Cons: "No inflight meal, no inflight entertainment for 10 hrs onboard."

Pros: "Very friendly crew. Good seating"
Cons: "V limited complimentary food for long haul flight"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Always delays with this airline, hope their service improves now they have been bought out by Air Canada. Staff need training on how to deal with their delays, rather than the "I know as much as you" answer. Their staff have always pleaded blind ignorance when disruptions occur. AVOID."

Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Lack of food for long haul flight. Had to pay to eat. 43 dollars and only able to pay with debit/credit card rather than cash"

Pros: "Friendly crew, informative captain."
Cons: "Nothing- it was a very short flight, didn’t need anything else."

Pros: "Crew were very friendly and were having a good time during the flight, which was nice to see."
Cons: "No pillows or blankets supplied, luckily I had my own otherwise I would have been miserable. Worst surprise was that there was no food provided. On a long haul flight that was surprising, they should clearly say that on booking. There were snacks available for purchase, but not great."

Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Everything"

Pros: "On time, free coffee, free pretzels"

Cons: "It does not have free food and entertainment, but for the price this is acceptable."

Pros: "Good price for long haul destination. Efficient check-in and boarding process. Decent leg room for a budget airline."
Cons: "Food choice a bit limited - especially the free offering. In-flight entertainment is only available from the WestJet app to view on your own device - you need to know this before you board - otherwise you are not able to access any of the movies etc."

Pros: "Sensible ticket price"

Pros: "The crew were very amiable and one member in particular was quite funny during the seat belt demonstration. First one I've paid attention to the entire time."
Cons: "Plane was freezing cold and seats were quite uncomfortable."

Pros: "Staff were helpful and smiling. Good value"

Pros: "It was clean and on time"

Pros: "Great service when checking in. Flight on time and comfortable."

Cons: "Haven’t yet reached our destination, it’s our honeymoon and would have hoped to have got ther by now instead of which we are having to layover in Vancouver until the next flight because of delays on first Leg of journey we missed connecting flight"

Pros: "Kind, courteous and helpful staff"
Cons: "It was good overall"

Pros: "Kind helpful staff"
Cons: "That you have to pay for entertainment and food on long haul flights"

Pros: "I’m very good"

Pros: "staff on airline great"
Cons: "Lost my luggage hopefully I’ll get that tomorrow. Airline charged me 70 pounds for that. Staff at customer service were not helpful at all."

Pros: "Smiling faces and humor from the crews."
Cons: "None."

Pros: "Price was perfect."
Cons: "Airlines don't have small tv's to watch and give out cheap snacks. Flairaire is so cheap you even have to buy your beverage unless it's a glass of water. Wasn't overly impressed with this airline. Also getting your itenairy online was also difficult. I had to change email information and call customer service which was in Spanish not English language. Then while lining up at the airport to process and check bags there was no computer to self serve and get through the line up faster and efficiently. The main clerk that helps with the line up was rude to passengers. Stating that on a domestic flight you need to be 2 hours ahead of boarding. Which most of us were a good 90 minutes to pre boarding. All of the struggles can be avoided with self serve check-in and prepaid bag check. The flight and crew were friendly and pleasant."

Pros: "Good in flight entertainment and food"
Cons: "Not enough leg room"

Cons: "Yea missed the connection due to taking an obviously not sick young woman off flight from Jamaica I am a doctor"

Cons: "There was not enough room for my carryon for some reason and so I had to sit with my knees up and feet on my bag. Not the worst but there should be enough carry on space for everyone."

Cons: "snow caused my flight to be cancelled instead of the direct flight to nyc i flew via Atlanta. due to the timings of the flight - landing at 2.30 am, leaving at 7.30 am - i had no option but to sleep on the airport floor i will try to avoid fliying with westjet in future - staying loyal to air canada - to avoid the risk of such a terrible flight diversion"

Pros: "THE flight got me home"
Cons: "Th check in staff made light of what seat I was assigned stating it was the best seat. 23A a bulkhead back row seat that did not recline. I was then Seated next to an individual that should have had two seats to themselves instead of most of my seat and theirs. I was literally pressed into the bulkhead by the very large person next to me. Who had another large individual next to them. WestJet used to be a great airline that Had a little more legroom. Now airlines like flair offer the same flights with more legroom wider seats and far lower costs. WestJet has lost me as a customer that used to pay a little extra if There was a WestJet flight option"

Pros: "The staff were nice enough on the plane"
Cons: "They said we were pre boarding so we went and stood in line with our 2 year old. Finally after 15 minutes they actually started letting the line through when they could have just waited 15 minutes to even announce the pre-boarding line. Then we boarded the plane and it was late and another 30 minutes waiting to fly. There was no TVs.. and whatever, we brought our iPad We got to Edmonton and our car seat was quite damaged. West jet couldn’t give us anywhere near the car seat we have and not one that fits in my car."

Pros: "It was a smaller aircraft and the staff were friendly"
Cons: "was right at the back of the plane and could not hear the announcements clearly."

Pros: "It was overall ok , but over all disappointing that west jest became such a budget airline."
Cons: "I’m disappointed that west jet became such a budget airline, it used to be my favourite. Now there’s no monitors, you got to use up your own power from devices. I prefer to save my battery when travelling."

Pros: "comfortable seats friendly crew"
Cons: "no entertainment system, fee for renting tablet not enough room in overhead no complimentary food or drink service"

Pros: "I flew through the air in a metal container across the country in the time it would have taken me to drive 400 km, so that's pretty neat."
Cons: "Provide complimentary movies West Jet. Parading around tablets to rent for $6 is a bad look."

Pros: "It was a good flight. Comfortable and on time."
Cons: "I rated food low as there wasn't any nor did I expect it. No problem."

Pros: "Everyone was kind and helpful. Keep up the good work."
Cons: "Trip was too short."

Pros: "I had a 5 month old baby and the crew was super smiley and friendly. Also, the flight wasn't full so there was plenty of room. I really enjoyed my experience. Thank you Westjet!"

Pros: "This was my first time flying Plus and I don't think I can ever go back. Worth every penny."

Pros: "Most things"

Pros: "The staff was nice, they were very professional, efficient, and friendly, The seats were comfortable the plane was clean."
Cons: "Some of the announcements were a bit fuzzy."

Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "All flights boarded late, they ran out of food for purchase on long flights and the seats are uncomfortable."

Pros: "Nothin"
Cons: "How there was no boarding call and we missed our flight."

Pros: "Airport Terminal waiting area was nice."
Cons: "Changed planes, changed seats after paying for advanced booking. Service was poor, cabin was hot."

Cons: "Seat space was too tight"

Pros: "The courtesy of the flight crew, and above all, the smooth flight conducted by the Captain.T"
Cons: "There were no specific "hiccups" or negativity pertaining to the flight."

Pros: "Crew were great..."
Cons: "Food was very poor. Entertainment was awful"

Pros: "Only check in and boarding was smooth."

Cons: "The crew should be trained more on customer service"

Cons: "Food could be improved by improving preperation"

Pros: "Crew as always with air Canada were very accommodating. Always smiling!"

Pros: "Staff were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Movie selection was limited although I found one in the lot that I thoroughly enjoyed. As always with Air Canada, you only get the most basic snacks and everything else is extra."

Cons: "Air Canada needs to step up their game and get better in seat technology."

Cons: "The vegetarian meals, they were not enjoyable, we actually couldn’t eat them. I wish we had not gotten vegetarian meals as the regular breakfast was a choice between pancakes or omelet with fresh fruit, which where both vegetarian. They need to make a difference between vegetarian and vegan."

Cons: "Over 11/2 hour late with no explanation."

Cons: "Entertainment system kept kicking out & had to start over. Gave up"

Pros: "The extra leg room that you have to pay for."
Cons: "Insufficient padding in the “premium” seats. No decent meal selections. The wrap that I had was primarily a tasteless piece of flat bread."

Pros: "Boarding easy & fast"
Cons: "Plane lat, extremely hot, & only 1 explanation with no updates"

Pros: "I liked that they didn't make a fuss when boarding that I wasn't in the section but needed to board earlier due to a knee injury."
Cons: "That they didn't really stop long enough for me to ask for a snack. They asked the other side but as I was on the window seat, I couldn't seem to get their attention."

Pros: "In flight attendance was excellent and we were nearly overfed with plenty of drinks, snacks and meals. It was nice to see both young and elderly ladies as air hostess. This is a strong statement in non discrimination on Account of age in employment. To see a red Indian lady among them was very refreshing."
Cons: "Dimming of the windows was not user friendly and we had to put up with bright reflected lights from clouds. On ground both in Calgary and Vancouver the wheel chair attendance was not at the same level as in Frankfurt where it had been given with paramedic competence."

Cons: "Really doesn't fit into the "didn't like" category but my boarding pass said Zone 6, however there was no Zone 6 called nor signage for it. Even the person checking our boarding passes was surprised. Just a comment really!"

Pros: "Flight was great. Check in not so."
Cons: "On March 18, 2018 Joanne, Kevin, and Allison Sheridan were booked to go from SYD to YYJ and only Kevin took off. We went to the airport and my daughter Allison was too anxious to get on as she had to leave her father behind. After she calmed down we went to get on the flight and the lady at the check in, (Onwsha) said it was too late and we could leave the next day. She changed my tickets on the computer and said if we came on Monday, March 19th there wouldn't be a charge but if it was any other date it would be $150.00 per ticket/person. When I arrived to check in on March 19th I was charged the $300. I spoke to Sharon Smith who was with Air Canada Customer Service Coordinator and I explained I was told something different by the customer agent. I told her if I knew that and I was told by Onwsha I would have went on the flight on March 18th but would not have checked the bags and just taken carry on luggage as my husband was still at the airport and he could bring them when he came over. Sharon Smith said there was nothing she could do and we had to pay the $300.00. It really has left a bad taste for me with Air Canada especially how many seats were spare and I was told something different from Onwsha. Thank you for your time. If any other details are needed feel free to contact me."

Pros: "The zone system seems to work well for boarding and the cabin crew on my flight to London were superb, helpful and polite to myself and others, despite a few impatient passengers."

Pros: "Only thing good was the brevity of the flight."
Cons: "The aircraft was dirty and ridiculously cramped. Air Canada undermines its brand by flying planes like these."

Pros: "Beautiful new 787"
Cons: "Entertainment options could be more plentiful."

Pros: "The service"
Cons: "Nothing so far, thanks."

Cons: "Very long delay not fair to passengers"

Pros: "While I've ranked the crew as poor, that isn't a reflection of the entire crew. The flight crew and check-in team were fine, the boarding I have as mediocre due to delay, but I don't put that on the staff."
Cons: "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."

Cons: "Delayed flight"

Pros: "The flight was on time check in was simple and quick Staff on board friendly and professional Inflight movies fab Plenty of room on seats clean plane"
Cons: "Nothing all great"

Cons: "The airline crew keep on pushing back the departure due to bad weather. No discipline while boarding passengers. Delay after landing to open the door. No clear instructions about the delays"

Pros: "I am 6ft 1 / 185cm and the leg room was OK for an economy flight. Food was OK for airplane food. Staff were very friendly. Overall very happy."

Pros: "Great food and good space for economy"

Pros: "Clean, friendly crew remembered how we had our tea/coffee from the earlier service"
Cons: "Economy is never very comfortable but was better than a lot of other airlines"

Cons: "I wasn’t able to check in online and therefore wasn’t able to update with my dietary requirements which meant I couldn’t really eat anything that was given. I was told at the airport that it needs to be submitted 24 hrs before the flight and there was nothing they could do. Really unfair and not on."

Cons: "Flight was delayed My wife and I got separate seats Screen and audio on the entertainment system didn't work"

Cons: "Late flight the crew did.t care and many people missed connections. The customer service at the airport desk was understaffed slow and rude. They we're not helpful in trying to get new flights booked and I felt like it was asking a huge favor even though it was Thier delayed flight that made me miss my connection."

Pros: "Organised zones for boarding"
Cons: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."

Cons: "Our flight got cancelled in toronto Lester B Pearson Airport due to a snow storm and we were stuck in the airport for almost 24 hours and we werent even offered a hotel for the night. So we decided to book a hotel for the night through Kayak and paid over $200. Went to the hotel and were told there were no more rooms available until the next day. We called kayak customer support and they wouldn't refund our money!! Horrible experience never again! Never flying Air Canada again !!"

Pros: "Food was great"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "Will use again"
Cons: "Airline food has always been poor no matter which airline you travel. Be more liberal with the drinks trolley."

Pros: "Got there with minimal delays"
Cons: "Inattentive staff, broken tray table, seats not cleaned between flight ( covered in food crumbs), small seats"

Pros: "Ease of service and efficiency."

Pros: "its was smooth"

Pros: "I was reading so much about how cramped and uncomfortable the seats on Air Canadas 787's, but I don't think their product is any worse than most other economy class products out there."
Cons: "Their "continental breakfast" was a dry piece of banana bread and yoghurt. No jam, butter cheese or other spreads to compliment with your bread. Most disappointing "continental breakfast" I have had on a plane!"

Cons: "Very cramped like sardine tin. Not enough flight info boards in airport and they were hard to read m"

Pros: "Excellent value for Economy flight"

Pros: "on time"

Cons: "Horrible customer service from check in through to the flight attendants. Needed to download app on my phone for an international flight in order to watch movies. Was very unimpressed with the experience."

Pros: "The staff"
Cons: "No TV monitors and food was bad"

Pros: "Buying wine was a good idea. It's a good cure for frustrations."
Cons: "I had trouble checking in online AND printing boarding pass at kiosk. Plane left 45 minutes late. Boarding was chaotic. Headphones did not work with entertainment system. Drink order was incorrect... I just had to pretend I was on crappy public transport for two hours for a one hour journey. I laughed out loud when they announced on flight that Air Canada was voted best North American airline. Riiiiight."

Cons: "That there was no meal included. Only ordering extra through the cafe catalog"

Pros: "Everything. The plane was immaculate, the seats were comfortable, the food was delicious, the flight crew was friendly and professional. Air Canada's abillity to transit passengers from the US to international destinations is truly remarkable and must be best in class. I went from an inbound flight from Houston, through Immigration and to the gate for my flight to London in under 15 minutes!"
Cons: "Nothing."

Cons: "The prop aircraft that Air Canada uses for the YYC-YEG route are old and cramped. They do nothing for the Air Canada brand."

Pros: "Liked everything about this new class of service on Air Canada. Seat was comfortable with good recline that didn't interfere with fellow passengers. Food was excellent, entertainment system was well stocked, flight attendants were friendly and high energy. Even got to use lounge and fast-track security lane at Heathrow."
Cons: "Zero complaints."

Pros: "Clearing immigration in Vancouver is very convenient"
Cons: "Food choices are limited and expensive."
