Cons: "Too much to write down. Start at the counter and work yourself to the plane. I hope you get it right eventually, I’ll be flying Southwest"

Pros: "Crew was amazing, seats were comfortable. Only negative is out of your control - bad weather in DFW held up departure 5-6 hours. Much of that was on the plane, but crew kept us notified. We had to return to the gate and wait another couple of hours. Awful trip, but not your fault. What I was surprised by was no comp hotel, and the discounts were not rally good discounts."
Cons: "Most of my issues were ATC problems, not AA. The AA personnel kept us informed, etc. The one thing you can control is hotels if delayed to the point of missing all connection until the next afternoon. I understand not compi9ng BUT, when google maps shows better rates at local hotels than your "discount" program, that's sad."

There was not enough AA ground crew at our destination to allow us to embark. They couldn’t move the jetway and unload bags at the same time so we just had to sit there for 30 minutes. At 12:30am."

Cons: "On the first leg of my journey, there was a card explaining how to get inflight entertainment using the aainflight.com which worked great. However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket"

Pros: "Good is that they sent you to Finnair to correct AA created break in service...why would they pay for it? AA is just an operator per itinerary! Why would you care if ppl get help with connections!"
Cons: "Checked in online on Finnair and automatically for the second connecting flight...and not the first -AA. So, had to check-in again for the first flight at the terminal. Board passes were printed 2 out of 3 by AA and both had errors - wrong gate for the first flight and no boarding info for the second connecting flight - just blank! AA did not provide connecting info until I found an unoccupied employee at the terminal and customer service lines were about 20 people in 2 locations I went to. The connecting info should be in the itinerary they said at customer service...nope, it was not there either!"

Pros: "Entertainment was good. Food was pretty decent considering it was gluten free. Wish there were more snacks on command kind of thing. I got really hungry. The guy working at the madrid ticketing counter that helped me check in my bags. Super cool dude. Very easy to talk to. Spoke perfect English and spanish because he was raised in usa but his mom is from spain. He was very detailed in I was going to have to navigate both madrid and dallas airports."
Cons: "The VERY first American Airline lady I met at Madrid airport who was like the first greeter. I was looking at all the different posted signs to see where to go and she says “hola” and i say “hola” back. She asked me which class i was in i said whichever the normal one is. All while im inching my way towards where i seem to already to know where to go. The lady kind of snaps at me and says “stop excuse me im talking to you.” I wasnt really walking away from this lady, i was inching towards what seemed to be i needed to go(and in fact was where i needed to go). I am fully capable of listening and moving at the same time. I dont need to be scolded like 5 year old child because she thinks I wasn’t listening to her. I was listening and progressing towards the place i need to be at the same time and also using two different languages in my head in order to talk to her. So that is just what i would call mulitasking for a person and not grounds for someone to use a parenting tactic on another adult at 730am."

No update available other than its on it's way. I called again at 8:00pm, 9:00pm 10:30pm & 11:15pm. Still no update was given. At around 12:30pm AFTER I WENT TO SLEEP, someone come to my hotel room to drop off my luggage. I had an important meeting for early the following morning and if my bag did not arrive, I had no business clothes for the meeting. I could have bought some new cloths but since I was TOLD my cloths would be arriving by 1-2:00pm and be delivered by early evening, I thought that not necessary. I believe I was told that so BA"

Cons: "AA failed to allow me to check in at initial arrival in Grande Prairie airport so I had to rush to get a boarding pass in Calgary where the AA agent told me it was not an AA problem and sent me back to WestJet. WestJet discovered that it was an AA problem and returned me to the AA counter where it was resolved. Then I had to rush to catch the flight and missed any opportunity to have a decent lunch between flights. Then there was no food offered on the AA flight to Dallas."

The right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing so you get completely wrong info and they won’t do anything about it. I’m a wheelchair assist and had to call 6 times to remind them to put it on my ticket even though each time I was shown that it had been added. They kept seating on the back row of the plain and blamed me for not calling ahead to “let them know I was wheelchair assist so they could reseat me” BUT...they won’t answer you call unless it’s 24 before your flight and then to check at the airport who then tells us it’s out fault cause we didn’t call more then 36 hrs ahead...YOU CANT CALL THAT FAR AHEAD...and ...get this “they don’t have wheelchair assist on my ticket/file”. I about lost my mind over the hours on hold and every different answer as to what what to do and in the end blamed us. ASTONISHING TO ME. THEN THEY HAVE THE NERVE ON-BOARD TO ANNOUNCE THEY ARE THE BEST AIRLINE IN NORTH AMERICA 2019...HORSE PUCKY!!!"

Cons: "I want to seriously complain about Air Canada and Kayak booking systems. I reserved the tickets to Shanghai but there were no place reminding me that I need Canadian VISA to connect flights between two Canadian cities. I am a Chinese citizen who is working at USA and not allowed to change flights in Canada based on the newest government rules. However, in both booking systems, there is no reminders. In my opinion, either Kayak or Air Canada can add a simple checkbox to let the potential guest choose his or her nationality status, then this kind of trouble can be mitigated. We talked and called Air Canada people but no buying. They kept saying this is our responsibility. We bought United Airline tickets at the last minutes and cost us about $2,400 because we cannot wait to get back China to prepare our wedding ceremony and US Visa interview. We are very very disappointed with Air Canada and will keep complaining about this issue. As a service supplier, how cannot you think on behalf of a customer? The air company definitely knows more about government rules than a customer. We did have mistakes of not researching government rules. However, the biggest mistake was we trusted Air Canada and Kayak who we thought had taken care of those kind of issues for us. Thanks."

Unknown to me I could not find the flight because it had been changed to an AC reference flight. With a very short time for the connection I did not know where to get my boarding pass as my flight with Lufthansa was nowhere referred to ! Not which gate to go . Why not put it in the ticket that Lufthansa and Air Canada work together and that both flights ref should show !! It would avoid a great deal of anxiety . Only offered 1 round if hot drinks over 9 hours ! Departure delayed by nearly 60 minutes"

Because it was unexpected, we had to wait even longer for a gate to become available. We then had to re go through customs and get our bags then wait in line again at the counter to schedule our flight for the next day. Thankfully we were given a hotel room and money for food. Very scary experience overall on the runway, but they tried to handle it as smoothly as possible under the unusual circumstances."

The selection of entertainment was excellent. Good international films, in addition to the monocles 24 hours radio station. Cons: "I was stuck in immigration for about an hour. The screening process at this airport is so laborious. You have to wait on a bench until they call your name and they don't care if your flight is about to be boarding. I understand that immigration is necessary but they could at least have people form a queue instead of having us wait for our names to be called. I told them that my flight would be boarding in 25 minutes and they told me "Oh, don't worry, they'll just put you on the next flight". But when I got to my airline to check in, they charged me $150. I needed that $150 to pay some bills when I got back home."

I attempted to go to the desk for a food voucher but they didn't have enough workers and were focused on getting people with connections onto another flight and told me to wait. When we reboarded, we were offered vouchers for the airport we were leaving that would expire the next day, which is essentially useless."

We over 90 minutes for in-person assistance, only to be directed to a telephone to re-book our flight. We missed an entire day of our trip to Japan. I'm very disappointed in my experience flying Air Canada."

I found out that she did this for the connecting flight as well (not as far apart but still not together) this caused a great deal of stress as I couldn't help her when I needed to."

Cons: "Too many people with more than two bags. You have to force more people to put there bags in the plane storage not overhead. Two many carry-on bags and people had back packs with another bag, some computer bags. It takes too long to board the plan"

Cons: "I had to pay for the food for my 4hr flight. It use to be that you were provided the food at no additional cost."

Cons: "You let too many people on with multiple bags and it is a struggle to get them stored in the overhead compartments."

Cons: "I couldn't believe how little room there was for such a long flight! There wasn't enough room for me to reach my bag that was on the ground even when the seat in front of me wasn't reclined. And the people next to me kept jabbing me with their elbows because three grown adults simply could not sit next to one another in such a small space. I'm a small person so if I feel crammed on a flight I have no idea how the average person can tolerate it!"

Pros: "Comfort of seats and spaciousness of the plane"
Cons: "Agent off loaded me and only me from return flight with zero reason. Second flight I was put on was delayed 2 hours. Sat for 5 hours in the airport for a 1 hour domestic flight. Customer service was terrible. Emailed Air Canada 4 days ago and have yet to recover any response."

Pros: "They had a wheelchair accessible for me and delivered me to my waiting party."

Cons: "The biggest problem was a late arrival resulting in missing the gate and need to wait a hour on the taxiway until a gate cleard."

Cons: "Being next to toilets at bulkhead. People queing for bathroom in the extra leg space. I was on the outside seat and people constantly brushed past me and often grabbed hold of the moveable TV set in the dark to steady themselves knocking it. I paid extra money and had more problems. Listened to constant bathroom flushing and odors. Not ideal!"

Pros: "Poor fight (delay)"

Cons: "1. I am not sure if your crew members could speak English or not. I didn’t understand what they were talking about or what was happening. 2. The plane took off under extreme thunderstorm. I am not sure if this was safe to do so but the plane was extremely bumpy, going down rapidly for about 30 minutes. The whole cabin was then in chaos. People started turning up, crying and writing last words. However, your crew members GAVE NO INSTRUCTIONS, BROADCASTING OR UPDATES ON WHATS GOING ON. What they did was mocking around with each other in Cantonese. 3. This would be my last time travel with you - I was your loyal customer since student time. But after this awful experience I chose not to go with you anymore."

Cons: "The food was not great. No USB chargers. Other passengers were noisy."

Pros: "Check-in was very fast. The food was a hot sandwich and a drink and was decent. Plane left Hangzhou and arrived Taipei slightly early, which was great. Seats reasonably comfortable. Crew was kind and caring."

Pros: "Boarding was streamlined, planes took off on time and made it to destination before time. Entertainment options were decent."
Cons: "Food isn't the best (had Hindu meal for my flights) not sure if there is a better option. There isn't much in terms of snacks, outside the set meals. Some of the crew members do struggle with communicating in English, but I always found someone to work with."

Pros: "The crew and boarding was great. Food was ok."
Cons: "Online check in was not possible and when asking for extra leg room at the gate options were limited. I was told I would be on an exit row and window. However, I was one seat forward of that. It was technically a window seat if you don't count the jump seat for the crew... To top it off, a red eye flight with a seat that does not recline is no good. I do understand that being 6'5" causes air travel to be more difficult. It just seems that some airlines are more accommodating than others."

Cons: "For some reason they had a hard time printing off our infant boarding pass and couldn’t print out our connecting flights so we had to go to a ticket counter during a very short transfer. We came within minutes of not making it."

Cons: "No notification that my itinerary required a visa - despite a 144hr transfer allowance for both Shanghai and Beijing it does not apply if you fly in at one and out the other! You only 24 hrs in that case. And I found this out at the gate in Osaka."

Pros: "it was a very comfortable flight and the crew was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with two small children, so saying it was a comfortable flight is very high praise."
Cons: "It was VERY annoying that we had to keep all cell phones turned off the entire flight. We preloaded games for my 5 year old son on an old iPhone 4 that is not connected to the internet or any cell service or bluetooth or anything and he was not allowed to use it the entire flight. Very frustrating for him and us. I wish this information was clearly provided on the Air China website when we booked the tickets so we could have planned accordingly."

Cons: "I flew Alaska Airlines to San Jose and San Jose to Shanghai on air China. I was told by Alaska my baggage would be carried all the way through to Pudong airport. My baggage claim ticked showed that. When I got to PVG Pudong airport in Shanghai my baggage was not there they were not very helpful and difficult to understand. They told me they thought my baggage would come ther on another flight and gave me a form. By the next evening I had not heard from them. I emailed them again and I'm currently in Japan waiting to see if they will send me my luggage. Do not expect the kind of customer service in China as you would in the US or Japan.Shanghai airport is, at best, difficult to navigate...stay away from all the taxi solicitors."

Cons: "The flight was delayed so late that I missed my international connecting flight home despite leaving a four hour gap. The inflight service was pathetic. The food was atrocious, the media system was broken, there was not wifi, and they did not allow the use of cellphones the entire duration of the flight even in airplane mode. The ground staff was completely unhelpful. I was barely able to secure an alternative flight home after about a half hour of negotiating. I don't think I could have got the flight at all had I not spoke Chinese. None of the other foreign nationals were able to get a new flight. The flight they put on back home had to stop in Hawaii and cost me a good extra 8 hours. I got home 12 hours later than I had anticipated. I am filing for compensation. What a joke. Air China shouldn't even both with international flights if all their domestic flights are delayed and they are barely able to help customers speaking their native language (to say nothing of English)."

Cons: "I ordered a special food (Halal) and it was wrongly served to another guest. I had to repeat that I pre-ordered a Moslem meal. They eventually gave me a Moslem meal (there was a foil label which said Moslem meal) but the dish was mostly sauteed mushrooms with no meat (halal doesn't mean vegan!). It was not enough to satisfy my hunger for a mid-range flight."

Cons: "My first two flights were delayed (1st flight from Changsha to Beijing was delayed for 4 hours and 2nd flight from Beijing to Houston was delayed for 45 mins), so I missed my last flight from Houston to Orlando to go home! And! They lost both of my luggages! Now I'm forced to stay in Houston airport overnight to catch next flight to go home tomorrow morning. Air China did NOT help anything! They wouldn't even help me rebook my flight when they know I will miss my last connect flight."

Cons: "Customer service agents at front desk in LAX and Beijing - TV touch screens were broken 50% of the time - poor quality beverages and food"

Pros: "I got upgraded to economy plus and the staff was fantastic"

Pros: "Crew disengaged the smoke detector in order to smoke on board. There was a significant water leak in the business class bathroom that was not addressed. No communication of safety issues between the crew and pilots. Apparently the crew must be dissallusioned to think rules don't apply to them over international waters."
Cons: "Terrible airline with several safety violations. Stay away from this one."
