was I upset and annoyed, on top of being tired? Yes. They need a better system."

However, the way we were "helped" through all of this was unbelievable- over two and a half hours of phone calls with them, while in Europe (so paying God knows what per minute), 4 hours to get my luggage back so we could leave, absolutely no one from Lufthansa around to help or even tell us what's going on, put us on a flight the following day with two layovers now (paid more for only one layover but what can I do). Next day, at Alitalia gate (Lufthansa put me on an itinerary with flights from Alitalia, Lufthansa and United) had to pay AGAIN to check the bag that I had just paid to check the previous day where we did not end up flying anywhere (showed Alitalia the receipt, they didn't care in the slightest and said its Lufthansas problem, 0 stars for them as well), either way finally got through our 2 layovers, only to discover the final leg of our trip (United/ Lufthansa flight) is delayed 3 hours. Just about to board, now it's delayed another 5 hours. Because we were short a pilot...... Short a pilot, really....? Ended up getting home at 2am on a work night, completely jet lagged and utterly exhausted from being in an airport for 2 straight days. Supposed to get compensation as per United flight crew, only I put my ticket information in the website and it doesn't work for me of course because I have a Lufthansa ticket. No one cares, no one helps, now it's time for Amex to step in and get all of my money back."

No alternative flights were offered, no additional information about how and when we can fly home. We had to stay one extra day on Salzburg since this was the only option given to us by Lufthansa when we finally spoke to them the next day. This experience with Lufthansa was absolutely disappointing and we will probably never book with them again."

While checkin staff were polite, gate staff were not overly helpful and no food vouchers were offered for rebooked passengers. On my return from YTZ to EWR, I received 6 delays to my flight but staff in the airport provided no information regarding the cause of the delay and did not provide updates on the flight in a timely manner. By the time my flight was delayed a 5th time, I was stuck in the terminal. Free drinks and snacks were available, but I had to pay for a sandwich during my 3 hour wait. I have received only a C$100 travel voucher. Needless to say I won't be using it."

Now I have a voucher I'm not gonna use in the specified time frame nor gan I give it to someone who frequents the airline."

The flight got cancelled, no email sent to me even though service counter people kept saying that they did. I am at the airport in a long line with only one counter open and the rep not even bothering to help me. I am a 60 year old from another country and have knee problems. Thankfully someone took mercy on me and helped me out to catch another flight so I could leave. Its unfortunate that flight cancellations happen in such a way without making sure the passengers are all contacted and alternatives made for them. it is also unfortunate the airport only does porter airlines and there are no other flights that can be made available when flights get cancelled"

This meant that I was stranded in Billy Bishop airport, which is a very small airport without much to do, while waiting for updates. Updates typically consisted of, "We should be able to board in about 10-15 minutes once the plane cools down." and then we would wait another hour for an update. We were offered a $50 food voucher for the small cafe 5 minutes before the cafe closed up shop. We were also offered a $50 voucher on Porter Airlines, which is an airline I have never flown before and don't intend to fly again."

Cons: "REALLY don't like the fact that international passengers who aren't US or Canadian passport holders can't web check in and reserve seats online. Couldn't you at least allow us to reserve a seat, if not actually web check in in advance? That way we wouldn't get relegated to crappy, leftover seats after everyone else has had a go at them! Finding power plug outlets for laptops in your Toronto lounge is a challenge. Elderly people have to bend down, peer under chairs, if they're lucky to see an outlet. Please consider designing accessible outlets that don't require strenuous bending, and a larger number of them. Disappointed that you don't as yet have European and Southeast Asian airline frequent flier network tie-ups. Qantas is good, but limited."

Cons: "Travel home was a nightmare. I checked in. Went through security. Went to board and a glitch happened in their system with my layover. They checked me in 5 times and on the 6th a total meltdown. I was now a security issue. I've never been arrested or even have the slightest past. I am a thin woman carrying a banana bread and bagels, which I offered to relinquish as my personal item. They couldn't figure out the glitch in their system and didn't want the plan to be delayed so they started to let it begin the take off process. I asked, "WHAT ABOUT ME???" They said they'd put me on the next flight out. I knew it was canceled, so I told them that was a bad plan. They knew as well, but were trying to let the plane go without me. The main agent was awful. So rude and did not care if I was stuck in Canada all night for their technical issue from a 1pm flight. Some angel flight attendant overheard, put her foot down, hand wrote me a ticket and ran me on the plane. Got to my layover in Toronto. Spoke with a manager about the issues, she said they were all cleared up. Tried to board the plan, same thing happened again. No one in either airport knows why, but they all admitted it was an issue in their computer system and not actually with me."

Cons: "Because of Boeing disaster did not go to Halifax but were sent by Westjet to TO and then on with Air France. Boarding areas in TO are a long way away (lot of walking) and customs in TO is frustrating and takes a long time."

Pros: "Very rude behavior of the staff at the desk. Flight was 7 hours delayed and then canceled. And the staff were not able to give us updates. They were being rude."

Customer service representative is not able to provide any information, doesn't even understand English well. Nobody answers the phone... At this point, we're still waiting for our bags"

Cons: "It could have been the perfect trip, but I am not sure why SAS baggage handling is so mediocre. In both the flights from EWR to OSLO and back, every aspect of the trip was super, except for the wait for baggage. In Oslo, I estimate having waited at least a half an hour at the carousel before the bags started showing up, and the same in Newark. We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."

Cons: "Was overlooked by the pursor a couple times - he probably had a lot on his plate. Also, the "snack" at the end of the trip was sorely lacking! Especially for a 7 hour flight. The bathrooms were gross & out of toilet paper. And it seemed like one was locked constantly...?"

Cons: "Not sure why they only have like 20 movies, most of which are not good. Delta has hundreds of movies to choose from. Old and new. When entertainment is included in the high price of these long haul trips, it helps to have a semi-decent selection."

Pros: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Cons: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

Cons: "I was sitting next to a girl who was not part of my family who got airsick 3 times on the flight. The first time I told the airline attendant and she brought a large plastic bag and some paper towels. The girl but her used airsick bag inside the large plastic bag. I tied the top and put in next to me near the aisle because I expected the attendant to come pick it up. The attendant told me I had to take it to the lavatory and dispose of it in there. It was very hard to get the large plastic bag into the small trash receptacle because it had fill with air. I asked the attendant for another airsick bag but she never brought it. The girl got sick again and she used my airsick bag. While walking the bag up to the lavatory, I asked a different attendant for another airsick bag. They just told me I had to dispose of it in the lavatory and never brought another airsick bag. I had to ask someone for their airsick bag because the girl got sick a third time. I can not believe the horrible service on this flight! The poor girl was crying because she felt so sick and there wasn't anyone to help her. I did what I could but I felt something could have been done by the crew. I will think twice before I reserve another flight on SAS."

Cons: "The meals were mediocre and should be up to the standard of the rest of SAS service. The selection of movies could have been wider. They do help pass the time."

Cons: "I was sitting next to a special needs man and the crew was extremely unhelpful towards him. He should not have been flying alone and they did not help him at all. When you handed out the customs form he told the stewardess he needed help and she ignored him. When I pressed the call button for him it took someone 35minutes to come back and then she told him she would help him after dinner. I pressed a call button the second time to help him find something and again it took over 30 minutes for someone to come back to us. If there was a real emergency this delay would have been a huge problem. The stewardess was extremely rude in general."

Pros: "From finding affordable tickets to the moment we left the flight we had a wonderful experience again on SAS. Boarding was simple, we left on time, the flight was smooth and enjoyable, crew and food wonderful. It was a super experience so thank you SAS!"
