Not only was my bag not on the flight. They didn't notify me until 7pm where my bag was. My flight was at 10:35am. I was left for 2 days without a toothbrush and lotion, face cream and charger and clothing. I still haven’t actually received my bag but they say it’s on the next flight. Major hassle. So rude that they must have known right away my bag wasn’t on the flight but they failed to let anyone know. I thought my luggage was stolen at the baggage claim. Major stress. Messing up my vacation. They want me to submit receipts to compensate for me having to to buy replacement stuff but the damages were more than just having to buy a new toothbrush. It was the stress and anxiety that was the major problem.
Made a lot of customers check in their bags at the gate. But the cabin space was half empty and all luggage would have fit. Doesn’t make sense.
I don’t find the seats all that comfortable compared to some airlines.
Cons: "We paid for transportation to cancun and it didn’t happen. We hope there will be compensation for the lost day. So disappointing."

Cons: "WestJet’s WiFi, to allow passengers to connect to the WestJet entertainment app, was not available on this flight which was a surprise. I don’t always enjoy flying and have some anxiety, so entertainment like movies or shows helps get me through flights. This flight was harder because I didn’t know that option wouldn’t be available."

Cons: "One of the flight attendants was incredibly dismissive. “Forgot” to ask for my order to get lunch, so needed to call him so he could take my order (he was already in the middle of eating his own food) and of course by then what I asked for was not available, and the options for food were bad. On top of that, the trash from the top of my table was not cleared for a long, long, long time (even though everyone else’s in my section were clean). First time this happens to me in all my years of flying, specially in upper economy class."
Pros: "The crew remained quite calm and polite in a stressful situation, and they gave us free food and drinks for the inconvenience."
Cons: "There was an issue with plane's landing gear so we were delayed by over 2 hours (where we just sat in the plane on the tarmac) and we had to fly with the landing gear down the whole time. This meant we had to fly at 12,000 feet the whole time so it took longer, no luggage was brought on the plane, and passengers had to be moved around to redistribute weight, but we were never really told why or what was going on in terms of how it all worked which was quite scary. I'd say close to half the passengers actually got off the plane because they didn't feel safe flying. We got in over 4 hours later than anticipated with 0 luggage. Overall the flight was very scary and now we have no luggage. Had the option of having out luggage delivered the next day or a $100 travel credit. No credit or any compensation if the luggage was delivered."
Pros: "We were on a Boeing 737-800 which had lots of legroom in economy seats. Great plane, and the pilot made up time on our flight. Arrived early. Crew was great."
Cons: "One flight attendant came through the cabin at the beginning of the flight with the offer to purchase food and that was that. Six and a half hours we got pretzels or cookies."

Onboard flight attendants were rude, I stood in the galley for 30 seconds to wait for my wife to change our baby in the washroom and was asked to move back to the cabin. Flight attendants were just eating their food back there, not working at the time."

If we hadn’t had such a great experience on the flight in, we may not have noticed the difference but this time it was noticably less attentive."

I asked for another sandwich which took a while because they were busy with other passengers. My replacement sandwich felt just as cold but it wasn’t frozen solid like the first one. It seems like a minor inconvenience but it became quite frustrating."

Because I was travelling alone, I was asked if I would move to accommodate someone with a pet carrier that would not fit under the seat they were in. I declined but wondered how they were allowed to board with an oversized case. Also seemed strange to ask a disabled passenger to move."

It's the first time I've paid for a checked bag in all my years flying with different national carriers. I.e. Qantas, Air New Zealand, Singapore to name a few. All in all. Air Canada charging like a national carrier but the baggage allowance policy of a budget airline. Not good enough in my opinion."

Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert."

On top of that they sent my bag to Buenos Aires which was the planes next destination. My bag was eventually brought to my home. Overall the experience with Air Canada has been horrible. And I lost 2 full days because of the airlines' delayed flights."

I could never get through to anyone and there is no info on your tickets about the cost of a third bag. I was charged an extra $500.00 for two extra bags that were carrying donated supplies to help the animals. But your airline made it a useless endeavor because they ended up costing more than they were worth. The people at the gate were unbending and I'm so disappointed that it is more important to you to make money than help non-profit organizations. I have run Isla Animals for 15 years and have had much help from kind airlines, I won't be flying yours or recommending yours to any dog lovers."

It does not do much for the image of Air Canada be a leader in the industry and be up front all the way."
Pros: "We left and arrived early, the seat was surprisingly comfortable (it helped that there were lots of empty seats, including next to me), my full-size carry-on fit easily in the overhead bin, despite it being a small plane, the in-flight entertainment was always on and pretty good... everything went well."
