Pros:Everyone was helpful and service was expedient.Cons:Sirius radio didn't work for a few hours and only after 2 phone calls, but I understand this is a glitch out of the rental company's control.Reviewed 2 Jun. 2020

Pros:The gal that helped me initially was very nice and helpful.Cons:We waited about 40 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport to take us to rental office. I tried calling to let someone know we were waiting but there was no direct number to the office. I called the customer service line which was an 800 number and the only one I found listed. No one could help me. When I went to drop the car off on my way out of Denver the office was closed. It was 7:45 am. I had no one to leave the car with and no shuttle to get from the rental lot to the airport terminal. I again tried to get someone on the phone to tell me what to do with the car. I literally had to leave it on the side of the road with the keys in it because the thrifty lot had vans parked in the driveway so I couldn’t get the car through. I travel a lot and this was the most stressful and unorganized car rental I’ve ever dealt with. Never again!Reviewed 29 Jun. 2020

Pros:Everything was smoothe and easy. Even the pick up line (which is normal for Denver) went fairly quickly.Reviewed 26 Sep. 2020

Cons:Check-in was terrible taking almost 30 minutes standing there talking with the rep. It was very confusing and she upgraded me having me think it was free but price went from $260 to $500 + and too many add on's to the price. I felt very uncomfortable and feel this should be done online. The price given on-line was not correct and I felt like I was being ripped off the entire conversation. Something needs to be changed. So many people were waiting behind me and behind others that were taking just as long.Reviewed 1 Nov. 2020

Watch Out for hiddenPros:bus driver from airport to car rental was very knowledgable and helpful.Cons:They tried to add on costs without telling you up front that it costs more. $75 for tolls if you want to use the toll road for a 1/4 around Denver (20 mins more to drive into town and up the free interstate). At the very end, he asked if we wanted to add another driver to the account. Never stated it would cost more and then put that receipt behind all the others he ran. When we returned the car, we noticed the second driver charge. We asked to speak to a manager who was not helpful and when we asked for his name, he ran into the back room. We are challenging this with our credit card and with Thrifty. We will never use Thrifty again.Reviewed 9 Jun. 2016

Precisely ThriftyPros:Easy booking though kayak.com! They have friendly around the clock staff and clean vehicles. Worth every bit of the 5 minutes it took me to reserve a car after my flight. Reservations/pickups can be made based on the 1 hour mark of the day.Cons:After swiping my credit card, they said it was declined. I wondered why? I used another card. The total agreement was $69 and I thought that was what they were going to charge me. After getting the vehicle and on into the trip, I got an email stating that my American Express was declined for a transaction in the amount of $350.00. Upon returning the car, the representative said the $350 was just a all amount for the covering of the car. I didn't ask her anything else and it was not a problem. It was just odd. They should charge what was quoted.Reviewed 24 Jan. 2017

Pick up process is a joke-- Seinfeld episodePros:3 people behind counter who kept pushing use of 2 video conference check in kiosks...15 people in line. 2 video system didn't appear to work because it took 5+ minutes for a rep to answer. Once they did answer, they went through everything I entered when I reserved car. She tried to resell all the insurance again. Another 5 -10 minute process that should have taken 2. When I finally got the car, there was an 8 car queue to get out due to process. This would have been unacceptable in 1960, let alone 2017.absolutely brutal...please forward to executive management and force them to go through it personally.Reviewed 1 Mar. 2017

Confusing ProcessPros:Navigating Kayak to view rental car options and prices was very easy. The car options at Thrifty were great and we had no trouble with the Hyundai Sonata.Cons:We booked the car online for $44 including insurance for one day. When we arrived at Thrifty, they said it would be two days, and that there was an additional insurance package we needed in addition to what we bought online. Then, they recommended an upgrade because the economy car would struggle with the altitude, so we sized up for $10 (not a big deal). It was very confusing because they don't show you a computer screen or any visual material, so you don't know what they're charging you for and the barrage of numbers and additional charges are hard to follow. Ultimately, what was supposed to be $44 ended up being $198, which was a shock. Thrifty could improve the way they interact with customers so it's easier for them to follow and know what they're buying. Also, it would be helpful if the prices online reflected the prices in person. We would not have rented a car if we knew it would end up being so expensive, but the car itself was wonderful.Reviewed 27 Mar. 2017

Pros:Nothing, didn’t end up renting a car that day.Cons:The line during my time at the rental agency extended out the door and it seemed like the staff was being stretched very thin. People had been waiting up to three hours for a car and it felt like there was no manager or employee to handle crisis management and address everyone waiting.Reviewed 29 Mar. 2021
