Pros: The breakfast was delicious and there was a huge variety of food to select from. The staff were very friendly and attentive - they looked after our every need. We loved the location being in the busy, lively Old Quarter but only because we could retreat to the tranquility of the hotel. Our room was extremely quiet and our bed very comfortable. We would highly recommend this accomodation.

Pros: We had such a fantastic stay the staff are the best I’ve ever come across on my travels they are so accommodating and truely looked after us. Nothing was a trouble for them. They helped us book tours and ensured we were 100% happy. Front desk were amazing and their Batman dipper and bar made incredible cocktails and made our stay a memorable one.the room were well presented, the beds were comfortable and the room was really quiet.

Pros: Location was excellent, right in the middle of the Old Quarter hustle and bustle, close to the beer street but nestled in a quiet side street. Room was clean and well pointed. Standout was staff at the hotel. They were super friendly and went to great lengths to ensure a memorable stay, which we had. Overall, we received a very personal service from just about every member of staff from the folk manning the entrance (once when we ordered a Grab ride, he called the Grab driver and led us to the pick up point which we had incorrectly put in) to the front desk and restaurant staff. In particular, Scarlett really went beyond expectations. She not only provided excellent recommendations for sights and places to eat, but she also put some context to each advice such as wearing hat/sunscreen for outdoor/sunny tours and when to avoid bad traffic during attraction visits. She set up a watsapp chat that allowed us to get information easily, which was very helpful. We received advise and input from Scarlett even when she was off duty, which exemplifies the work ethic we observed. For example, when she was off duty, i mentioned that there an aircon leak and she had already called the front desk to get it sorted when i went down to report the issue. The leaking aircon arose because of some repairs needed at the nearby sauna. It was not very inconvenient, but the hotel was very gracious in charging only half the room rate for the day that the repairs occurred. This gesture, though not necessary, was very much appreciated. There is so much to do and enjoy in Hanoi, but our stay at the La Siesta Hotel and Spa made our holiday truly memorable.

Pros: Above all, the staff led by Alice is uniformly terrific! They bent over backward to accommodate us and could not have been more helpful, including moving our luggage to another hotel we had booked earlier in Hanoi and helping us with difficult travel arrangements for Ninh Binh. They are attentive to everyone and make you feel extremely welcomed. Breakfast is excellent and there is a Happy Hour daily at the bar.

Pros: We loved our room and the bed was really comfortable. The evening meal was superb including the wine. The breakfast has made to order food as well as a fantastic buffet. I love the home made yogurt and selection of fresh fruit. The pancakes with cooked fruit were good too. I appreciate the complimentary bottles of water are bigger than some hotels provide and the water in the minibar is a reasonable price.

Pros: The room and restaurant were top notch but what made La Siesta stands out was its staff. We had trouble with a tour booking (separate from the hotel) and they helped us call repeatedly to negotiate pick up times and payment. They took care of our luggage in switching to a different hotel after the tour too. It made travel easy and they treated us like family. Had we known, we would never have changed our hotel when we're came back to hanoi. Hands down, would recommend as a first pick.

Pros: We travel extensively and, without doubt, this was the best customer service we have encountered. From arrivals to departure the staff were enthusiastic, warm and genuine. We arrived to welcoming, smiling staff, cold towels, cool drinks and refreshments. On our day of departure the children all received beautiful gifts and our lead point of contact in the hotel (wonderful girl - give her a pay rise!) gave us free vouchers for a massage at their sister hotel in Hoi An. The breakfast was in a beautiful setting, great service and some fantastic food options (I thoroughly recommend the Eggs Benedict). Nothing is too much trouble. If anything is even slightly below par the team will be straight on it. The sky-top bar yields fabulous views and we enjoyed drinks there with some fabulous classical entertainment. Rooms are very elegant, with some nice decorative features. Good, strong showers. Refreshed fruit every day. Our balconies were narrow but nice to sit out if we wanted. Location is perfect - old quarter and straight into the culture and vibrancy of Hanoi. We would definitely return. Thank-you so much for having us x

Cons: The rooms are small and the bathroom is very small with dim lighting which is difficult when applying makeup. We mentioned that to them during checkout and they apologized profusely and made a note to get that fixed in the future.

From the welcome refreshment drinks and fruit, the very very helpful and kind front desk, to the yummy morning breakfast buffet, you really don’t need to look any further. It’s in an alley right off a busy street. Extra bonus, there’s a morning/afternoon market down the alley, a temple right across the hotel, fresh beer every evening also just down the alley, and the best Bun Cha right around the corner. Special shout out to Jasmine. She answered all my emails promptly and professionally before we arrived and took such good care of us while there. Thank you!!

Pros: We've stayed in this super cute hotel for 4 nights. It is in a strategic position in the center of the old quarter, just 5 min walk from the Hoan Kiem Lake, but in a quite side lane. The rooms were a bit small, but super clean and had everything you might need! The absolute best part of this hotel is his staff. You will find super prepared, nice and helpful young receptionists, always ready to help you. They provided a 5 star service. While we were doing our tours in Sapa and Halong Bay, they kept our luggages without extra charges. Before departing for Sapa they also provided us a private bathroom to let us take a fast shower. Whenever we went back to this hotel we felt like coming back home. So thank you La Storia Ruby Hotel for making our stay in Vietnam even better. A huge hug to Tom and Tracy, our favorites. Chiara

Pros: The staff were so friendly, polite, honest and attentive. They helped us constantly and throughout although we had come to vietnam with everything already booked, they helped us plenty with great local advice and suggestions. The breakfast was incredible and ample. Both days we had so much breakfast we didn’t even have to stop for lunch. We arrived after some hard trekking in Sapa, where it had rained non stop. All our clothes were dirty, wet and muddy. They managed to have it clean by the evening. Tommy, Jasmine and Tracy were absolutely wonderful and proved to be absolutely trust worthy. We were considering hiring a private tour to go see a far off mountain with amazing views and they alerted us that it was not worth it because that mountain had been closed down by local authorities because of a recent fire. Throughout my stay in Vietnam I had their contact card in my wallet, because I knew that they would be able to help out if anything happened to us. They even provided us with their personal whatsapp numbers should we need absolutely anything at any time. Amazing

Pros: This is the perfect hotel! The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and the beds super confortable. We have stayed at this hotel several times and it never fails. The breakfast in the rooftop restuarant caters for both western and Asian tastes and is high quality. Dining in the restuarant is also a treat. The hotel is in a great spot. In the heart of Ancient town and walking distance to all the attractions. This trip we had a late flight back to Australia and we offered showers hors after we had checked out.

Pros: The hotel is very charming, comfortable and with a very nice ambiance. Staff are able to speak many languages and always able to guide us through the gigantic place. Location as well is perfect. Between the Opera and the lake hence almost everything was in walking distance. Breakfast was also great with plenty of option of very fresh. Massage from the Spa was one of the best I got in Vietnam (~5-6) with finally a foot bath that many don't offer.

Cons: The coffee at breakfast was somehow either too light or too strong. The hotel is so huge that we got lost hence, signage would have been welcome. If we want to nitpick about (a little), swimming pool is a bit small and there is a smell of old furniture...

Cons: The hotel is advertised as being the oldest and fanciest hotel in Hanoi. We splurged and booked a room for one night with a small child. When we arrived, we were told that we would not have a room in the original hotel but would be given a room in the new addition. We needed to pay an extra 60 dollars to stay in the original section. They should make this policy clear to potential guests. We also requested a rollaway bed and they stuck it in the very tight living room, which was about 5 ft wide. The staff at the pool restaurant got our orders wrong--forgot my sons drink, and brought my husband the wrong beer

Cons: I've been spoilt by having amazing breakfasts at other hotels in Vietnam. There was nothing particularly bad about breakfast here, but it also lacked local Vietnamese options/flair. Vietnam is associated with amazing food, but breakfast here was just OK. Air conditioner condensate pipe got blocked and started spraying water into the room late at night. Had to call front desk to have it resolved. Usually caused by maintenance issues with them not being cleaned regularly enough. On the plus side this was resolved quickly by front desk staff with a screw driver and magic straw. I guess this happens pretty regularly. Minibar lacking price list, or indication that the items had to be paid for. We didn't consume any of them, so not a real issue. Likely just our room and price list got misplaced.

Cons: Although the entire old quarter area is bustling and loud, there are two bars directly across the narrow street from the window our room faced. The noise on the weekend did not quiet down until after midnight.
There was also a minor issue with the hot water not getting very hot, and although the staff was apologetic, they could not remedy this issue before we checked out.

Cons: So much to tell unfortunately : The hotel is under renovation; not only itself but there is also a construction site just in front so that the view is very lamentable. My partner being pregnant,we asked for another room (as we were placed in front of the construction site) and the answer was that we could be relocated at the upper floor or need to pay an extra (construction started at 9 A.M. and could be heard in the whole hotel... very annoying during our breakfast). Hence staff was not very helpful. They provided only one key during the check-in and the key is mandatory for the air-con. Therefore each time we came to our room it was very warm and... smelly (humidity smell) Staff were also fixing the lift (one to reach the amenities), the swimming pool and one camera in the lift was completely broken with pieces on the floor. Hence, the overall impression after one hour was that the finish is so poor. I felt that even some staff were a bit embarrassed about the current conditions (on the rooftop especially) In conclusion, surely one of the most disappointing experience and 5 stars hotel I've been. Such a pity!

Cons: We were given a room facing the front main road. It is very noisy because the motorist in Hanoi just loved to horn for almost every thing. Couldn't sleep on the first night. I realised that the windows of this room were a single 5mm glass panel. The next day upon my complaint to the front desk, we were upgraded to a deluxe room facing the back . This room was very much quieter and we had sound, good quality sleep for the rest of the stay. I would request the management to upgrade their rooms facing the front ti a double glazed sound proof windows and thicker curtains. Other than that, it is a lovely place to stay

Cons: The neighbour (unrelated to my stay) had a loud voice on the phone, the sound proofing of the suite door between his room and mine wasn't good enough. The hotel should make sure that if 'half suite' rooms are given to guests, the sound proofing of the separating door are the same as that of a solid wall.

Cons: Unfortunately, I made an error in booking 1 night instead of an intended 2, and did not see my error until I arrived. Unfortunately, the hotel was not able to accommodate me the next day. My interaction with the desk clerk was not entirely satisfactory; I could not get are very good sense of my chances to continue for the additional night. In the event, I decided to find alternative arrangements on my own withing 30 minutes of hitting my room. I think a full service hotel like this might have offered to help in getting an alternative booking. I know Hanoi well, and the hotels on offer here. For 1/3 of the price one can get a bigger room, just as clean, with more personalized service, and a fine location. The gym here is not opened 24/7; that would have helped me in the circumstances having checked in 21:30 (they did hold my room, as I would expect) and having to leave for work early (7:45). No real blame to be placed here, except on me for my error. I just left feeling that the value for the money was not there, and probably would not have felt so even if I had booked as intended for the 2 nights. I note that other western chain hotels give better value for money, in the region, as well.

Cons: To be honest i did not liked anything about the hotel, except the location. It was my worst stays till yet. Me n my partner are business travellers and have stayed in almost all good brands for 5stars and 7stars in many countries. Truly this Hilton Hanoi is by far the worst. Firstly, when we reached no bell boy came to receive, so we had to carry our luggage ourselves. Staff at reception was very blunt. Vietnam hotels and people are known for their wonderful hospitality. Hilton did not offer any. Our stay was much better last time when we stayed in boutique 4 star hotels in Hanoi. They offered such a warm welcome and full attention and i was truly amazed by the hospitality. During checkout when we mentioned all this as a feedback, still no bellboy came to get the luggage and escort us to the car. Secondly, rooms were old and even the dustbins were in poor condition. Carpets damp. Thirdly, last room dining can be ordered till 10pm which is not expected in such brands. 5 star hotels maintain some standards which Hilton Hanoi did not. Worst services n much worse the hospitality.

David, the Duty Manager is every so helpful and whats more he had passed on every little instruction to the day clerk so I didnt have to repeat it allover again. Will go there again if I visit Hanoi

Cons: I had specifically asked for a quiet room as I am a light sleeper. However, the hotel is extremely noisy with thin, badly insulated walls and doors. My room was next to the elevator and I had to listen to the constant "ping" of the elevator arriving. Worse was the very noisy party that went on next to my room until 2:30 am with the staff making no effort to stop it. I had booked for 2 nights but checked out after one night because of this.

Cons: Surprisingly very disappointed. From the moment we checked in to the moment the driver which was instructed numerous times on which terminal to go to still dropped us at the wrong one. Very unhelpful. Staff not accommodating at all. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here for the price you pay and the lack of service you receive, in comparison to other hotels with the same number of stars. In addition the plumbing in our bathroom was extremely poor.

Cons: I read that they had fitness lockers, and I was under the assumption that there was a gym and/or a pool due to the fact that it had spa in the hotel title. This is not the case. Whilst it is my own fault for not enquiring, I just want to make people aware! The closest gym and pool we found was at the army hotel (about a 20 minute walk) and it cost 200 k dong a day each! Additionally if you end up in a room like we did which has a connecting door to another room, it can be very noisy as it’s not a thick or well sound proofed door! I was hoping that going for a more expensive boutique hotel would mean it would be a bit quieter but this was not the case!

The hotel was walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake, and lots of exciting things in the area.
Cons: The hallways didn't seem to live up to 5 star status. The carpet seemed old, and there were lots of scrapes and marks on the walls. There were like 8 million light switches in the room, and it was a bit confusing to figure out which ones did what. The toilet flushing was a little fickle. In the description, it said the room would have a courtyard or city view. I e-mailed to ask for a city view, and got a response saying they would get us one. However, when we arrived it was a courtyard view. I'm sure the buffet breakfast was excellent, but $20 per person seemed a bit steep. It'd be nice if they offered some kind of complimentary meal. This was a really nice place, but maybe didn't quite live up to our expectation of what a 5 star hotel would be.

Pros: Nice hotel and very comfortable beds. Staff is friendly. Our first room smelled like a smoking room and we were able to change without any issue. Breakfast is good for the price (USd 25 for a couple, but think was a promotion). Pool is small but ok, fitness basic. Maintenance is ok but could be better.

Pros: I thought the location was amazing !!! The look of the hotel is beautiful and the service was superb, really friendly, professional and helpful. I also met the Manager a Frenchman called Adrien when I checked in who was really helpful and polite which set the tone for a nice stay. The initial design of the decor was also very good and I liked the design of the lobby bar.
Cons: It was rather hot, there seemed to be some problem with the AC units so they were using lots of electric fans which is not what you expect from an Accor M Gallery (I am a platinum member). I also felt that the property could do with some investment in the facilities as it is looking a little tired around the edges.

Pros: Loved the room and the facilities. Breakfast was nice and the location the hotel is great! The room is very impressive and we loved the facilities in the room. I purchased a sim card (10GB data per day apparently, which I didn't believe) from the concierge for approx 14 EUR. The data on the card lasted my full 3 week stay in Vietnam! Thank you to the super concierge!
Cons: The bed was really soft and I developed back-ache. We asked for a late check-out, but unfortunately the hotel could not accommodate us with this even though we had booked 2 rooms. Irrespective, they made the spa facilities available to us to shower and freshen up before departure.

Would stay here again without doubt .. good breakfast selection and worth getting up early for ! Would recommend staying here as it has the personal touch not found with some of the bigger places .. big thanks to all the staff for making our stay a great experience .

Cons: The breakfast was poor. There was very little variety and as a result we ate breakfast elsewhere nearly everyday. The breakfast timings are poor too. Breakfast runs from 6am to 9am. The room was small, despite being a suite. The furnishings were dated and the room was quite dirty. The room was also damp.

Another issue was that the housekeeping staff left 2 times the balcony door unlocked which is not nice considering I extra told them to lock after cleaning as it was a shared balcony.
