We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

So I requested the representatives at the check in counters at both airports to change our seats so that we could seat next each other. They were willing to help us out and we got the great seats. They had to ask other customers to help this out, too. In the airplanes, the flight attendants were extremely helpful and friendly when we asked them questions and favors, with nice smiles and calm quiet voices. No wonder the atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet during the both flights. The leg room was roomier and the facilities were newer. When I saw three pilots bowed to the customers before getting into the airplane, I felt they were very professional and ready for their jobs."

The entertainment options could have presented with more options, however, I was not upset with what I watched. The crew was very attentive, and the flight was smooth, overall."
Cons: "The temperature of the plane was very hot— there were a lot of us packed into this flight, and there were no sources of air.. so it got pretty stuffy. Between the temperature and the lights staying on for a majority of the flight, it was difficult to sleep, especially for so many hours. In addition to this, I had a dairy allergy, and was not able to eat either of the meals I was offered, because the fish and “veggie pasta” were both covered in cheese."

Frequent offers of beverages and water throughout the flight from Munich to EWR, hot towels. Nice! I was not able to choose my seats until check-in, 24 hours before flight time. Of course if I wanted to pay extra (would have amounted to $60 for two flights for each passenger) I could have. Representatives at check in in Athens, were indifferent and not very pleasant."

WE will NEVER want to fly out of Frankfurt and especially with Lufthansa. I have to say the people at the service counters were very nice and helpful but it took 5 hours to get serviced and were missed 2 possible connecting flights. Lufthansa was a good airline but that was 20 years ago. The airport is too big now has too many delays so I'll avoid it at all cost."

We' also personally explained to him that if he can yield the seat so that our family could sit together due to my wife's medical condition but he would not cooperate. I noted Those gentlemen on 1D and 1C are either buddies or coworkers. The crews were looking at each other without offering a solution. I ended up telling the crew that I could sit on 6B so that the plane can leave. The departure time was 20 min late u related my seating issue and de-icing took another 40 min. I am a Global Service member and I am very unhappy about the way the whole situation was created and handled by United."

We arrived a few minutes too late for my partner to check in with his luggage so they even arranged it so that he would be able to still catch the flight but the luggage would be sent on the following flight. Definitely saved us from the stress of having to be split up and worried on when there would be room for him to catch an alternate flight."

The AirTran took over 10-15min to arrive and when it finally did we had to get off and wait for another one which didn’t have space for everyone so a group of us had to wait even longer for the next one to arrive. A guy said he missed his flight last time that happened. They had more trains going to the parking lot for customers leaving the airport than they did for people catching their flights! Then there was only one security check in line, even for expedited check in. Despite allocating extra time for our overall commute, we still made it right on time for boarding so make sure to give yourself PLENTY of time when dealing with EWR."

The sky was very clear landing into Newark but I the entire journey to touchdown was so turbulent that I almost wanted to throw up, I don't understand the science of flying but I haven't seen an airline wobble so much on a clear day for landing. Overall, I definitely believe United needs to upgrade their airline & until such time, I am going to find a different carrier to fly."

But it is not; it is a large and important city, and it stinks that the demand is so low that airlines must use small aircraft on these routes. Is it because Canadian taxes are so high on airlines that fares in turn must be high and not stimulate demand? I can't think of any other reason connecting cities this size would be on crappy little aircraft rather than on at least an A320/737 family aircraft. The problem is that there is not enough room in the overhead bins to fit rollaboards, even small ones like mine. So they have to "gate check" the bag, which does not always reappear at the gate at the destination. Less bad than the choice of aircraft was the fact that after we pushed back, they couldn't get an engine started, so they cancelled the flight and reaccommodated us on a later flight."
