Pros: "I was stopped at gate check in and taken to one side as passport security had reported that I was intoxicated. I was badly injured in the armed forces and have lost my hearing which affects my balance. I asked for an aisle seat as I'm a big guy as s personal trainer. But was given seat E. Next to a huge obese guy. He slept whole journey, must of had nightmares and jumped and banged me repeatadly. I had the first meal, which was not great but edible. I couldn't eat it properly as I couldn't move my left arm due to the blob Sat next to me. I asked the stewardess to wake me at the meal times so I could get more food. She didn't. Not once. I couldn't even get out the seat to go toilet or get any of the help yourself stuff outside the toilets due to the fat blob I was put next too. Totally disgusted with the whole flight and crew when everytime I've used the same company before it was excellent."

Cons: "The boarding process in ORT was a horrible fail. they didn't announce the boarding of first/business and by the time I arrived at my seat there was almost no overhead room left because people from economy put there bags in the business area. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned enough, I went twice where the floor was soaked, the seat was wet and the sink full of toothpaste. I understand that every passenger should be responsible enough to clean up after themselves, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The crew was friendly enough, but it didnt feel like the personalized service experience that is usually the case (where they introduce themselves, explain the do not disturb sticker etc). Also I think there was something wrong with my seat because it didnt "lay flat" all the way."

Cons: "As per my Oslo - Dubai review (read there for more details), they cancelled my flight, put me on a flight a day later, and then left me with the bill and the inconvenience. This was the connector out of Dubai and back to Johannesburg. I've flown with them many times and I've picked up one or two small cut backs they've made like no hot towel when you get onboard, only before your arrival, and the meal seems a little more slimmed down (but still pretty tasty), They used have one or two extras which they've now taken away. Not sure why?"

Also the interactive touchscreen was not interacting well and at some point the screen froze leaving me without the ability to continue my movie."

Pros: "Service is fantastic and all the amenities. They pretty much think of everything. The warm towels at the end of the flight, the travel bag for the long international trips were perfect. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and we were in economy so I can only imagine what it must be like in First Class! Also the free entertainment is phenomenal- wide range of choice. We also enjoyed the outside cameras that help you see views from the outside. Pretty cool!"

Emirates put us on a new flight, we were waiting in queu for 30 min, and my queu wouldn't move because of one passenger. I asked the person in charge, if it will take another 30 min, I should go to another queu (because the other two queus already finished with lines up longer. ) the guy said nothing. I was next in line and when my turn arrived, I asked for a similar seat or something at the window, he give me an angry look and give me seat 50B on EK121. That is the last seat next to the toilet. I adked him to change and give me somthing else because I have medical condition and easily get nauseau if I sit toward e end, he said, that is it ma'am. I repeated to him my request and medical conditon, he turned his face away and said next person in line! There were at least 50 more passengers booked after me and 50 more seats available, he intentioanlly gave me the seat I asked not to be given just because while standing in line I asked him, why the line up hadnt moved an inch in 30 minutes. This is a very un professional behaviour and unacceptable behaviou. I had never before had such uncomfortabel flight in my life. I had nauseau during the whole flight!"
Cons: "After traveling for 19 hours from Washington DC to Karachi, , They lost by luggage. They asked me to come and collect it after 6 hours. Went to the airport could see my luggage sitting in the trolley but still made me wait another 3 hours. NO COMPENSATION / NO APOLOGIZES Going back from Karachi to Washington DC, passenger besides me had a child in his lap throughout the flight. That passengers arm and legs were in my part of the seat throughout the flight. I could not sit or eat or relax. The child in the lap kept on touching me and the food I had on the tray as was unable to eat it. I weigh 165 but the seats are so small that one has to struggle. When back Dulles airport, had to weight for 1.5 hours for the bag to arrive @ thanks to big jumbo A380 aircraft. First class were priority. They checked in first, got their luggage first on a different belt, rest were treated like third class people. Never wasting my $ in this airline."

This was not just once but twice in a single flight. One of the stewards serving my area seemed very curt. The food was also terrible. My chicken dish was cold and very dry. Even the side bread was like a rock. The coffee that was served after the meal was cold. This kind of service is unacceptable on a 16hr trans Atlantic flight. Overall very disappointed with Emirates."

I've never had 'Homes International' and 'Don't tell the Bride' on any flights, which are favorites of mine and are very popular.. I fly on 16 flights/year domestic and international. The flight attendants were very pleasant and helpful."

Both flights were delayed in taking off. The flight to Montreal was delayed by several hours. We also sat on the runway for quite a while for both flights.
Pros: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."

Worst experience traveling by far. Also lost over a day of my expensive trip that I've been waiting to go on for awhile and saved my money for a year. I lost hundreds of dollars in events and hotels. Avoid Air Canada if possible"

Then flight was supposed to be delayed 90 minutes. This meant missing connections so automatic rebooking took place. Flight was then not delayed and had to rebook on original flight. Naturally bag didn't make the trip."

Cons: "With an hour delay out of Paris due to waiting for missing aircraft flight documents to be completed and delivered to the airplane on the holding ramp, we ended up arriving in Toronto an hour late. With only an original connection time of 90 minutes, it was not possible for me to make it thru Canadian and US customs to the connection gate. I was to learn that no other connection to a Kansas City was available until much later in the afternoon / early evening. As a result, I ended up arriving in Kansas City 6 (six) hours later than originally scheduled, three quarters of the time it took to travel from Paris to Toronto. To say the least , I was not at all thrilled having lost that time."

Cons: "Air Canada Oversold my flight, the process of reaching my destination was incredibly painful and uncertain. For example -at one point an Air Canada service representative provided me with a ticket for my original flight with a seat assignment however when I tried to board the aircraft the gate agent confiscated the ticket and then destroyed it advising that I was not supposed to get a seat. Air Canada gate agents and check in staff were visibly struggling with the computer booking/reservation system at multiple points throughout this process. For example - at one point my bag was checked on a flight that I was not on and the gate agent openly expressed disbelief and concern that it was happening outside their control... very concerning."

It was stressful because I had one night before I was leaving for a back country trip and the " lost" bag had " no hits" when the bar Cade was scanned. So I spent hours trying to find someone who could assist me. I lost one whole vacation day dealing with the bag issue. Sure wish I could get some compensation."

Cons: "We flew Air Canada Rouge both to Maui and returning. On the way out, our plane had a "fuel pump" failure and we had to sit on the tarmac for almost 2 hours. On our first attempt at a return flight, we were delayed because they were missing a flight attendant. After she showed up, we were told that a seal on the plane was leaking hot air onto the fuel tank, and we were likely not leaving the airport that night. They kept us at the gate for hours because there was a (and I quote) "1% chance we could get the part from another island, but don't count on it" The time for them to legally keep the pilot and attendants came and went, so they all left... but we were still kept at the gate. The plane left the gate and STILL AC Rouge wouldn't officially cancel the flight, because then they would have to put us up in hotels. So no crew, no plane, and all of us sitting at the gate at 2 in the morning waiting for some guy in some mainland city to call and tell us we could leave. FINALLY, the call came in, and we spent another hour and a half waiting in line to get hotel vouchers. The next day, when we actually got on the plane, my brother in law sat down to all of a sudden receive a fountain of water pouring on his head from the ventilation system. When he asked if he could get some tape or something to plug the leak of water, the stewardess told him that they are not allowed to put tape anywhere. So he stood there with a waded up paper towel. Oh, and there was puke on my seatbelt. Sure , it is a budget flight. But I am paying less for not having a meal, cramped seats, and minimal service... NOT an unsafe plane that is literally peeing on our faces for being dumb enough to choose this airline. Congrats, Air Canada Rouge for our worst flight experience. Get some planes that aren't falling apart."

Cons: "My plane was delayed an hour from NB to Toronto by an hr. We pulled up to the gate at exactly 11:10, at the time my flight to Edmonton left. They couldn't even wait 10 minutes. There were 4 of us and we missed our connecting flight. I was told by the stewardess to "run and hope for the best." I called Air Canada customer service while I was in the customer service line and got onto a flight the next morning. Once I reached the representative, a rude young Indian (Indian from India not native) man told me that it was impossible for me to have rescheduled my flight. I showed him the conformation number and he said "oh." I was told on the phone a hotel would be provided then informed that it was not by the rude man. On top of that he continuously said, I don't make the polices..I don't fly the planes. I've never used Kayak before and I have to say, I probably won't again."

Cons: "The cabin attendant was great.My wife took a pill for her medication.The attendant saw it. She brought a glass of water without a request.That was a great service.I forgot the name of that lady."

Cons: "Boarded us on the flight, sat us on plane waiting to depart for over an hour, boarded us on the wrong plane, made us board a different plane because of a mechanical issue, this was my only 2nd time flying in my life and both times with air Canada and both times were not very good flights at all, there was no communication between the stewards and the passengers at all of why our flight was delayed and hour and a half"

Cons: "Ticket agent said I could take my bag on the plane. Gate agent told me my bag not I were going on the plane unless I paid $50 to put the bag below if I wanted to get in the plane. Very matter of fact & rude. I was just about the last person they let board so there really wasn't a chance to discuss with them. No WiFi on a cross country plane, lame. No access to the headrest video screen w/o paying for it, lame. Snotty unconcerned flight attendants as well. Overall one of the worst flights I've had in memory. I would pay more next time to fly another airline."

Cons: "I did not like how my boarding pass for a ticket I had paid for long in advance had a 'see us' note about my seating. The counter attendent waltzed in after boarding had already started and treated the issue like it was a joke. I ended up seated in between two hot messes of people which made the flight seriously uncomfortable, there were no other options supposedly for me. There weren't even options for me to pay the outrageous pick a seat option when I was doing my preflight check in 24 hours in advance."

Cons: "Crew was not particularly friendly. One man was brusque when I asked for water to fill my small bottle. Rare since most crew members I've experienced have been very pleasant. Snacks were pretty paltry. Ned to serve some biscotti."
Cons: "I was thoroughly disappointed when I realized that I had to pay to get any type of entertainment on the in-flight screen. That feels like zero effort on the part of the airline to make my flight enjoyable."
Cons: "After United made me miss my connecting flight, I got an alternate flight to a different airport, but not apology, no offer to upgrade, nothing. Already frustrated, and with my knees hitting the seat in front of me because the seats are too close together, a flight attendant scolded me when I dared put my leg in the aisle (which I often do on other airlines without incident). Once on the ground, I went straight to United's baggage office to see if my bag had followed me, and encountered two of the rudest people, cutting me off whenever I said anything more than they needed to enter into their computer. If your job is in customer service, be friendly, apologize when things go wrong, understand that your customers are your reason for being in business, and be helpful."

But with me .. Rudeness and bad service .. I said "hello , how are you?".. He didn't answer .. I told him when I did my checkin my boarding pass had "See agent" in the seating section .. He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."
