Cons:Communication. My rental was scheduled for 3pm pickup and I called at 2pm to see if I could pickup early but the lady that answered the phone said no it won’t be ready until 3pm. I get there at 3pm and she’s tells me she don’t have a van available for me and that she might have 1 the next day. Other company’s try and figure that stuff out before the pickup. Also they call if they think they might have a problem not wait til the costumer gets there and then tell them they have to Van available. And then I had to ask if I can get the minivan at least cause it’s there. They when we said we called at 2pm to confirm and talked to her she said No that wasn't me not sure who it was you spoke to.

Cons:Within 20 minutes (or less) of picking up our van the back tire went flat. Clearly it was going flat when we got the van. We called AVR and they said they would be sending roadside assistance right away. We waited 2 hours, and a man with two kids and a dog in his vehicle showed up (not that this necessarily bothered us, just kind of strange). He put the small, temporary spare on and said nothing more. We were on a busy conference schedule, so the next day we called AVR to ask how we were to drive around Chicago for 3 days on a spare only good for 35 miles. We were then told that we were responsible to find a certified Dodge dealer, have the tire replaced, and pay for it! We did not do this, as our 3 day trip to Chicago was to attend classes, not maintain their vehicle. When we returned the van with no time to spare before catching our flight, we were told that we needed to come inside to fill out claim paperwork for our insurance/our responsibility to pay for the new tire. When we said we didn't have time to do this, the manager snapped back that he would just report that we REFUSED to complete the paperwork. We didn't refuse to do anything, and were concerned what this would result in if we were to just leave for our flight. After expressing this concern to another employee, we were finally given the paperwork to take with us and send back, but are still being held responsible for the cost of a tire that went flat within minutes of picking the van up. Never again.

Pros:leaving and going to Avis
Cons:The agents were rude, uninformed, inexperienced and incapable of doing their job The pick up location was at the end of a dirt road in a trailer with no signage and not at the address shown on the reservation They couldn't find my reservation and when I gave them my print out they argued that it was not what they can offer They didnt have the vehicle I reserved and then tried to tell me what they had was good enough I was at their building for an hour and fifteen minutes after calling and attempting to find their location for 30 minutes I walked out and drove to Avis - had my car and was on the road in 17 total minutes - worst experience ever

Pros:Read alot of the reviews and was hesitant to rent from here, however had a surprisingly fantastic experience. The young lady at the counter was phenomenal in walking me through the rental process and did not make me feel unwelcome after I kept asking questions. The young lady was generous enough to loan me a stool to help with my mother to get in/out of the car at no charge. Additionally there was a fine young gentlemen upon returning the vehicle who was kind enough to drop me back to the airport terminal, he was a pleasure to speak with.
Cons:Upon arriving at their designated spot for shuttle pickup after disembarking from the air train, I attempted to call the rental company from the provided shuttle phone to no avail. I had to call three times in order to get someone on the phone, but once I did they were extremely nice in arranging pickup.

Pros:I ended up canceling the reservation the day I was to pick up the car and ended up using another company. The number given in the confirmation email to call once you land for shuttle service to pick up the car was no longer in service so I googled for a different number. That brought you to an automatic messaging instructing you to call the same number to arrange airport pick up. After about an hour of waiting unsure of whether or not any shuttle was coming I received a text saying someone would be by in about another hour to pick us up. By that point i had already canceled the reservation and booked with Avis and picked the car up at the airport, no shuttle necessary.

Pros:Never got the Van. Location closed at 6:00 pm unlike the national companies which are open until the last flight arrives. Just like another responder I see, the # on my rental agreement was in California and when I finally got someone to answer I was given a local number which did not answer and then it was 6:00 and they were closed. When I called Airport Van Rentals the next day to ask for a waiver on the "no Show " fee of $40.00 I was told to contact KAYAK, who told me to contacat Both told me to contact Airport Van Rentals which has not returned 5 or mor calls. I will never use the or KYAK again.

Pros:Well initially I like that the process of making the reservation Seemed to be quick and pretty effortless but.... as stated above I Never even got my rental vehicle
Cons:That when I attempted to reach the rental company (five times to ask questions) no one ever answered the phone. when we arrived to LAX the shuttle that was to take us to the rental company wasn't even running. Plus they Still wouldn't answer the phone. We ended up contacting another rental company ourselves last minute and having a phenomenal experience. However, when we finally did get a hold of someone in the middle of our trip they said they had no record of our reservation though i provided a confirmation number. on top of everything a $43 insurance charge was taken though once again...I NEVER EVEN GOT MY RENTAL VEHICLE

Cons:The van was not a newer van it had 73k miles and the tires were scalloped so at highway speeds we were in a cement shaker. We called about 45 mins out for a trade and they declined to meet us. Anytime we called for pickup it required multiple attempts to reach someone and even though we gave an hour notice when we were returning the attendant was not at the office and we waited 10 mins for him because he did not receive the Multiple calls of our arrival It was useable van but a mediocre experience on all fronts but it was cheaper by $100 I would get a nicer van and pay the $100 more
