Pros:The price per day for the car and unlimited miles were great. Easy pick up and drop off.
Cons:Kayak offered insurance through a third party company on the reservation checkout. Then when I went to Advantage to get the car they told me they do not accept third party insurance. Then the really salesy man coerced me into getting their insurance even though I had my own through Geico. Then his careful sneaky words in conversation were: Me: how much is insurance through you? Him: $23 Me: oh wow, that's it? That is great. Him: I know, right?! Then he prints up contract and I notice it is that much per day! Sneaky sneaky snake

Pros:Staff when picking and dropping off were very helpful and polite. My company typically rents through another rental company. But I’m more likely to rent from Advantage in the future because of the customer service I got during this last experience.

Cons:Very slow service when picking up the car and was charged an additional hour when I dropped the car off 5 minutes late - unlike other brands they do not have a grace period. The rates on the agreement and what showed up on Kayak also may not have been the same.....

Pros:The car was great.
Cons:The service attendant told us that gas would be $2.39/gallon and we were charged $8.99/gallon. Had we known we would’ve just filled up before dropping off. Very disappointed in the cost and service level.

Cons:There was no one at the counter when I arrived and the phone numbered given was no longer in service. That made me very leery and concerned. Even the 800 number said “we are not taking calls”, send us an email. After waiting over 25 minutes an agent arrived, but during the check in process he was very short and eventually became very, very rude. To the point that I walked away and rented else where. His name was AJ. It seems this company may be going out of business as while waiting I called Two other locations and their numbers were also not working. To bad because they used to be good with happier employees.

Cons:The employee immediately asked me if I wanted to upgrade to an SUV, not mentioning the increased cost. I confirmed that I would have to pay for the upgrade, the employee said yes, so I said I was not interested. She then let me know that I would be getting an upgrade to an SUV because that was all they had available. They were trying to get me to pay for an upgrade that they KNEW I would be getting anyways. I found this and the general rude treatment from two separate employees (one at pick up, one at drop off) to be unacceptable.

Cons:It was not on-site at the airport. Had to wait :30 for the bus to take us to the rental place. And then had to wait over two hours before the car was ready. The check engine light was on in the car we rented—car had over 40K miles on it, and clearly had been in a bunch of minor accidents—scratches and dings all over the car. We paid up to get a nicer our car, our friends who were also on the trip with us went with a major car rental place, actually got a much nicer car and paid less then us. I will definitely not use Kayak to book car rentals in the future.

Cons:Very unprofessional customer service. No manager on duty at least not that I could see. There was one employee serving customers walking them personally down to the garage one at a time making all the customers wait upstairs. Other employees could be heard in the back office horsing around rather than attending to customers. The policy to rent a car it’s time consuming and pointless; they asked me to look up an electrical bill to prove thatMy ID matched the address. Hotwire told me in my confirmation that I had unlimited miles, but the sales customer service representative told me that I only had 150 miles a day.
