It was never stated that we had booked tickets on ROUGE, their budget airline. We are avid and frequent travelers and after paying nearly $ 5.000.00 we feel ripped-off and deceived. It is particularly painful, since this trip was supposed to be special, for our 50th wedding anniversary. If Air Canada is represented by Travelocity it should at least insist that it is not misrepresented. Air Canada's reputation is worth the effort. A more appropriate name might be Air Canada Rogue. Pros: "I brace myself every time I fly Air Canada. Things often go wrong or are frustrating in some way. So I prepare myself mentally. Although there was a takeoff delay and the boarding procedure was confusing, this flight went fairly smoothly, compared to other fiascos I have had with Air Canada."

I think it is either a corporate culture that does not see things from the customer perspective, or a morale problem that shows up as ground staff who do not want to be there. Also, Terminal 1 is a hassle. You check in at the kiosk, only to have to line up for 30 min. to drop your bag off. If I could, I would only fly WestJet."

Cons: "I only booked this ticket 3-4 months ago, and Air Canada decided about 3-4 weeks before departure to change their Inchon-Toronto route to 2-3 hours later. This really messed up my trip, increasing my total travel time from Bangkok to Columbus, Ohio from about 30 hours to about 36 hours. My wife and son will have the same issue in two weeks. The YYZ to Columbus leg was delayed over one hour, as well, extending the trip even more. The Jazz terminal in YYZ atrocious and hot. I also didn't comment on our trip from CMH to Bangkok, mostly on Air Canada. The 787 on the YYZ NRT leg had a computer issue, which is understandable. However, we were waiting for the extra pilot (for the long leg) for nearly an hour after the airplane was fixed. So my main input to Air Canada is: it doesn't really matter if you have the very best equipment. If your scheduling isn't working (maintenance, crewing, route changes, etc.), you create unhappy customers. I will avoid Air Canada in the future, as 3 of the 4 legs I had on AC tails did not go smoothly."

Even after being delayed on the ground due to rain and a mechanical problem with the ramp for three hours, the plane had to turn around and come back to Houston due to another mechanical issue. Finally left 13.5 hours late. I did receive a hotel room, breakfast and 10,000 miles compensation for the hassle, but I would rather have been in Brazil on time."

I had to walk to opposite end of the airport just to find something open. My seat and surrounding area were filthy. There was hard, crunchy food on the floor, the tray was sticky and the seat 'cushion' was rock hard. Being that I have a preexisting lower-back condition, sitting in that seat was horrible. When I asked a flight attendant for a wet rag to wipe the tray off they told me I could just switch seats and showed that they didn't care. Basically, it was a disappointing end to a great trip."
