Cons: "Air Canada changed our seating on day of travel. I had ordered tickets over a month in advance and scheduled seating for my wife and I on our 3 leg flight. Air Canada changed our seating on the 1st and 3rd leg and we were no longer sitting together."

Cons: "Air Canada changed our seating on day of travel. I had ordered tickets over a month in advance and scheduled seating for my wife and I on our 3 leg flight. Air Canada changed our seating on the 1st and 3rd leg and we were no longer sitting together."
Pros: "Customer service was great"
Cons: "No food at all. Good to have a snack or something to eat!"
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Just before boarding it was announced that there would be no hot water on board and passengers should try to run and get a coffee at the airport. 5 hour flight ahead. I didn't have free hand to carry a coffee on board. So no coffee or tea. Also no water in the bathrooms! All meals for purchase were not loaded so no veggies or any gluten free options for purchase. Wanted to buy Duty Free and was told that it wasn't loaded either for some reason. The cabin was a bit cool and after 4 hours of cold drinks I was a bit chilled and asked for a blanket only to discover that they only sell them to the passengers. Then I got the giggles as they thanked us for choosing Air Canada voted number one airline in North America. Hilarious!!!"
Pros: "They arrived on time. Not much else."
Cons: "Over 4 hour flight. No food (not even pretzels). A few old movies. Flight delay with no communication. I only noticed when I was checking in at the kiosk and noticed that my one hour layover was now a 5 minute layover. Rebooked. When I arrived at destination, no notice that next flight was delayed, even though it was over 3 hours late. Thought I only had 1 hour to go through US immigrations and customs. Ran to the other end of the airport to be on time. Aircraft wasn't even at airport and flight was over 3 hours late. They couldn't have posted that so we didn't have to run across the airport? Changed gates, but no announcement. One other flyer was looking at the board and called out to the group waiting that there was a gate change. Left Vancouver at 8:00 am, arrived in Boston at 1:30 am. Won't fly with Air Canada again."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very professional and nice."
Cons: "The flight took off late and did not make up the lost time during the flight."
Pros: "I had an exit row seat so the extra room was much appreciated."
Cons: "Aircanada's method of multi zone boarding is a mess. Everyone queues up and blocks whatever zones actually can get on. The seat next to the exit door was freezing. The food was horrible. I understand airplane food is bad but this is some of the worst I have had. Our flight our was fine. There was no inflight entertainment for an 8+ hour flight - you had to rent iPads which is crazy these days. We were late to takeoff due to airport traffic which isn't the airlines fault but then because the customs baggage scanning system went down at Montreal my husband missed his connection - was eventually put on my flight after two trips to ticketing and three calls to aircanada but his bag never arrived in Chicago. We are still waiting for it."
Cons: "I was annoyed to find that Air Canada has invented special terminology to justify charging for a single checked bag on an international flight. At the check in counter, the representative explained to me that Canada is "trans border" and not "international," so they don't offer a free checked bag. However, I was still required to present my passport and go through customs, and I'm pretty sure I came out of the plane in a different country than I started in, so I conclude that they are splitting hairs to cheat customers out of a standard service."
Cons: "The flight was considerably delayed, so that we missed our connection, the airport personnel at Newark sent us all over the place attempting to pass off the problem onto somebody else- even encouraging passengers to go to Montreal and "figure it out from there." Bags were taken off the plane and then put back on...the subsequent flight (the next day) was also delayed, and required half he plane to sprint through Montreal to their connections. It was not worth it. Especially considering I tried to call Air Canada for some of my refund and the number they gave me was a fax line."
Pros: "I can't think of anything I'd really like an Air Canada . Even when they initially told me I needed to buy the wine and finally gave me one bottle for free, it really tasted like vinegar . I couldn't drink it ,"
Cons: "The worst part of thiis experience with Air Canada was the fact that there was no entertainment on board . They are supposedly switching to this system where you are supposed to download the Air Canada entertainment app on your phone or your tablet to be able to watch anything . Even though I supposedly had free Wi-Fi in The Athens airport, I was unable to download the app so I spent 11 hours with nothing to do on my way to Montreal. I wonder what they expect elderly or very young flyers to do . Most of these don't have tablets or smart phones . They did have some tablets for rent for $10, but not enough for everyone. Would not recall mend this airline for a transatlantic flights without checking whether the airplane has onboard entertainment first ."
Cons: "1. They loan out iPads for entertainment which you had to pay for because the plane was an older model and there were no individual tv screens available. This should be a free service with the amount of fare I paid for the trip. 2. Also on my way to Rome, flying air canada, too, my husband and i fell asleep and missed our meals. When I asked the crew for my meals they said "it's unsafe to give it to me anymore." But that's what refrigerators are for - to store food safely for passengers. I just don't buy their reasoning. It's just an excuse not to serve passengers. Needless to say my husband and I went hungry until they served breakfast. 3. From LA to Toronto & Montreal back to LA, was a 4-6 hr flight where they don't feed you or give you blankets. When I asked why blankets are not available, the crew said, "because that's all what we'll be doing is handing out blanket." The crew should realize that providing comfort for their passengers is a huge part of their service they should provide. This was my first time flying with air canada and I was very disappointed. Air Canada will definitely not be on my top airlines to fly next time."
