No seat assignment. Was put in the absolute last seat in the plane. Flight was delayed because of an electrical issue which also broke the AC until we were taxi-ing. It was hot.
Seats were narrow and uncomfortable ( business ) and there was only one toilet for both business and premier…. The one up front was blocked as it was solely for the crew …. One always had to wait in line with 3/4 people in front of you ..at minimum….. while you waited , the crew made it clear that you were in their way …. Fair enough as we had to stand partially in the galley…

But thankfully, lady who works for American Airlines solved my problem on the phone in couple of minutes easily. After that, when we were boarding to the aircraft, there was a cabin attendant lady. She came to us and ask me and my mother if we can talk English.I answered her with yes we can, but she demands to talk with my mother. And English is not her native language, but it doesn't prove that she doesn't know it. She tried to ask questions to her like, "where were you today?" so we couldn't really understand the reason for her to ask those questions in the first place. So we couldn't really say anything. While we were talking about my mother's English, the all aircraft was watching us, and trying to figure out what was going on. After all, she made us to sit there and wait her to replace us with other passengers. We waited the whole aircraft to be seated, then she took us to another seat with my mother. I can understand that it is her job but I'm not sure, if it had to be that much discomfort. We got pretty upset about it and it affects our flight quality. Plus, while cabin crew serving beverages, they didn't really ask us anything. We needed to call them for our order. To be honest, I would never flight with Delta. It was a disappointment."

But when the plane was boarding, I went to the man at the desk and asked if the plane was full. He informed me that it was not, and that I could pay roughly $300 for economy plus, or $1000 for business class. Online, I was ALLOWED to bid $200 for the economy plus seat. If they are going to reject this offer and then have the seat fly empty, they are a bunch of dicks. They had a chance for me to be a happier customer and to make more money. Now they lost both. What was also terrible is that when I family with an infant was moved up a few seats, I suggested to the lady next to me who wanted the newly vacant aisle seat that she ask the flight attendant for it. The flight attendant said it was fine. As the lady sitting next to me went to her her new seat, and old man from a few rows up took it. Another flight attendant had promised it to him. So, now the two of us are crammed, she's pissed that the seat she said she could have she couldn't, and I'm there like "My god, they wouldn't even take my money to let me have a nicer, EMPTY, seat." Poor communication, poorly run. Try another airline."

I was most impressed with the meal service. We were served twice on our 9 hour flight, and both meals were hot, healthy, and the best I’ve had during a flight. The passenger in front of us was having a hard time with her sinuses, and the flight attendant (whose name I wish we had gotten) was very attentive and concerned for the comfort and well-being of the passenger. She insisted on doing anything she could to alleviate the woman’s difficulty. It is clear that the crew care about the passengers’ experience."

Our seats were comfortable (complete with a moldable headrest to keep your head from bobbing around) but we felt too upright to fall asleep. The passenger in front of us reclined, but we were concerned about reclining into the already tight space of the passenger behind us. So we weren’t able to sleep, despite trying to get comfortable/somewhat horizontal. It seemed to be a mixed bag of asleep and awake passengers on the flight, so some people were unaffected by this issue."

I like this aircraft. There is good entertainment choices and WiFi. The main dish was surprisingly good.

Crew was nice and accommodating, but someone failed to inspect the plane before the passengers got on and we ended up deplaning and changing planes when this could have been avoided.

I had my 2 year old and hate checked my stroller and when I got to Miami there was no crew to bring it up they told me so I had to carry a sleeping child and my carry on along with my making sure my 5 year old was with me. Then my stroller wasn’t even with my bags it was on a domestic arrivals. Horrible experience.
Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase. An awful awful trip thanks to American Airlines.
Given Covid protocols, it is still baffling to me how these planes can be so overcrowded. But the flight in general was okay.
Once we got on the flight everything was fine. The first leg of our flight was delayed 3 times but American sent us emails allowing us to chose a new itinerary.

Even when the flight attendants picked up the trash. They were informed after the flight they did not comply with CDC, Department of health, and state policies. Their response was “ I made announcements overhead. Didn’t you hear?”. Appalling endangering customers and disregarding Federal, State, and local policies."

I was informed by anAA employee they the connection is frequently missed due to similar problems. 2. Flight attendants and gate agents will bankrupt the airline with their horrible attitude. - they should be fired."

Then, after he finally arrived with a tray full of coffees, there was an issue with the jet's computer and had to reset it and we had to wait even more. When we finally arrived, our Gate was taken by other plane already and we had to wait (more) for the first one to be available for us. Then, when we finally got our Gate, there was another issue, now with the "finger". They weren't able to move it and connect it to the plane to get off of it. So we had to wait AGAIN. And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."

The captain had to finally, after several hours, come to the boarding area to inform all of us that there was problem that was not communicated correctly so we then had to wait an additional 2.5 hours more on top of the original 2.5 hour delay for the two certified mechanics on St. Croix to attest that the plane could fly. No one asked them to come earlier, so we waited for pretty much five (5) hours. We were promised meals and hotel in Miami. the Miami American Airlines service desk told us, sorry, there's so many people, we could not be accommodated. This is outrageous, and I want my money back. I paid for 4 people on that flight and we were treated horribly. On top of that....Cheapoair, representative from whom I bought the tickets, sold me tickets without my understanding that we only had 41 minutes to get off the original flight from Christiansted find the next flight and board it. We never would have made it. Final point, the Cheapoair guy who sold me the tickets charged me about 500 dollars more than what he said the cost was. He quoted and said "all in" 1150 per ticket (I bought 4 tickets). He then charged me nearly 5300 Again this is outrageous and a complete sham. I demand to be compensated for this."

Having frequently flown coach class on these overseas flights, I have a hard time folding my long legs into the cramped seats and arriving rested and in good humor. I can say unequivocally that the flight attendants give you much more personalized attention in business class. I didn't have to, but I preordered my meals and that info was registered, and that way I got what I wanted. I also made use of the Admirals Clubs during layovers."

Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Service sucks, except 1 nice fellow, who apologized. 6 bottles for 36 passengers. 1 crew had cold towel around his neck sitting, 1 doing crossword so we had to help ourselves. 1 crew saw something in the plane & screamed so hard woke up a sleeping pilot. 1 crew slept for 2 hrs and 1 watch TV for 1 hrs. NEVER VERY, IF I CAN AVOID IT, WILL I TRAVEL WITH AA. They own a lot of us more than an apology."

Had it been busy, it would have been different in that seats were not very wide, aisles very small, if the seat in front reclines and you don't, you can't see your screen and not a lot of space in general."

On their own with nothing else and it arrived 30 minutes before we landed so very rushed. On a 9.5hr flight the 2nd meal needed to be an actual meal and come sooner than it did."

Cons: "My flight was delayed on the way to Puerto Plata on 9/9 which made me miss an entire day and I was billed for a stay at the resort. I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

Cons: "AA cancel flights recurringly and has no ability to help their customers. Got I flight cancelled yesterday, and was move to another flight later (10:30pm) that supposed to leave ate (3:30pm). After several delays, they started boarding us at 1:00am, but the boarding process so messy and confuse, the plane couldn’t took off before 1:40 by 1 minute and they had to cancel the flight with 200 people inside the plane. An absurd! Flight was rescheduled to today at 10am and obviously took off 1h delayed because AA can't organize simple things to expedite the boarding process."
Pros: "I had to buy new clothes after lost bag and since bag had been lost twice during my trip, I was reluctant to check the bag. It was of size to cram into my carry on so I did that, but American staff demonstrated concern, had a sense of humor and helped me get a comfortable seat to sort of take some of the sting away. All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."
Cons: "The original booked flight was about 12 hours before the rebooked flight. We got up at about 2:00 am to leave for the airport at 3:30 am for a 6:30 am flight. We were all packed and booked our ride and shuttinlpg down the computer at the last minute when we noticed an mail after midnight telling us the flight was cancelled. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, due to connections and this was entirely their fault. Approximately 12 hours later we took a “red eye” thus arriving a day late for our hotel and car reservations. We were charged baggage fees and not sure if our priority boarding will be refunded."
Pros: "On time. Was able to sleep through much of what was likely an annoying flight because there was no personal entertainment--the tiny screens overhead would have been impossible to see and they were showing a movie that was lame. It seemed anachronistic."
Cons: "At the Lima gate they made each passenger open their carryon and submit to a secondary inspection to confiscate all water we bought past security. No warning was given about this. I had paid airport prices for water to bring onto the plane and then had to surrender it at the gate. Of course in economy class they will not give you water or attention until you are at cruising altitude. More than one flight attendant did not smile and one was actually rude in spite of my attempts to be kind and smile. Except for one friendly person at check-in kiosk, bad service overall. They do not have personal entertainment systems, and it was like going back in time with the tiny screens you cannot see, playing a movie you either watch it or not."
Cons: "My flight from SFO to Miami was delayed so I missed my connection to Rio and now I’m NYC on my birthday instead of my final destination. The flight status was changed 7 times. And AA said they would get my bag off but they did not and now I have to wait at JFK and hope it got rerouted here. And if it didn’t to hope it can on another flight before I hopefully actually get on a flight for Rio. Nobody has comped me for losing a day in Rio and for my hotel room. And this has been the worst flight exeperience or my life which unfortunately landed on my birthday. One I’ll remember in a sad and bad way. American Airlines refused to compensate me because I got my tickets via Kayak and I haven’t been able to find a number to complain to a Kayak agent whom I sure would say I had to contact American Airlines and nobody would help or take responsilvitu for this disaster."

Pros: "The planes were on time. On our way down to Cozumel. The pilot let me 4-year-old son see the cockpit. Which was AWESOME, they were great As well as the flight crew on the way down. The trip down was terrific, If AA had this level of service all the time I would fly with them all the time."
Cons: "The trip home was more of what i expected from AA. The check-in process was slow and i was overcharged for my bike, On the way down it was $25 the same price as previous AA flights, On other airlines, it also just counts as a piece of luggage. On the way home i was charged $150 oversized luggage, yet it was <50 lbs and within the size limits. The flight crew was not overall friendly. Very business like and not warm at all. If they were a restaurant i would not be returning. The locks on my bike case were both broken off. the case was not locked. Nor was this done by TSA as they would have left a note as they have previously done."

Cons: "The plane had a very good entertainment system with a lot of good movies, but the flight had no earphones available, so only the passengers that had their own ear/headphones could use it. Other than that, the flight attendants were not kind in any way and items present in the onboard menu, were not available, as I asked for Pringles and there was none. I did not see anybody eating some food in this flight, other than the mini pretzels served. How a 3hour flight arriving at 09 PM, had no food onboard?"

Cons: "Paid for upgrade that wasn't great. Next class down was just as good. AWFUL FOOD!! Worst I have ever had. HATE the new seat design. Cant lean against the window because of the gap. My purse fell through the gap onto the floor behind my seat. Had to ask the person behind me 3 times to please hand it back to me. The armrest doesnt go up which helps at times getting in and out. It is a large uncomfortable impediment. The remotes were all over the place, down in the seat, on the floor. No one could find the plug in for the headphones. It is in the most ridiculous place!"

Pros: "Tiny airplane but single flght crew managed my and from what I could see fellow passengers needs commendably. Whilst I didn't like needing to hand in my carry on (without much warning so I didn't have time to pull out a magazine to read) on the plus side it was stored well as my suit carrier came out unscathed and you get your bags curb side as soon as the plane lands so you don't have to wait for the rest of the bags to unload."
Cons: "Because the airplane is so small there is not much room to move in the aisle (thankfully most people just sat down for the short flight), also you have to hand in your carry on baggage so that it is stored with the main bags."
Cons: "I paid premium price for comfort and to be treated at least nice! In the business cabinet! Other than the seat which by the way mine was broken so I couldn't get to the position I'm the most comfortable, everything else I could have gotten in the economy seat. Crew was not welcoming, the had big attitudes as they were doing me favors! Which they are not! And they didn't check at me at all. Fly got delayed more than 2 hours didn't offer more drinks or snacks! Food was horrible so I was very hungry since I couldn't eat it! And the snacks were available at the back much later but when I went to check it out almost everything was gone! Other airlines come to offer you snacks! AA did not and the make me feel like an intruder when I went to check the empty snacks trays! Only the package food was still available. Horrible service, mean big headed crew! It's is simple! Be nice and make an effort! Especially for the people that actually is there paying the premium!"

Cons: "During boarding, we were pulled out of the line. The attendant that diverted us did not explain why he diverted us. Our boarding passes were printed by our hotel as were many others that we saw. We went to a desk where another individual started asking question about our life and where we were going. Still, no one thought it was necessary to explain what part of the process or what exactly is going on. The man that diverted us, I'll bet, does not have reasons or any idea why he diverted us. I hate to think that he did it because we were Black Americans."

Cons: "I didn't like that American Airlines had not staffed our flight, so we waited for 4.5 hours for a flight attendant who would be able to complete the flight crew so we could leave. They kept delaying the flight, 5 minutes at a time, for 4.5 hours. It flew out of LGA, it was a 9pm flight. The airport food sources were closed, and AA kept us until 1am-- no food, no internet, and, because LGA has terrible cell reception, no phone service. Once we got on the plane, everyone was really hungry, and the plane had no snacks. No entertainment because the TV system was broken. It was just a miserable experience. I regret trying to save $20 by booking that flight. I have had nothing but terrile experiences on American Airlines-- NEVER AGAIN."

I missed my once in a lifetime experience because the airline is greedy at my (and other people's) expense. I missed out on a priceless experience. Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."

Cons: "We arrived at St Stomas airport 85 minutes profile to our flights departure. The female manager, Latoya, at the desk was overly rude and completely out of line the way she was speaking to guests. Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for. She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport. Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day. This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry. I will never fly American Airlines again and now know why so many other people also feel this way."
Cons: "Had to cancel my flight and call the company. Was talking to a computer for 30 min before I finally talked to someone. It cost me in fees to basically cancel my flight which ended up being just as much as my entire flight ticket. Got refunded a total of $12 to use towards my next flight. Never flying or booking a flight with American Airlines at all. Kayak couldn't even help with accommodations. Southwest is the only company that will actually hold those credits for you. Everywhere else is just trying to scam you."
Cons: "They didn't let him to aboard, because of a mistake on the name. I called to ask for help to fix the name and the person who answer me asked me for a numeric code and I didn't know where to find it. He was very rude, didn't help at lot guiding me where I can find it, but instead he said " You have to call back when you find it" I asked him that I couldn't find it and he almost yelled at me saying DID YOU GOT a RESERVATION OR NOT?. I never found the numeric code he asked for. So I called again and fortunately somebody else answer my call and she was a litTle more helpful and didn't made me waste my time with a numeric code. She asked me for the Trip ID # and I found it right away. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I LOST 700 DOLLARS. I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER PLAIN TICKET!!!!!"

Cons: "This was the second time this year I flew American Airlines And it wasn't satisfying. The first time (April) the crew was late which made me late to my connecting flight in which there were no more flights to my destination for the rest of the day (Jamaica) had to spend the night in Miami and miss a very important meeting. The second flight from Miami to NY 8/22 was delayed twice in which Im still not sure why but i had to deal with other angry passengers and they're rudeness which made my experience bad. I want American Airlines to be great. I just want to fly with them without a problem for once. JetBlue always gets it right"

People we wearing their jackets and when I mentioned it to the cabin crew member she said a few other people would have to make a similar comment before she could request turning the temperature up. There was also a glitch in the system so that the reading lights for each seat could only be operated by the seat directly in front. The food was very uninspiring and poorly presented. The tea and coffee were awful!!!!!! The choice of movies,etc was very limited. Thank goodness it was a night flight and not too long!"
Cons: "Connections to US destinations now require your checked in baggage to be processed before you can proceed to your connecting flights. The real problem is that this is no sign or communications describing this. Everyone is simply stopped in the corridor and told that they cannot proceed farther until their name comes up green on a monitor. Unfortunately the monitor switches displays so frequently that it is almost impossible to read. In addition to that it seems names do not always appear on the monitor unless you get your boarding pass scanned a the desk (this is not communicated to you unless you ask why your name is not on the monitor at all). People late for connecting flights (because of inbound flight delays) are required to wait without explanation sometimes needlessly if they don't have a checked bag. A nightmare if you're trying to make your connection. In addition once you've cleared that hurdle you need to go through security again (something we were unprepared for since we were already in the secure area. You then proceed to customs and then your connecting flight (if you haven't already missed it by then). Allow lots of time to get to your connecting flight, and ask to get you boarding pass scanned at that mysterious "checked bag" stop in the corridor."

Cons: "Real nightmare as I had booked YUL-LYS-BRU with Brussels Airlines (SN). YUL-LYS was operated with Air Canada. Came within 4 minutes of missing flight despite being at airport 3 hrs early. SN had not released ticket to Air Canada so they could not check me in. Had to call SN customer service after AC could not check me in, then wait and wait as they had to try to correct the mistake 3x before AC counter could issue boarding passes. Terrible experience going through this with 2 small kids waiting. It’s as if the two airlines’ systems don’t communicate but passenger is responsible for resolving."

Cons: "Although we boarded on time, there was a wait of over 1.5h in the plane. First time in my life i was beyond uncomfortable. What i couldn't understand was why we had to be in the plane for the refueling. It makes more sense to wait in the airport at the gate rather in a tight confined place. I'm overall pissed at the situation. Not to mention my seat was defective and although the seat was up, it would push back the moment you put weight. The flight attendant kept on asking me to place my seat in the upright position (which wasn't possible). To get her off my back, i held my back up with my own weight. I'm disappointed with aircanada."
Cons: "I want to seriously complain about Air Canada and Kayak booking systems. I reserved the tickets to Shanghai but there were no place reminding me that I need Canadian VISA to connect flights between two Canadian cities. I am a Chinese citizen who is working at USA and not allowed to change flights in Canada based on the newest government rules. However, in both booking systems, there is no reminders. In my opinion, either Kayak or Air Canada can add a simple checkbox to let the potential guest choose his or her nationality status, then this kind of trouble can be mitigated. We talked and called Air Canada people but no buying. They kept saying this is our responsibility. We bought United Airline tickets at the last minutes and cost us about $2,400 because we cannot wait to get back China to prepare our wedding ceremony and US Visa interview. We are very very disappointed with Air Canada and will keep complaining about this issue. As a service supplier, how cannot you think on behalf of a customer? The air company definitely knows more about government rules than a customer. We did have mistakes of not researching government rules. However, the biggest mistake was we trusted Air Canada and Kayak who we thought had taken care of those kind of issues for us. Thanks."

Cons: "I knew the seat pitch in economy was tight, but nothing prepared me for how truly abysmal it is. I’m 6’1”. My knees were jammed into the seat pocket. The fun continued when the passenger in front of me reclined their seat. I had to angle both my knees to the side. Without a doubt the most uncomfortable flight I’ve ever done. On a side note, AC switched equipment on this flight several times. Each time the ‘system’ would split up our seats. I had to call in five separate times to pick new seats. Also, at the gate they were asking passengers to voluntarily check in carry-on as there may not be enough room on the aircraft. First time I’ve ever heard that."

Cons: "First point of contact was incredibly rude. First she told me she couldn't find my reservation. Once she did, she gave me a lecture about my married name. Next she refused to let me take my carry on bag saying it was too large even though it fit on all flights to Montreal. Once I proved it would fit with the luggage sizer she had moved on to another customer and ignored me for 10 minutes while I stood there even though my boarding passes were printed. When I got to the flight, I found it could have been gate checked but there was no need as the flight was NOT FULL and my bag fit with no problem at all in the overhead bins. In 35 years of flying this was the worst experience I've ever had."

Cons: "Extreme delays on my return flight which made me miss my connection and get rebooked on another flight for the next day. We were delayed on departure, then on the tarmac, then in the air, and finally when getting off the plane. I am glad that I was rebooked and was given a hotel to stay at, but I did not like the way I was treated by Air Canada staff at customs. I passed through customs only to be sent back into Canada after having crossed through security because the staff decided to close. We were told by other staff members that it was up to them to decide when they were done and to talk them. I ran through the whole airport with about 7 other people to make it. Why make us cross through security only to send us back? There was no one there to guide us on what to do. I had to go through the whole thing again the following day only to have my face cream taken away (it is technically cream, not a liquid) and then be detained. None of this happened AT ALL the day before. I'd give more details but it was a complete mess."
Cons: "This flight was two and a half hours late. We lost an hour and 45 minutes due to a mechanical problem with our airplane, then lost another 45 minutes due to a storm in Toronto. Air Canada blamed the weather for our late arrival, my missed connection and claimed no responsabilility for the fact that my trip ended up taking more than 24 hours when it was supposed to take about 9 hours. Also, there was the matter of the lost luggage which was a carry on that I accepted to have checked as the Air Canada staff seemed desperate to check our carry ons on a full flight to Toronto from Montreal. I ended up spending the night in the Vancouver airport without access to my luggage."

Cons: "Some of it was air canada, some of it was weather and some of it was the montreal airport. scheduled for 6:00 rescheduled 7:00 rescheduled 8:00 boarded 8:30 took off 10:00 1. air caanda - boarded the plane, then came on with announcement that we would be sitting on tarmac for an 1.5 hours. We were delayed for hour and half already, why load us and make us sit in a warm aircraft. Air Canada offered us 10.00 vouchers for dinner... problem was they did it so late nothing was open. It should have been done earlier. 2. weather - caused the initial problem in NYC, no fault of air canada. 3. Montreal airport - Our gates were switched 3 times during the delays. Which happens, however the gate changes started at one end of the airport, moved to the other end of the airport and back to the original end."

Cons: "Our flight was turned around after we had gotten to Toronto. They claimed that they had shut down the airport due to bad weather. They took us back to Montreal where we sat in on the tarmac for two hours. They said that there was a second storm Coming through Toronto and that the airport was shutdown again. They then canceled our flight. After standing in line for three hours at customer service they told me they couldn't get me on another flight until tomorrow night and ariving at my destination two days later. The coustomer service rep then told me to just go ahead and call the customer service number because she couldn't help me. They said they wouldn't pay for any accommodations because it was weather related. The issue with their argument is that only one other flight was canceled into Toronto. Air Canada actually had several more flights that day that that landed in Toronto after they told us the airport was closed. The customer service was embarrassing. They had us wait for over three hours to be helped and there were four desk which at most times they only had two people working. Many times there was only one person. The entire thing was pathetic."

Terrible food: a slice of oily cske, served in a plastic sleeve, must be the new low for an international breakfast...no individual tvs on the sets....hello, step into the 21st century.... And the selection available via your iPad or laptop and their wifi was small, and old...we had paid to upgrade our economy tickets to the next level, and we expected more...the size of the upgraded seats was not great and there wa no foot rest to put your feet on, which is a significant help to someone who flies so many hours and can assist with circulation...."
Cons: "Tough to have a long-haul flight without functioning seat-back entertainment. Mine never worked. Asked three times about it - three times the system was "rebooted" - to no avail. I told each subsequent flight attendant that it had already been reset - they just "tried" it again. Very frustrating over the course of several hours. No one ever checked to see whether their re-set actually worked. Also, not sure why the window seats now have an arm rest on the window side of the seat - seriously interferes with passenger comfort when trying to sleep."
Cons: "One of my three flights was unnecessarily delayed by two hours, enough that I missed my last connection and had to stay overnight in Vancouver. There were no technical complications or weather complications. It was simply because something had been misscheduled and the flight crew needed a longer rest time between flights. This is completely avoidable, and the attendent who checked me in even said so. While the hotel and shuttle were paid for, Air Canada only gave me a $7 breakfast voucher, which was only redeemable at the hotel's measly breakfast counter rather than anywhere in the airport. For the unnecessary delays I had to deal with, i should had received more credit. This was an utterly disappointing travel experience."

Cons: "The 6 1/2 hour flight from Montréal CANADA to San Francisco, CA USA, is considered a "shared border flight," which means 1) you pay $25 for your first checked bag, $35 for the next, and $100 for subsequent bags. The food is horrible and the type you'd expect on a puddle jumper from NY to Boston. Clearly Air Canada executives are aware that Canada and the US are separate countries. This is just an attempt to gouge the consumer. Unfortunately Air Canada is the only Airline I can fly out of Montreal so I'm stuck with them. : ("

Pros: "The plane was nice and spacious. A CA agent stationed by customs helped about five of us get to the front of the line, so we'd make our next flight."
Cons: "1. After playing 20 questions at the check-in kiosk, it was unable to print our documents. 2. So we played 20 questions again and the second machine failed to check us in. 3. The flight was delayed about an hour (due to weather, not your fault), so our connection was tight. We alerted the agent at the gate (along with several others). She didn't help at all. She just told us to go to the gate. Well, we had to go through customs, so that wasn't helpful. What we were asking is if she could alert the gate agents at the next flight that we were running as fast as we could. 4. So five of us get to the next gate as they're paging us that the doors are closing. 5. Our bags didn't make the flight, which wasn't unexpected, but it was worrisome when the agent at our final destination told us she couldn't tell where they were."
Cons: "One man wanted me to check an empty carry on bag I travel for 10 years with this high quality foldable carry on bag, it is a tight in their test cradle because of the wheels but it does fit. Even a passanger offer me is support telling the agent he was not reasonable after getting the bag in and out 4 times he still wanted me to check the bag in ? After 10 min arguments he said ok put it on the floor ! I could of put 2 of my foldable bag on the top storage if I had 2.... it was a connecting from same airline a much smaller plane which accepeted the bag . Very unpleasant ! Some people like to feel in power."

My bag was delivered later then the promised time, it was also returned damaged. It is now almost one week since I have taken my flight and I am unable to process a claim because they have not updated my file via their Bag Tracer program. It is clear that they still have a lot of work to do to be considered a real commercial air line company"
Cons: "Boarding was slow and chaotic because of the number of passengers bringing oversize carry-on bags, presumably to try to avoid the checked-bag fee. The overhead bins filled up early, and passengers squabbled over the available space and objected when flight attendants told them they would have to gate-check their bags. The aisle was congested and blocked for long periods of time as people tried to fit their bags into the bin, and the plane left the gate more than 15 minutes late because of the slow boarding. There were about 100 people on the flight, but only about 20 at baggage claim (including at least two family groups), another indication that the checked-bag fee caused passengers to bring oversize carry-on bags. The overall rating for this flight would be significantly higher if it weren't for the boarding process."

Cons: "Our Swiss crew told us over the loudspeaker several times that "even if connecting we still need to get our luggage" which turned out to be false as our luggage was transferred to the Boston bound plane automatically... We were ushered out as a group to a connection security check which required electronic kiosks to be used for scanning our passports photos and fingerprints... They fraught with malfunctions then after waiting in line for s while we did the whole check all over again with s human security agent in s booth... There were only 2 security agents in the booths as well but there really needed to be several more to keep the line moving quicker... After security we walk directly out to departures but no mention of baggage claim, which was fine had we not been misinformed by Swiss initially... We ended up inquiring several times with SirCsnsda staff until it was clear Swiss had misinformed us."

Cons: "I didn't like that they either started boarding too early or we waited a long time to get off the runway as it seemed we were on the plane a long time before we actually left. Also we just received our snack and our drink and as soon as we received them, a stewardess told us to all put our tables up and I do believe that it was because we were descending to land. It seemed like forever before we received our snack and then we're told we couldn't use our tables. I think they should have started the snacks earlier as it was quite a big plane and it probably would take quite a long time to serve everyone and the worst part of it all was that I had asked for a can of pop, so I had to hold my can of pop, my glass pop and try to get my snack out of the package which was not easy at all."

Cons: "On the way back from Quebec City to Montreal we were asked to check our carry-ons as luggage, because "there is no room' on the plane. It was an empty flight. ALL overhead compartments were empty. Both flights - Quebec to Montreal and Montreal San Francisco were late. As the result, we have to spend 1.5 hours in the baggage claim area, because "there are no baggage agents in SFO available". THAT WAS THE WHOLE REASON WE ONLY HAD CARRY-ONS! By far, one of the worst flight experience in the last 10 year."
Cons: "After waiting 30 minutes after our boarding time, I got an email on my phone saying the gate had changed. No one at the current gate knew anything about it and I went to ask but no one could be found. I asked a man sitting behind the gate, who happened to be the pilot, and he also knew nothing about it. Needless to say, the gate changed and absolutely nobody was told about it. 2 hours later, our flight finally took off, and I was thanked by the pilot for getting us to the right gate... At least he provided a little humor to the situation! Plane also wasn't cleaned, pretzels and trash all over the floor."

Cons: "One hour delay, which was very tiring for someone who already had gone through the 9 hour flight torture from Athens. The Global Entry for US bound passengers procedure is very confusing. Maybe it would help if the steps were communicated on the US bound passengers before disembarking. First the passport process (easy) then there is this confusing process where we need to see our names in green on the screen, with some staff telling us to move on while others insist that we need to stay back and wait for our names to go green on screens that keep changing. Good idea and intentions to help clear bags, and can be improved. Overall the Montreal to DC flight (with the exception of the awful Montreal airport and the long delay) was excellent."

Cons: "The process of going through Customs in Canada stinks! We were herded like cattle in one line, all these people from many flights. Process long and tedious and then people with later flights being processed before others nearly caused us to miss our flight. After nearly 9 hours on previous flight! Not good and then not even a decent snack. I am thankful that the crew waited for us but I didn't know this until I tried to find my gate which had been changed and heard the final boarding call. Also my traveling friends and I were separated and they almost left without me. Awful situation!! Also crew on ground couldn't or wouldn't explain what was going on so kept in the dark until you actually got to next step. Would have been nice to explain what was going on!"
Pros: "I had a wonderful experience with the crew on broad. The pilot was amazing. The cabin Attendent in first class was very lovely and sweet. She was the reason for my nice experience since I had a horrible time with the gate staff."
Cons: "I had a horrible time with the gate staff. They made me check my bag at the gate even though it fits in the overhead bin. I did three flight with air canada prior to this flight with the same carryon. I didn't appreciate the ladies attitude. She said I don't care who or what class you fly so took my roller and tagged it. Then she let the guy next to me get on with his bigger roller only because he was first class. I had to upgrade myself to first class to keep my roller on me. I had things that I couldn't part from my carry on. Cost me $500 US dollar and then she said to me. What ever thrills you. Wow. I am star alliance gold with two airlines and I have never ever been treated this way ever. I will never take air canada ever again. The 1800 customer service isn't any better."
Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

Cons: "The "ping" concert. Since some designer genius (thanks, Boeing!) put all the controls in the armrest, exactly where any normal human being will rest his/her elbows, the controls keep activating every time you lay your elbow in the armrest. That means, your games will cancel and restart a thousand times, your volume will keep shifting from deafening to mute, and the button calling for help from the crew keeps going "ping" all over the plane. The crew ignored the calls, surely since they know what goes on with the plane, but I wonder what would happen if somebody really needed help. In addition to that, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, narrower than ever and hard as brick. Every time I board a new plane I wonder what can they do to make it even worse, and plane designers never cease to amaze me with new medieval tortures."

Paying in advance for our bag and getting a small discount was also appreciated. "Get what you pay for" without feeling "nickled and dimed" is what we consider economical and fare treatment."

I brought my own entertainment but I felt bad for the Older generation who may have preferred something a little more relaxing and less CGI explosions. Cons: "When the boarding was finallly finalized the airplane was ready to take off on the track for about an hour and a half and no one was told why we weren't taking off. I decided to ask and the flight attendant said that "it took long to embark all the luggage and that it won't be very long". To which, I didn't understand what one thing had to do with the other since that shouldn't be the cause to why we are paralized on the track but I just left it like that. Instantly after she walks to the back, they announce that they there was a problem with the A/C and that we had to wait to have a spot near a gate sothat we could go back and and a mecanic could come and fix it. After it took for ever... they finally fixed it but now we had to wait for gas. At this point, whitin those three hours, only one glass of water was offered to us and no appology. Thankfully, we finally took off, 3 three hours and a half behind schedule. They started to serve food and drinks to first class people and were completely taken care of but no attention to all the other passengers. At this point it's been 5 hours that we are on this plane and it seems that the service was extremly slow to get us hydraded or been offered anything to eat. My flight was 4hours away from Montreal to Calgary initiallyT And this whole event made it an 8hour travel with, the fact being completely ignored by the crew and nothing being offered for customer satisfaction. The pilot only said a small "we apologize" after we had already landed. It isn't the first time that I fly with this company and I find that it used to be one of the top companies in Quebec but the service and the quality have deteriorated overtime. There is always something negative that happens when I fly with them and I've noticed that the customer service isn't really present. It's okay but since it doesn't seem to matter to them, I will no longer fly with this company. (P.S.: this whole event caused me to miss the last bus to my final destination and have to wait at the airport until the next day at 9:30am to take the first bus in the morning... luckily I only work in the afternoon.)"

This is really bad publicity for airtransat, never had I witnessed such poor food on an 8 hour flight. Waving the standard meal at a surcharge rate is truly uncool. Offering the hot bun as a standard meal to fulfil the long flight hot meal standard is a low blow, that's all I can say."

Would have been a lot less stressful if someone had said "don't worry, the Toronto flight is waiting for you""

Hopefully, those clients with international connections were able to make it, but I suspect that several had their plans changed with this > 2 hour delay."
Pros: "It was well heated because often airplanes are too cold, I get sick and also notice that some passenger start coughing, and also me after some hours. The personal was friendly and I knowticed that they tried to please everybody. Unfortunately there was a baby who cried most of the time and her mother simply was not able to calm her. I also travelled with two babies and small children every year long distances but mine always fell asleep and never cried. I know this is beyond your control"
