The flight had to return due to maintenance issues and then was cancelled
Upgraded to sit at the exit door so good leg room.
I did not follow this route as I was forcefully rerouted.
Flight was in business class on an older Lufthansa 747. Business class seats definitely old style. Flight attendants were a little curt but attentive. Movie choices did not include anything that would be considered new releases.
I will never fly Air Canada again. 5 hour delay due to plane problem which could have been fixed while plane sat empty. We offered a $15CAD voucher for dinner due to delay, BUT that is NOT Even enough for a hamburger. Air Canada rebooked my 87 year old mother on an onward flight in Munich with NINE HOUR layover without rebooking me on same flight. Air Canada apparently cancelled my onward flight as I was offered a refund for the Lufthansa leg from Munich. Fortunately, Lufthansa Service Center staff was very helpful rebooking us both on same flight which was one hour earlier, so only 8 hour layover. Lufthansa airport Mobility staff as well as plane crew were awesome and extremely helpful with wheelchair support. Spoke with others who were on same flight from YYZ to MUC and there was at least one other person that was not rebooked onwards (from Munich to Hamburg) by Air Canada but was able get support frkm LH Service Center staff. The Air Canada plane crew was very helpful, so the overall issue is Air Canada systems, and gate agents that have caused multiple negative issues on AC836 YYZ to MUC on May 18th. Similar to what others on this flight have said, I will NEVER, EVER, NEVER AGAIN fly Air Canada. And I've likely flown over 1 Million miles with them, with lots of miles in Business Class and have held Elite, and Super Elite status.
Very tight leg room and not a fan of the new policy on no free carry on luggage. Besides that, it was fine.
Flight delay, cancellation rescheduling and misdirected luggage which created some stress. It all worked out in the end.
Our return trips from Lisbon to Vancouver were the worst flights I have EVER been on. Our seats from Frankfurt to Vancouver were most uncomfortable. The 'table ' was not only dirty but broken. My headrest ' support' too was broken, leaving a spot where a broken attachment poked at your head. My food was the worst food I have ever had on any flight. Staff....they all looked and acted as though they hated their jobs!! The Calgary to Vancouver wasnt much better. We had NO services even though we were told of complimentary beverages etc.. That didnt happen. I asked for window seats, assured by the ticket agent I was given a window seat...NOT. Please dont make me go on. Our trip from Vancouver TO Madrid was great......so we were most discouraged at the events of our return trip.
The flight was delayed several times, however , they kept me well informed with enough advance warning that I had not left home yet
Well considering they didn't transfer our luggage once we arrived in Frankfurt to our Air Canada SUCKS!
everything was perfect! plus so much leg room w all the empty seats near me :)
All was good, except my USB charging did not work, so my phone got drained and I could not charge it. Same happened to my neighbour.
I liked Quiet people around me. Crew could have helped people with overhead luggage so they aren't moving other peoples bags around and causing problems for people that had there bags there first
I paid extra for more comfort, didn't get any better than any other seat, tv didn't work on both seats, it'd
Flight cancelled support worse than useless. Asking me to drive back and forth between terminal, I was expecting supervisor call within 30 minutes, never happened.
They didn't open the Check-in desks for almost an hour after they should've been open (even though encouraged us to check-in our carry-on luggage because it was going to be a full flight). They alerted us that the flight would be delayed but slow-rolled informing us of the extent of the delay...which ended up being over 3 hours. As a result of this, I missed my connecting flight and had to stay over-night in Munich when it would've been a lot better for me to just stay in Warsaw another night....Lufthansa wasn't done with me yet though as I had more bad experiences with them after getting to Munich.
The plane was delayed by two hours in Chicago which led to us missing the next flight. Lufthansa rebooked the flight and booked us a hotel for the night in Frankfurt. The level of customer service and getting us taken care of was superb. The flight crew and the service on the ground was superb.
Efficiency of staff, and comfort and cleanliness of aircraft was all great. Maybe a hot drink without payment at that time in the morning would be good!
Stop charging for alcohol overseas flights and start taking cash again not everyone wants to pay with card if the person is bigger give him seat on the outside seats not the middle in between the people is common sense and mainly if you fly for Lufthansa provides the sam service and experience...
