Cons: "Anyone who flies the route NVT-GRU knows two things. The departure and landing times are unreliable and they always....always over sell seats. Navegantes (NVT) is a very small airport but connects to so many international flights. The city and many of the neighboring towns have become vacation hotspots. I personally fly this route twice a month these days So many bad things happen because of their poor on-time results and overbooking. The worst of which is missing your connections. This was the third time in 2 months that I’ve missed my connection in São Paulo to NYC. This time I purposely took an earlier flight 6:40pm so I would have no chance to miss my 11pm flight to New York. Then a 2 hour and 20 minute delay! My God ...really? Another missed flight. GOL you CAN do BETTER! ."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed due to bad weather which was not the airlines fault but they gave us no updates then didn't help at all once we missed all or connections. In the end, we had to purchase new flights from Sao Paulo to Sydney to make our important function on Wednesday morning. We went to the Etihad desk in São Paulo and they did nothing to help us except suggest we complain via the website. The worst flight experience of my life!"

Cons: "Check in at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio was absurdly slow -- just three or four agents for a mob of people. Each agent seemed to take 15 mins to issue each boarding pass and check bags. Many passengers were in a state of semi-panic. They moved like molasses. After arriving at Garulhos in São Paulo, those same bags took 40 mins to come out, causing me to almost miss a connecting flight."
Small seats means other passengers thoughtlessly take up your space. At least it’s a short flight.

I had to press the button three times so that anyone could come to me. Didnt find the crew very willing to repeat some needed information about the food too. The airplane was full and simply there werent enough toilets for this amout of people there. Honestly, it was a terrible experience."

No check-in availability notification on the second leg, and I got the flight delay notification after I landed (6 hours later)! Pretty useless. Everything is nickle and dimed with no included food except for the tiny snack thing on a 6 hour flight. It's pretty difficult to get their app to work for entertainment."

Cons: "In the past Air Canada has been great. This past experience makes me never want to fly again. In-flight entertainment is the worst I have ever experienced on an international airline. Entertainment options were very limited, and it didn't work for most of the flight (crew tried resetting the system, to no avail). Crew were inattentive and seemed more focused on hanging out in the back of the airplane socializing with each other. Food was terrible, and I am generally pretty easily pleased when it comes to food. Return flight was delayed twice without any announcements or explanations in the boarding area. Flights were completely full and airplanes were old and uncomfortable. This flight was cheap for a reason. Pay the extra amount and fly another airline."

Cons: "There was only one working bathroom for coach. I think they said there were 3 working toilets total on the whole plane. I usually like airplane food, but this time it wasn't good. The exit row seats that we "upgraded" to were incredibly narrow, and there's nowhere close to stow your things. Then someone was in our seats when we boarded, and they took all our overhead bin space, so we were left with nothing for our flight. I would Not recommend paying extra for the exit row seats."

Cons: "I arrived at the gate and looked at my ticket to see "GTE" where the seat number usually is. I was informed upon arriving at the desk at the gate that that meant Air Canada has also decided to participate in the ridiculous practice of overbooking their flights and that even though I purchased my ticket roughly 8 weeks prior, there was a chance I might miss my flight to my friend's WEDDING. The lady who was working the desk was as unhelpful and dismissive as you could possibly imagine, refusing to look at me and giving me attitude for merely waiting in the area to see if anyone had missed the flight so I could get on. It was surreal; the only way I could describe her incomprehensible behavior would be to say it was as if her boss were right in front of her and she was trying her damnedest to get fired. It was one of those situations where you could tell this miserable, miserable person was enjoying the power trip she was on and doing everything in her power to make me feel helpless and angry. I made my flight, miraculously, but it was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life, airport or not."

Cons: "This was the last leg of a 24 hour journey from Venice to Seattle for my sister and me. After having a 3 1/2 hour layover, our plane was supposed to leave at 6:30 PM and kept getting delayed. One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of communication by the staff! We could see them at the counter where our gate was but no one would come out and talk to us! Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"

We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

Cons: "Flight attendants could be more aware of his/her surroundings. For example, I was either stepped on (as a result, being woken up) or my backpack was stepped on several times when an attendant was walking down the aisle, and neither of those things were sticking out into the aisle. This has rarely happened to me on trans-Pacific flights (more crowded, longer flights) so I can only attribute it to the carelessness of the attendants and/or the aisle width but since I think aisle width follows international standards it's more likely the former."
Cons: "Cancelled flight and didn't even tell me a reason. They couldn't even make reservation for hotel. Hotel sent me back to airport because i didn't have voucher which AIr Canada guys said they can't make one? Everything didn't make sense. And they told me not to come again. They took like... whole day to book another flight. And i had hard time understanding what they were saying."

Cons: "The luggage drop line was terrible. Only few stations were open and they worked incredibly slow. At the Toronto airport, we were made to fill up customs forms even though we were set for international transfers. None of the questions on the form made any sense since we were not entering Canada but rather leaving for other international destinations. Because of this formality, we had to pass another line which took another 30 minutes. Furthermore, they denied me at the counter because my original check in crew was unable to print my second boarding pass for some technical reason. But, there was noone at the customer service desk to print a boarding pass for me. I had to wait another twenty minutes just for this! All of this happened in a "neverland" section of the airport that didn't even have any restrooms! This could really turn into a nightmare scenario."
Pros: "The selection of current movies was varied enough (the content got a little staler on the return trip). The hot food tasted good and was hot. The crew was not stingy with the drinks, which I always like even if they come around fewer times"

Pros: "Although I didn't have a seat assignment when I went to the airport I was treated very politely and given my choice of seats."
Cons: "My first message was to advise me my flight was 2 hours & 45 minutes late 2 hours before I was to go to the airport. My seat light switch didn't function neither did the jack on the entertainment system (unless one held it in exactly the right way while watching. I lasted 1 1/2 hours before I gave up. So I spent 2 hours dealing with being able to fly with Air Canada before I even got on the plane. I'm switching."
Cons: "first flight cancelled, second flight delayed so impossible to get the connection. Nobody called me about it, I had to go to ask."
