We had to wait 30 minutes past the departure time for a bus to get to the plane, only to sit and wait on the plane for 1.5 hours for a fuel truck to come.
Pros: "Seats were comfortable. The food was very good. We pre-ordered a cheese plate and a wrap. A few weeks before our trip, Alaska Air changed the flight times, and we decided the connection time was too tight and so changed to a later connection. The agent we talked to about the change was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a good airline, typically rated as the best or second-best of the US airlines. As far as we can tell, its high rating is accurate."
Cons: "We originally had chosen our flight from Boston to Seattle to connect with our flight from Seattle to Sitka with an hour and ten minutes between them. However, Alaska Air changed the schedules of both flights, leaving only 45 minutes between flights. That is barely enough time to connect (the flights left from different terminals) if there are no delays. We thus had to change our plans not long before our departure to another flight to Sitka that left 5 hours later, forcing us to kill a lot of time in the boring Seatac airport. Apparently Alaska Air is notorious for changing its flight schedules. Travelers should keep that in mind when arranging flights and try to choose first flights that arrive soon enough that several alternative connecting flights are possible if Alaska Air changes the flight times."

MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"
Cons: "The plane was half way full, i had the seat in the economy section same like a big guy, at one point i asked the flight attendant if i can change my seat to another economy seat (I didn't want a free upgrade) because the guy in my right could fit in his seat with the arm rest down and it was getting uncomfortable for me. She told me if i want a upgrade, witch I refuse to get and didn't help me in any way with the problem that i had. I think for cases like this even though it's an economy seat it still cost 750$ and for a 9h flight witch transformed in a 14h flight because weather condition and fueling problems, flight attendants should be more mindful with the guest confort rather than upselling. Lufthansa it's a geat company with great airplanes but i think that in order to get people to come back you should treat people in the economy class like normal people that pay a price nothing close to the word economy"

Last but not least, my parties baggage was not transferred during our quick layover from Frankfurt to Krakow. Priority should be given to passengers whose final destination is not Frankfurt. We found out that our luggage's remained in Frankfurt when our names were called by baggage pickup in Krakow. The attendant who was helping us was very cold and treated us as of we were the ones who caused this inconvenience through his tone of voice, as well as his short comments. Lufthansa needs to work on their customer service in Krakow. We were rushed by the agent and it seemed like he wanted to get rid of us asap even though there was no line. We needed to understand where our baggage was and the options available to us, especially because our baggage was carrying important items for my sister in laws bacholerette party that night. We left not knowing when we were going to receive our luggage or if it would even make it to Krakow that night. We called the Number provided to us several times during the Day, however the line did not seem to be actively monitored by an individual. The website we were provided to track our luggage offered little to no insight on the whereabouts of our luggage. We finally found out that the luggage had arrived in Krakow and would be sent by carrier. The carrier arrived late in the evening, right before we were leaving for the bachelorette party thankfully. Better communication in these types of situations would greatly alleviate the stress one feels when their luggage is missing. Aldo surprised that the airline doesn't distribute a care package (I.e. toothbrush, paste, facewash) to passengers whose luggage was left behind."

Pros: "It is always an adventure flying into Lethbridge....maybe I should leave it at that. The crew both inside the terminal and on the flight were great, the service is great. It’s a very loud ride....if you have noise triggered headaches....I’m sorry. You’re in a flying cigar tube....up close with every other passenger and the open cockpit is a new experience....but totally fascinating too. The pilot and co-pilot are young but very compitant. The weather has a huge impact on your flight because if there is any wind you will get tossed around and the landing in Lethbridge is more of a roller coaster ride. Let me sum it up like this....if your not good with REALLY loud noise, or claustrophobic, or have any motion sickness issues.....rent a car and drive!!!"
Cons: "Don’t need to get there the 90 mins ahead as AC states is the policy, especially if you are on the 5 am flight because they aren’t. I made that mistake arriving at 3:30 am for my 5am flight and no one showed up til after 4am. It was really annoying to not know that ahead of time."
Pros: "My first trip started on a poor note; I got to airport about an hour before boarding, only to find out that my flight was rescheduled from 9:30am to about 6:15pm ( or so) on that same day without prior notice. I went up to the counter and asked for confirmation for the switch and inquire if there was an issue, which may have affected my original flight. Turned out that the change was due to weather conditions at Toronto (makes sense). I had suggested that it would have been nice to receive some sort of notification, before starting that day way too early and inconvenience of going to pickup my car from the airport parking, only to come back again. The attendant sympathized with my plight and compensated me with a lunch voucher (which was nice of him and WestJet). Matter was resolved; I came back to catch my flight and the trip was wonderful :)"

Cons: "1 lady wanted off the flight during deicing because she thought she would miss her connection. We technically were in flight as we had crosschecked and cleared the gate. Westjet decided they would let her off and delay the whole plane another hour and cause several people including us to miss our connection. Westjet support staff were not very helpful and a supervisor told me that they was out of their control. Wr did get a hotel but our flight was not until the next day. They put us on a 5 hour flight with a connection for a 25 min flight. The lady who wanted off was just a spoiled, she was sitting directly in front of me. So, if you ever just want to get off a plane just ask. Westjet will screw a whole plane for you."

Cons: "On an 8 hour flight there’s no complimentary meal. I paid for a meal and it was worse than free plane food and starved for the rest of the trip. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable with no lower back support and we were not even given pillows and blankets. There was also no free entertainment. I rented a tablet and had it taken away an hour before landing while I was in the middle of a movie. I might have been ok with that if the flight attendant had politely asked for it back rather than rudely waving and pointing while I stared at her blankly trying to figure out what she wanted. Next time I’ll pay a bit more for an airline that respects its passengers and our comfort."

Being held in holding because it was being confirmed that my bag would make it on my next flight and then once confirmed it never made it anyways!!! Unprofessional and poorly executed all the way through."

In Kelowna, when I discovered my luggage was still in Calgary, the West Jet rep was cheerful and helpful. How could I possibly be annoyed?"

Cons: "We were heckled by gate crew about whether my dog’s carrier was too small for him. Many suggestions were made that we were subjecting him to animal cruelty, and that we were abusive to him. He’s 7lbs, so he can’t be much smaller a dog, and his carrier it turns out, doesn’t fit under WestJet seats, despite being within carry-on luggage dimension limits (their life jackets take up most of the legroom), and thus could not be any bigger. Did they want me to have a smaller dog, or a Euclidean space-defying carrier? I suppose they were suggesting that taking a dog aboard WestJet is abusive, because they certainly don’t provide adequate space for anything larger than a hamster, they hassle you about it, and they charge you $50 for the fun of it. One agent had the nerve to reach into his carrier without permission, unannounced, and invade his personal space, him being a rescue and very anxious."

After missing the flight the hotel vouchers was provided but we were asked to report in 2 hours (i.e 4AM) so think abou whole night was literally wasted. Finally next flight was 11AM in the morning which I ended up boarding and finally reach Toronto after 8 hours of delay."
Pros: "Before taking this flight, I was very nervous because of all the bad reviews on here and other sites. The only good reviews seemed to be by people from Alberta (not really trustworthy, as they seem to support anything that's from Alberta, and note that Westjet is based in Alberta...). But I was blown away by how organized Westjet was and how nice they were. All the flights were on time (I had a few layovers), the staff was helpful....I really have no complaints. Sure, they don't have a plethora of great in-flight entertainment such as movies, etc. But when I fly, I'd rather pay less, have the staff be nice/organized, and just bring a darn book to entertain me. It was a great first flight with this company. I would fly with them again....and I can't remember the last time I said that about any other airline. So do yourself a favor: Don't listen to the bad reviews on here (unless you're obsessed with in-flight entertainment and big-butt first class seats)."

It was an okay flight, but my experience was more comfortable and the feeling of being dealt with as a person was more evident on my flight to London w BA. I appreciate that the flight went well but American Airlines still has a long way to go in customer genuine service and experience."

Cons: "In Dubai, British Air won't allow you check in more than three hours prior to flight time. Since you can't check in, you can't go through security. Since you can't go through security, you can't get to the actual terminal (where all the stores, restaurants, lounges, etc are). Therefore, if you arrive at the airport too early. you're stuck in the outer holding area prior to the check in area. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. Still weighted down with all your bags. A real bummer. Once you're allowed to check in, it takes about 30 minutes to get to the real terminal (check in, emigration, security, train ride, etc). The flight starts boarding one hour prior to departure. This leaves about 90 minutes to make it through the entire terminal and get to the gate. Any extra time can be spent looking at all the things you could have enjoyed if you could have checked in earlier. Since nobody including British Air told this in advance, we ended up twiddling our thumbs for eleven hours in the outer holding area."

Cons: "Seats in coach did not have much width or leg room. I don't like the policy of buying a flight and having to pay for a selected seat - that smacks of bait and switch. I know everybody is doing it, but it's tacking on extras once the committment has been made and that is low. The boarding process in London was horrible. queuing up everybody then telling them the general boarding is "over there". The lines should be more well-defined and single file to avoid bunching up. There was plenty of room to form lines, but the stanchions were not in place. Poorly executed. Also, there are FAR too many priorty boarding classes. People had to jump lines and go around barrier tapes to get to their positions in line when their priority class was called. Once on board, the crew did a fine job, but the boarding area is completely screwed up."

Cons: "We ran 2 hours and 10 min. over schedule getting from London to PHX. I can't understand why because pilot never said we were running late. When we landed we weren't told about the 2hr 10 min. time overage, but my sister said the plane reversed course around Iceland for a while, then turned around again and got back on track, but the PHX cell lot flight tracking board never said the flight was delayed or running late. She waited for me to get out of the airport an additional 3 hours. Luggage took a LONG time to get to the staging area and we had no clue what the problem was. It seems a simple task to put the PHX luggage in one area of cargo, and luggage going on to another destination in another area so 1st off clients could get their luggage and leave. There was a lot of luggage on the carousel that didn't get picked up. Very poor on the ground crew's part. When I have been in the air for 10 - 12 hours, I want to get my luggage and get home. Customs was a breeze compared to getting my luggage. BA lost my luggage at Heathrow on the way to Prague, and on the return had problems getting luggage to the passengers WAITING at the airport. You need to address how you handle customer luggage."

This is the second year in a row this happen to us with the same flight Venice-Philly-Phoenix. I will not fly aa next year, because it was a big inconvenience, plus I had to reschedule my work appointment as well and rearrange pick up from airport."
