I did NOT rent a car that was off site! The listing clearly said “In Terminal” while others said “Shuttle.” I chose it specifically for that reason. Then when I got to the Avis counter they had no reservation for me and I ended up having to spend $147/day for a last minute rental. I never received an email from Kayak with my reservation either. I am disputing the charge. I have been pleased with Kayak before and used them many times but this was not a good experience at all and I feel very ripped off.Reviewed 13 Sep. 2023

Our experience was absolutely awful. Pickup was an absolute mess, and getting a shuttle to the area (we were told we would get one) took multiple calls to actually come pick us up. They dropped me off at the wrong spot and I had to walk. The car itself was fine, ran good, and was clean. Drop off was also a wreck. The gate of AVS was locked so I couldn’t take the car back to where I picked it up. They wanted me to drop it off in a parking lot at the airport. The provided address sent me on a hour long goose chase. I almost missed my flight. I never found the parking lot and ended up having to leave it somewhere else. Overall the customer service at this establishment is GARBAGE.Reviewed 26 Jun. 2023

Customer service almost did not exist. As I was ready to go pick up my Van they told me they don’t have it available. No alternative was offered. I was left with nothing still fighting for my refundReviewed 24 Apr. 2023

Airport Van Rental is NOT located at the DFW rental car center as you will be lead to believe! It is not obvious anywhere. You cannot take the rental car shuttle to get to them. You must call them and arrange for a pickup that takes forever. When returning vehicle after hours, we were instructed to just park their car at the rental car center and to leave key behind fuel door. The rental car center has listed everywhere that parking is limited to 2 hours or the vehicle will get towed, so this method of return just seems sketchy. Van was older than what you would expect from a rental, with 98,000 miles on it. Staff are very friendly. Overall, the hassle was not worth the few dollars saved.Reviewed 9 Apr. 2023

At first we were going to ger a van that wasn’t even cleaned. As we proceeded my total wasn’t matching her break down and then we get told we can’t use tolls?Reviewed 12 Jan. 2023

I liked the attendant at the Dallas location she was pleasant. When my rental car( Dodge Durango) had low coolant and was over heating AVR replaced it after I spent 3 hours of my vacation time asking them to. The replacement was a 2008 Kia Sedona that looked like it’s been through the ringer. It was not vacuumed and the seats looked like the car was driven by a mechanic. the seats were all stained. I will not recommend AVR to anyone that needs a reliable clean vehicle.Reviewed 29 Sep. 2022

Value was good, but van was older and the Check Engine light came on halfway thru my rental. Nothing functionally wrong with the van, just an older model with 72k miles on it.Reviewed 24 Sep. 2022

I waited 2 hrs for the airport pick up, finally gave up and took UBER to AVR. When I got there I was informed that there would be a late penalty because I wasn't there 2 hours ago. Then they said they had no van available for me. I was stranded 2 miles from the airport in a run down industrial park. I will NEVER rent from AVR again and will be very suspicious of KAYAK for associating with them!!Reviewed 18 Mar. 2022

No van to be had at all when I arrived to pick up. “Oh, you booked through Priceline” they said. Also went on to mention the commercial insurance I would need if they did have a van while I looked for other options.Reviewed 16 Mar. 2022
