Not what we paid forCons:Upon our Arabia’s after flying all day all we wanted to do was get the rental car we paid for and get to the hotel. When we got to the desk to pick up our car we were informed that our economy was ready. We paid for a convertible. I informed the man behind the desk that we had paid for a convertible and he ignored us all they had were two economy cars left. I asked for a price adjustment since we were not getting the car we paid for. Only to be told that they could not make any refunds. He then directed me to call a 1-800 number. When I reached someone they had no idea what I was talking about nor showed any reservations for us. Over all not the best experience after landing and all you want to do is get to the hotel. We were put into an economy car then had to drive all the way back the next day to swap it out.Reviewed 27 Oct. 2018

First time user, positive experiencePros:Full disclosure, I did agree to a last-minute SUV upgrade which I never do, but it put us in a brand new Toyota 4Runner, just over 700 miles -- and it was a time when San Diego had a massive rain storm hit so it came in handy for visibility, handling. Prices were reasonable, pickup was good, but the signs at this location were a little small and not in plain view like the big car rental companies. Agent was fast and pleasant to deal with, ran through the typical offers of extra insurance, gas fill dropoff, etc. Directed us to upper-level garage. Finally found the pickup booth, handed confirmation papers then walked a ways down to do the initial damage inspection. Walked back up to booth, finalized paperwork, got the keys and we were off. SUV was nice overall, no smoke smell, etc. It wasn't spotless inside or out but it wasn't anything that would be noticeable to most non-Type A folks. Good space, backup camera was used extensively. Drop off was much better, good signs. Pulled right up, unpacked while agent reviewed mileage and confirmed gas gauge was full, very quick and no issues.Cons:SUV was backed into parking spot in a packed garage so we had to pull it out to pack our bags into the trunk. It was also at the far end of the garage so I had to walk down there to do the pre-review damage assessment leaving my family to wait by the booth. Of course, both issues may be our fault for the last-minute upgrade so it wasn't a big deal.Reviewed 27 Feb. 2017

Cons:Poor service. Rude customer service. Car unavailability, requested a full size car, ended up driving a minivan. Then they tried to upgrade me into a minivan when paying knowing that they were the only options on the lot after we paid. Made it very challenging to get an exchange the next day. If you want to pay less for an older car, with tons of mileage, don't care if the reservation is available for you at the time of pick up, and like to deal in a bunch of teens that are more rude than helpful- this is your rental company!Reviewed 27 Nov. 2016

SMELLY GARBAGE can in the back of the rental carPros:The girl on the second floor who got us our car. Very personable and friendly and professional.Cons:Advantage had left a very smelly dirty garbage can in the pack of the minivan we rented. We didn't look in the trunk before we left and heard some rattling around. When we stopped at our destination, we looked and saw the can. Over the course of the day, it really smelled up the inside of the car. I also didn't like the receptionist girl's question to me when I was at the front of the line "Are you ready?" she asked. This was after they had both been on the phone and she had helped the person ahead of me (only two of us in line) and asked him the same question. Terrible Rental Car CompanyPros:Nothing! Service was mediocre at best. Selection of cars was poor. Condition of car was poor. Upsell on insurance was pushy and winshield cost mentioned several times (our windshield had a large chip in the drivers view). Customer service did not answer one time over several days, no one to check us in upon return - only one person in the onsite office.Cons:Everything! See above.Reviewed 9 Oct. 2016

definitely a bargain brandPros:the price!Cons:The front desk was closed at 10:30 pm with no sign and or notice of where to find employees. Finally found them at the actual pick up kiosk. The car had a super smudged windshield with some cleaner, because a simple wipe didn't do it. It was super annoying driving the car like that. The glove compartment was also busted, which I didn't see at first in the dark. Definitely renting form a bargain retailer.Reviewed 3 Nov. 2016

MehPros:The price.Cons:Car had mechanical issues, brakes squealed like a banshee, mechanical light came on. Not a big deal. What bothered me the most was the drop off. Seemed like it went well, knew my name from scanning the car in, said receipt would be emailed to me. Never asked about receipt for gas...check the email receipt while waiting for flight and they decide to charge for fueling the car at $9.00 a gallon (over $100 extra) even though it was filled up. Able to resolve it, but it should never have happened in the first place.Reviewed 2 Jun. 2018

Car was good but customer service was notPros:The car was clean and nice and drove wellCons:The customer service at the drop-off location was pretty bad. They made my husband dig through everything to find the contract because they couldn't just pull it up in the system. She didn't tell us which shuttle went to LAX and there was another couple with us there unloading their car and they actually had to ask her. She was not friendly and seemed like we were annoying her. When my husband went in to close out everything he said she didn't explain things clearly that would be on the bill and was being very rude. This is not how you want to end your trip, being treated bad, so we will not be renting from them again .Reviewed 21 Dec. 2016

Pros:online booking they gave me my money back for the rental. I promptly rented from another company.Cons:car was terrible. locked up and could not get into it. called the company and they said I had checked the box that said I did not want roadside assistance. did not know I had done so. they were of know assistance on what to do. the car finally let me in and I as I was driving back to return it, the tire light came on. this was the worse rental I have ever had!Reviewed 20 Aug. 2016

I got a car that was smaller than what I had reserved and I ended up having to run two trips to the airport and back in order to accommodate everyone.
