Pros: "The steward on the plane was friendly, funny and accommodating to all. He took time to engage some young children before takeoff. Took into consideration who was travelling together and left a positive impression! Plane boarded early and was loaded and ready to roll AHEAD of scheduled take off time."

Cons: "Weather was the issue in Toronto on December 29, 2017. However, We're in Canada, Toronto specifically and we've dealt with weather like this NUMEROUS times. For Air Canada to cancel flights 2 times in a row without any further communications with any of us... To tell us when we'd be rebooked, how, etc. is horrible. I work in the transportation industry which is American based and we can handle this much better than Air Canada. Awful... Wendell/Gate Agent said he couldn't rebook my flight until the 31st, but when I got home I called air Canada and she was able to rebook me on the 30th with no issues. Nonsense. Wendell didn't care, he was tired, yawned in our faces like it was acceptable. Awful service. I'm flying with Air Canada on my way from India in the next couple of weeks I hope I get better service. Otherwise, completion will be my only option."

Cons: "From Toronto to London the price they charge is about the same as I pay from Toronto to Dubai using emirate or ettihad which is twice the distance. Toronto to London is a busy route so why charge such a high fare? Food. Be prepared for food that comes straight out of a cafeteria's frozen items. Entertainment. Slightly better than Turkish airline's which isn't an achievement by any means. Old aircrafts which don't have air vents. They really don't offer anything to you except charge you a lot for the busiest routes in the world. Try other airlines."
Pros: "I really like how friendly the flight staff was. The women and men were always smiling and courteous! They loaded the plane quickly and easily all while being helpful and smiling. On my flight from Moncton to Montreal I needed several vomit bags just in case some of my cousins wedding drinks wanted to come up. The stewardess quickly grabbed several for me and was very kind. Luckily nothing came up and I felt great at the end of the flight!"

An airplane that still has screens (which I appreciated!) but every time there was a PA announcement the sound would cut out for a good 10 minutes AFTER the announcement was over. Eventually I stopped trying to watch a movie because I was missing so much. Also, I really wish they wouldn't rush to get everyone on a plane when the crew is delayed and doesn't get onboard until 5 minutes before they're scheduled to leave. You know that then we're going to sit there for 30 minutes waiting for them to get ready and find us a new takeoff slot, so why didn't you just delay the boarding too? United's Basic Economy is also a scam, but at least I got a window seat. And we all know there are worse options (Spirit).

No other flights available For family of three until 3 days later! Had to demand to be transferred to another airline so my family & I can go home the next morning. Overall stuck in SNA airport for 8 hours. Didn’t get a refund for baggage, instead was given meal vouchers for the airport in the morning. United did provide hotel for the night but nothing special. United staff where nice to make the best of the situation."

Cons: "The crew at the gate was really rude. Zero customer service. She raised her voice at us and another customer who was charged $50 for our carry on. Not only was the flight delayed for over 2 hours. We were not informed that we could not bring a carry on even when we were at the main entrance with an agent for over 30 mins when you entered the airport. All their staff needs new training everyone kept on giving us a different answer. We asked because of this delayed will our room be comp due to the fact we will be missing our connected flight. On the phone the agent said yes. When we got to the airport that agent said no. When we got on the plane that agent said no. When we landed in Denver that agent comp our room. We ended up booking a room making sure we had a place to stay at night. It created more work for us because we were trying to cancel our room took even more time. Definitely wanted to give United the benefit of the doubt that they were at least at the level of American Airlines. The last time we flew United it was delayed for 8 hours they ended up canceling the flight. When we called they said it was the weather and we told that agent it's mechanical issue because we are watching someone remove the engine. We will stick to American Airlines. Free entertainment."
Pros: "My flight was delayed where I would have missed my connection, customer service rebooked on another flight which got me to my final destination early. The upgrades and consistent service is handled very well."
Cons: "Crew member working at the gate told the lady next to me "get in line if you'd like to complain" regarding the continuous delays. Crew member let us know that united was aware of our delay ed take of 4:05 rather than 1:00pm several hours before yet, We were only informed through notifications in increments of 30 minutes. be transparent with your customers, the delay would have been much less frustrating had we known. Instead notifications every 30mins were teasing us that we're about to leave but it's clear united had not intention of taking off. Also crew member on board serving beverages "I need your money" is an extremely unprofessional and inappropriate way to ask for a card."
Cons: "As a frequent flyer, I'm used to slight delays, waiting around, and standard customer service across airlines. It's safe to say that this was one of the worst flying experiences that I've ever had....6 different 30 minute delays and horrible customer service."
Cons: "That my return flight was canceled with no notification after I missed my first flight. I ended up getting a new flight and was never informed that my return flight was cancelled there for when I got to the airport to return home I had to buy another $600 ticket. After buying a new ticket when I missed my first flight (my fault, I know) but I really think I should be compensated for this inconvenience and the lack of notifying me whatsoever."

Cons: "We were in first class first row, the crew kept talking and laughing during the entire flight (this is a 5 hours flight and we landed at 5am). Loud and banging the trolleys (why, everyone is trying to sleep!). We asked them to not speak as loud, but to no avail.... asking for a glass a water was a no no, you could clearly see they were not there to help you... The entertainment system was a vintage tiny TV which did not work well anyway (loss of image...). The seat was half broken. Not sure where the first class experience was. United please do something... Start first with your employees. Send them to Southwest for training..."

Cons: "I've flown United for years and this was the most cramped plane - I'm 5'9 and I barely fit in the seat with my knees hitting the seat in front of me. Seems as though the seats have also been redone and made thinner - assuming to fit more rows in which results in more uncomfortable seats and far less room. Other than the entertainment on the flight - this was very reminiscent of a Frontier or Spirit airplane ride."

Pros: "Surprised! My experience with United has typically been very poor. It's usually my last choice when choosing an airline. This is the first time I can honestly say I had a good experience on United. Plane was new, seats were very comfortable ans spacious (very rare), attendants were all under 70 years old and service was spot on. Huge change from the United I know."

Cons: "The A319 that was used appeared quite tired. Strange irregular banging noises were heard and felt under the wing root area as jet taxied out of Santa Ana. After landing, a very high pitch squeal started and lasted 5 minutes after engine shut-down. Finally, there was a very loud "sawing noise" coming from under the aircraft after parking in the terminal that others commented about the loud sawing noise. Canadair aircraft was much nicer and quieter that was used from SFO to Santa Ana."

No help getting a bag check refund even though I paid for it a day early. Come to find out that the gate staff was courtesy checking everyone's bags anyway, and they took it with a smile. Those fools at the front were content to take my money and tell me to somehow mail my luggage to my destination (not possible since the flight was boarding in 35 minutes). There needs to be communication with the check in staff regarding courtesy check ins."

Cons: "Sat and listened the WHOLE trip except when drinks were being served to the private lives of the flight attendants. The didn't pick up trash so everyone had to place their ice and semi full drinks in the nets when it got bumpy for the landing. I watched the flight attendants the whole time- they got paid to converse about everything- here is proof- one flight attendant was complaining that she only had 4 days of vacation and that she never gets called to work- I think I can guess why- and that she has talked to Kaitlyn- I think that was her bosses name?? But she wasn't given more hours. I wish I had ear plugs. The African American lady was so unkind and uncaring. She scollded another African American lady for coming to the back to throw away her trash. She hurt the lady's feelings and made her mad too. The folks on the plane seemed to be too much of a deflection to their personal conversations, but they were successful at ignoring everyone. We had to be careful to not spill liquid on our carry on etc and not hit the cups and such with our knees on the way out. I usually fly Southwest and want to write a letter telling them how great their service is! I apologized to the cleaning crew as the flight attendants told us to not worry about our drinks"the cleaning crew" will get it. How unprofessional to treat others that way. Stop talking! You can get A WHOLE lot done when you aren't sharing your personal life and opinions with each other!"

Cons: "two hours late without any reason given, and forced to check my bag on the prior flight to the final destination meaning I can't get it at gate side. Numerous flights to Cedar Rapids through United have been canceled or delayed without any explanation - I don't have faith in United anymore and will not book with them again."
Pros: "The snack boxes are very good. The on flight crew were excellent. The gate crew - not so much."
Cons: "Row 32- seats don't recline. I requested to be sat with my children at booking - we were in different rows 3 of the 4 legs. My TV wouldn't accept cc payment."
Cons: "Having to board and put away carry on thinking the flight will depart soon and then finding out within 15 mins when everyone have boarded and settle that the maintenance delay requires that everyone must evacuate the plane with their carry on luggages. We waited at the gate for nearly 2 hours because the flight clerk told us not to roam far due to continuous updates... It started out as a 30 min delay and ended as a 2 hour delay with gate and plane changes. Had we known it was a 2 hr delay we would have been able to go use the restroom and go eat in between without worrying that the flight will depart."
