I'm on crutches at the moment, so this meant more time on my feet manoeuvring around "elite status members" than I would have liked."

The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. Cons: "United airlines employee Mearle at the check in counter was extremely disrespectful, Rude, and arrogant towards everyone in line at the counter Trying to check in. Many customers including us waitted in the check in line for 35 minutes or more while Mearle proceeded to chat on her cell phone (personal call), and taking a break leaning the check in counter while everyone waited on her so she could assist with check in. Finally the passengers in front of us voice their concern to mearle stating that everyone is going to miss theirs flights if she didn't assist us all right away. Mearle responded by snapping back by saying "it's not my fault that united keep us understaffed and pay us enough to care " then laughed and walked away again. At this point we realized that if we did not get immediate assistance, that we would surly miss our flight. I walked in front of the line on behalf of everyone standing in line and reiterated to Mearle in a firm tone that she insisting check in the remaining 12 passengers immediately. Mearle snapped back telling me to "worry about my own self and don't tell me how to do my own job". Feeling very stressed out And worried about missing my flight went and stood back in line again. A few moments later I over heard Mearle tell the passengers ahead of us " you're too late. You've missed your flight" these passengers became very upset with Mearle telling her that she's the reason they missed the flight and Mearle laughed and said out loud to everyone else in line.. "you all missed your flight. You all should be more responsible next time and get here earlier" and then Mearle walked away never to be see again. Many of us missed our flight which caused many of us to also miss our connecting flights. We immediately called the 800 number and filed a complaint. Then we were forced to drive three hours in traffic to LAX where we caught a later flight and barely made it to our destination in time for our work event. We swore that because of Mearle and her disgusting behavior that we will never ever fly united again (and I fly a lot for my job) and since that horrible experience with Mearle two months ago, I've flown on four trips spending over $2300 dollars and every flight has been booked through American Airlines. Do to Mearle's bad attitude, disrespectful personality, and poor representation of united we will never do business with united again. We suggest united airlines remove Mearle from Having any contact with the general public as we are sure that Mearle is loosing customers for united at a very rapid pace."

When I bought tickets with Air Canada, I expected to fly with Air Canada, not United. I don't know how it's even legal for you to sell me one thing, have me pay for it, and then give me another. My experiences with Air Canada have been fine. My experience with United was terrible. Their check in devices freeze and don't give proper instructions or feedback, and my tray table was taped shut because it was broken. The tape looked like it was a year old. It is not ok to fix an airplane with tape. This is terrible for both of us. Now you - Air Canada - are sharing in United's PR disaster because you've effectively said buying tickets from you might just be a bait-and-switch for buying tickets with them. Upon purchasing tickets "your" customers have no way of knowing what they're going to get. Cons: "We were trying to print our boarding passes and computer didn't recognize our bar code. United employees were trying to help us and they couldn't print it either until we approched counter. We didn't see that much of professionalism on United employees. At one point one of the employees told us to go back to Air Canada counter and I thought she was not trained properly."

Cons: "My flight from Santa Barbara to SFO was delayed, causing me to miss my connection. After sitting in the Santa Barbara airport until 11pm, I was rebooked and sent home."
Cons: "Planes have mechanical issues, but they could have done more things at the same time like reboard while the post repair system checks ran and sort out baggage weights so that there weren't delays on top of delays. That was after not noticing issues with the plane until after waiting for late passengers and taxiing out. We arrived 4hrs late for a 3hr flight. They also only had one agent to rebook flights and assign hotels at the end even though they had hours to know the connections would be missed."
