Cons: "Last 4 rows of overhead bins reserved for crew and plane paraphernalia. Piece of overhead bin fell off and almost hit another passenger during boarding."
Cons: "BOTH OF MY CHECKED IN LUGGAGE WERE LOST"
Pros: "The crew was kind"
Cons: "Seat space is too cramped"
Cons: "The flight was fine, but the aircraft arrived 3 hours late. That’s a long wait."
Pros: "Comfortable and a very friendly flight crew."
Cons: "Terrible layover in Vancouver. There was not need to make us leave the plan for 3 hours and get back on the same plan"
Pros: "Quick flight. Dlient Service in check-in was excellent, she went the extra mile to change my return flight to a more reasonable time."
Cons: "Food at Air Canada. Very bad."
Cons: "The seats have to be the most uncomfortable I have ever had a chance to use. They were uncomfortable from the get go, so it is not just the length of the flight. The general cleanliness was also an issue."
Cons: "No potable water on board meant no tea or coffee."
Pros: "Entertainment system is better than usual"
Cons: "No wifi available for purchase for such a long flight"
Pros: "Crew was great! Seats small and terrible !"
Pros: "The boarding and deboarding of the plane were done quickly."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 4 hours and the entertainment selection was subpar."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Seats the the very rear"
Pros: "Friendly staff, happy to help"
Cons: "Terrible food, plane was overbooked, they only offer 'in-ear' headphones, they have squeezed maximum seats into this plane to increase their profit. Would absolutely NEVER fly Air Canada long haul economy or premium economy again."
Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"
Pros: "Kind and polite service."
Cons: "This is my 4th time getting my flight cancelled with air Canada for no apparent reason. The food was horrible and the service was worse. Never again."
Pros: "Walking past the Turkish Airlines desk in Dulles and knowing I would NEVER have to interact with these monsters again."
Cons: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."
Cons: "Wirnessed a nasty discussion between crew member and passanger."
Pros: "Chairs and the space was very good."
Cons: "Crew and the food was very poor. This is the only long international flight 10 hours that served a night grate dinner and the crews got disappeared the rest of the flight and no breakfast."
Cons: "I did not fly to Montreal and I did not catch flight to Barcelona I am fling again tonight Toronto - Barcelona direct"
Pros: "Reasonably good all around."
Cons: "I paid for an upgraded seat on this flight and wished I hadn't. Whole rows of seats were empty and I would have been more comfortable in my original seating, according to the seating plan during online check in the entire plane was booked out but for a few seats."
Pros: "Seat were comfortable (however the struggle is when you have someone with long legs behind you...)"
Cons: "Entertainment was using the app, they could have had a sign at the gate so those of us that didn't have it could have download it before boarding."
Pros: "Wasn't too late. Plane seemed clean."
Cons: "Seated beside a young child with behavioral problems. Father mostly slept. Child stood on seat and jumped up and down, crawled under seats, threw ipad on my foot repeatedly, spilled his drink all over himself and his seat, screamed whenever his seat belt had to go on or his table top couldn't be down. At one point, the dad lost his temper, swore at the child, and covered him with a blanket in a big screaming match before doing up his seat belt--I was afraid he had smothered him but it had the effect of calming him down. No attendant even tried to intervene apart from asking "can I see your kid's boarding pass?" People should have to disclose when they are travelling with a child with severe behavioural problems and attendants should rescue anyone forced to sit beside one or at least make the parent care for the child. Also, a minimum of crackers or pretzels would be nice with drink on 5-hour flight. The entertainment system wasn't operating correctly and kept having to be reset by crew or reset itself. And, after first class etc. board, why don't they board the people at the back of the plane first, not the ones at the front? It took forever because people in front zones hadn't settled into their seats before people from the back zones tried to board."
Pros: "Three meal provided. Polite crew. Good customer service. More limited weight for the carry on. Generous for the excess size or weigh the baggage."
Cons: "Not enough Asian movie since this fight is to Hong Kong. Seat and space is not big enough."
Cons: "The 6 1/2 hour flight from Montréal CANADA to San Francisco, CA USA, is considered a "shared border flight," which means 1) you pay $25 for your first checked bag, $35 for the next, and $100 for subsequent bags. The food is horrible and the type you'd expect on a puddle jumper from NY to Boston. Clearly Air Canada executives are aware that Canada and the US are separate countries. This is just an attempt to gouge the consumer. Unfortunately Air Canada is the only Airline I can fly out of Montreal so I'm stuck with them. : ("
Cons: "- No drink service offered on the second flight - Hard seat in coach, very uncomfortable flight, won't fly Air Canada ever again"
Cons: "I called customer service to ask questions about the meal options, and for both flights (14.5 hrs) they signed me up for the wrong meals! The staff on the first flight was extremely rude and unhelpful, and refused to let me eat any of the extra meals. Making matters worse, I had asked customer service when I called if they sell food on the flight, which I was told yes. This turned out to be untrue. I had to survive the 14.5 hour flight by only eating 3 tiny bags of pretzels. I sent an email to customer service to complain about this (can't do this over the phone), and didn't hear back for more than a month. On my return international flight, I was AGAIN signed up for the wrong meal (vegan) even though I specifically went over my dietary preference (vegetarian, eats eggs and dairy). Then my luggage was left in Vancouver while I made my way to Sydney, so I had to wear the same clothes for over 72 hrs while the airline "apologized" with giving me only $50. I finally got someone to respond to my complaints when I tweeted them, and their response was that I selected the vegan food option...NOPE, and that's not an apology. I will not fly them again. (PS: they don't give eye masks or toothbrush/toothpaste on international flights even though other airlines do, and their selection of movies/TV shows is about half of other airlines)"
Cons: "The post office lost my passport and I was unable to go on this flight. Customer service was unwilling to provide a solution that did not cost thousands of dollars to rebook and see my family for Christmas."
Pros: "screen and interface"
Cons: "back of seat/head rest uncomfortable, average food in very small quantities films not refreshed fast enough, same in and out flights"
Pros: "Crew was lovely. Boarding flight was easier as we were alou d to go on first with small child"
Cons: "Not a lot of space on flight. The food could be improved."
Pros: "People working at the check-in counter in Sydney were friendly"
Cons: "Delayed departure and while I was rebooked for the possibly missed connections already in Sydney it was a premature decision as I would have made the connection in Vancouver. Food on a long flight is important - lousy meals and worst sandwich ever!"
Pros: "Guys, we were traveling in the middle of Matthew hurricane and the pilot was just perfect, we didn't feel it. No bumps, no disturbance, nothing. Like shiny day. Congrats"
Pros: "Apart from food there was nothing great about the flight"
Cons: "The staff is the worst, the air hostesses are rude and treat you bad. The service is very poor."
Cons: "It was cancelled."
Pros: "I honestly can't think of anything I liked, other than the plane arriving and leaving on time."
Cons: "The in flight entertainment is a joke, it's a 14 hour flight so why are there only 3 episodes of any tv show? The food was inedible, and beverages were limited to 3 choices coffee, water or juice. I was trying to sleep on the plane but every time a flight attendant would walk past me they would run into me (and I was very much within my seat) and wake me up. They also woke me up to ask if I wanted food twice. The seats were so uncomfortable. I'm an able bodied 20 something and if I am in this much physical pain from flying I can't imagine what an elderly person must feel like after flying Air Canada. The pillow that was provided gave me no comfort what so ever, it wasn't think enough to even offer some back support."
Pros: "The Air Canada agents and staff were very helpful and accommodating to the best of their ability. I hugged one female AC Agent in TO as she was so kind and helpful, and told her she was the highlight of my day."
Cons: "The processing of Air Canada passengers to the connecting Gates and through Customs for USA international flights was a nightmare. It was very disorganized, with hundreds of passengers herded like cattle, poor communication, customs slips not provided on the AC Flight before landing so as to be completed in advance. There was staff shortage, and not done in a timely manner so as to make your connecting Flight. It has truly been a most stressful experience for me this and each time I have to go through Toronto to make a connecting flight , and I will avoid this flight plan in the future at all cost."
Pros: "Flight attendant's were friendly amid the circumstances."
Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."
Pros: "Excellent flight"
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "Nice flight attendants"
Cons: "In flight entertainment wasn't working on my seat."
Pros: "Billy Bishop airport is awesome!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed and crew didn't accommodate a rebooking despite availability .. Although original flight did board soon after."
Pros: "Flight was early"
Cons: "Drink serve very slowly not that it is important"
Pros: "Crew was nice and very helpful.. Nice selection of movies.."
Cons: "Food could be improved.. no flavor and it looked over cooked.. Drinking cups could be switched to paper cups.. or recycled one's.. Packaging and overall rubbish could also be reduced. 777 seats were to narrow.. bigger seats are a must for such long flights. Internet access could be free.. with a limit of course.."
Pros: "Things were very good. Staff was freindly."
Cons: "The internet wasn't working but not a problem for a 1 hour flight."
Pros: "On board facilities and service"
Cons: "first flight cancelled, second flight delayed so impossible to get the connection. Nobody called me about it, I had to go to ask."
Pros: "The food was amazing! The quality and the freshness, please continue serving Korean food on the flight!"
Pros: "I would have to say Air Canada offered the "best" service, flight, crew and environment I have ever experienced in Business Class."
Cons: "Food could be improved"
Cons: "air canada overbooks their flights....consequently, i wasn't able to be on the flight that i had booked with kayak. they have flex seating which gives business people who fly alot preference to change their flights at a moment's notice. bad policy for the rest of us."
