Pros: The plane didn't crash like website and they did not charge $10 for printing off my boarding pass, as no one could with website down. Also, some budget airlines now only allow 40lbs in checked baggage, Looks like they allow 50lbs.

Cons: Similar problem on the way home, could not book luggage online but could check in. Shop closes at 5 CST so could not call. Even though we told at checkout that it was because of the Christmas volume online, still had to pay Airport (extra) price to check-in baggage. They said I could perhaps get the penalty fee returned if I called in. Told her it's not worth 2 hours on a paid long distance call to get $20 back.

Okay 4.3

Cons: WestJet seems unable to stick to a schedule. Three of my four flights were delayed and a connector flight through Toronto was cancelled altogether just after midnight, leaving me stranded at Pearson Airport. The ground crew were disorganized and unable to provide clear answers – other than their complete assurance that WestJet bore no responsibility for providing hotel accommodation.

Okay 4.0

Cons: The stewardess (Stephanie was her name I think) grabbed my arm and pushed it out of her way rather than asking me to move. While it may sound dramatic, I am certainly not accustomed to a stranger putting their hands on me and it was hugely inappropriate and ruined my flight. This was my first WestJet flight after flying countless times with Air Canada. The whole experience was soured and I will never look at WestJet the same again.

Mediocre 3.3

Cons: New leaf discontinued their Sunday Halifax to Hamilton flight which was to be my return flight home. They did offer me a full refund if I needed to cancel or to rebook on a different flight but I couldn't make the new dates work so I took the full refund. I booked the flights in December for a flight in Feb and they cancelled half way through January so there wasn't a lot of notice given

Excellent 8.0

Pros: Great crew, fast boarding, nearly empty plane so I had the whole three seat row to myself.

Cons: The hydraulic pump for the inboard flaps sounded like it was on it's last legs and howled whenever adjustments were made. The cabin pressurization system whistled so loud that I had to put ear buds in to protect my hearing (just on takeoff/landing). Proper maintenance is important!

Pros: Great movie selection

Cons: Late departing and on arrival the ground crew wasn't available so we were stuck on the plane awaiting their arrival. I can't understand scheduling issues that end up leaving jets stranded.

Good 6.0

Pros: The flight itself was fine and the crew was excellent. The boarding process was efficient.

Cons: My center seat, which was assigned, put me in an extremely uncomfortable position physically for the entire 14 hour flight. My two seatmates extended physically into my space, and minimal legroom meant by knees were pressed against the seat in front. I was not happy at the lack of seat choice.

Pros: Helpful person at check in counter when I couldn’t check in online and the kiosk would not complete my check in process. Easy boarding. Very relaxed and friendly flight crew (less militant than other airline crews).

Cons: There was some sort of glitch with my record and I could not check in online or at the kiosk. That was frustrating. I called customer service and it was a VERY long time on hold to get an agent.

Cons: They didn’t put enough fuel in the tank and the pilot only noticed when we were next in line to take-off so that led to a 30 minute delay. Some terrible seat designer put the call button and light control on the armrest exactly where your elbow rests so every few seconds you would here a call bell.

Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in CAD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
