Your guide to booking Tirana flights

From booking to airport arrival, find tips to help you plan your flight with more confidence.
  • For the best chance at a low fare to Tirana, aim to book around 5 weeks before you fly. That window historically saves about 22% versus last-minute pricing based on KAYAK booking data over the last 12 months.
  • For flights to Tirana, recent KAYAK data shows that stronger deals tend to land around C$ 1,104 round-trip. If you see a fare below that threshold, it's a strong deal – book before the price climbs back up.

  • Before you book:

    • Check the route's typical price range so you can spot a deal.
    • Confirm baggage fees and seat selection costs on budget carriers.
    • Verify whether you need any travel documents beyond an ID.
    • Pick a departure airport, since your nearest may not be the cheapest origin.
  • Shift your departure to evening to save up to C$ 213 per round-trip. Evening flights to Tirana average C$ 1,321 compared to C$ 1,534 for noon flights. See the time-of-day chart above for the full breakdown.
  • Bag allowances vary by airline, fare type, cabin class, and route. On flights to Tirana, some airlines may include bags at no extra cost. For example, Air Transat includes a carry-on bag and a checked bag in Economy Class. Always check the fare details before booking, since bag policies can change by ticket type.
  • Tirana International Airport (TIA) has several ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, internet kiosks, public telephones, and mobile phone services.
  • Tirana has distinctive museums, a national theatre, and a folklore institute, including architecture that’s reminiscent of the Soviet Union. If you have a long layover, these are examples of places where you can visit.
  • It is best to check your luggage through to your hotel, especially if Tirana, Albania, is your last stop. This will give you a chance to explore the city without the bulk of your travel bags weighing you down.
  • If you have a short layover and want to avoid crowded terminals, you can wait for your connecting flight at the Tirana International Airport’s Air Lounge on the 2nd floor of the passenger terminal. This dedicated area is open to frequent flyer travellers who have at least an hour before their departure.
  • Major car rental companies along with independent operators can be located in the public arrivals area of the Tirana International Airport terminal.

On one of the flights, the situation became sufficiently frustrating that a passenger openly expressed their dissatisfaction. Despite these complaints, we did not observe any meaningful improvement or receive an adequate explanation. The fact that members of our group experienced similar conditions on two separate aircraft is particularly concerning. We recognize that cabin temperatures may vary during a flight; however, the prolonged discomfort and the apparent lack of an effective response significantly affected our travel experience. Passengers reasonably expect a long-haul international flight to provide a tolerable cabin environment. When multiple passengers raise concerns about their comfort or well-being, those concerns should be acknowledged and addressed professionally.

Flight was really good, with no middle section on an A321neo for an international flight, from Ottawa directly to London. Staff was friendly. The food was okay, and entertainment amenities could be better.

The flight was terrible based off the temperature in the plane and the air smelled so stale and gross. I have never wanted to hosed lore in my life after I got off. The food was disgusting and seemingly low quality. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were so gross after a couple of hours. I will definitely never book with them again.

The crew was great. There was no entertainment and the internet wasn't working. We sat in the run way for a LONG time which is always so upsetting. The seats are very close together and the flights are completely full which makes for a tough flight. Flying is just an uncomfortable experience.

Very kind crew. Vegetarian food better than usual. Prompt take off. Entertainment worked well. Could always do with more room!

I liked the reliability. I liked less the chair comfort...

The dinner was bland and boring, but the economy seats were surprisingly comfortable. The flight was very packed.

I didn't have any problems during my flight. My main issue is with airlines in general, they keep offering less and less every year, AirTransat is no different.

We are a senior couple (70+) and chose emergency exit seats so we would have 2 seats together and neither of us had to sit in a middle seat. My husband is type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump and I monitor his blood sugar levels. I am 5'9" and 250 lbs and found the seats extremely uncomfortable. Toward the end of the flight I developed diarrhea which lasted a full 24 hours.

We were treated well by the staff at the airport and on board aircraft. Delay was uncontrollable due to the weather. Had to wait for another gate as we were late landing in Fort Lauderdale.

DO NOT book with Kayak or a third party travel agent like Underpricers. You will regret it.

Overall great experience, flight was good and crew was focused on safety and comfort

Every time I fly LOT, I swear I will never do it again. And changing planes in Warsaw is a horror. Not even remotely organized. I can only feel sorry for the staff who have to put up with it.

I have flown over 2million miles. Great flight but bizarre boarding process. They must have paged half the passengers to the desk for documentation check before boarding anyone. Overall great value.

Flight was delayed for a hour from Warsaw, not sure why. When we landed in Chicago, plane was still on the runway for about half a hour. Took a while to get off.

The flight itself was pleasant and on time. Crew was very good. However, breakfast food was barely acceptable. Unfortunately this satisfies the recent industry standards. I asked for a sandwich with ham (another choice was cheese), but received a sandwich with roast beef.

Agents helping disable person doesnt know connections to Poland and after 9 agents helping and 2hours ,we made it to proper terminal. Polish Dreamliner its Polish nightmare liner with so narrow seats and no room under front seat for bag and feet,in economy class. To upgrade, to higher standart cost an arm and leg ,even there are empty seats No good experience overall

Boarding was impossible to navigate. Had mobility issues and a business class ticket, but still boarded almost at the end of the queue because there was absolutely no organization or assistance.

Very courteous staff. Abnoxious passenger in front of me who reclined her seat all the way without warning and without considering the person behind her. My flight ORD-WAW was so much more pleasant because of the courtesy of the passenger in front of me.

Lost my suitcase. And communication was poor. No offers of compensation for over 24 hour delay of bag

Plane was late. Too many announcements during the flight. Made me pay that deposit. Uncomfortable seats.

It was pretty good. The transatlantic flights can be tough on any airline, but this was a decent experience. The only thing I disliked was the airline crew moved my carry on bag without telling me or explaining anything. If I was sleeping during that part, I would’ve assumed it was stolen.

Exorbitantly overpriced ticket. Flight was delayed as per usual with air Canada and there was zero refund or compensation.

Flight delay due to staff shortage. No snack or drinks served. Toilets had water collecting on the floor.

The help at check-in area was excellent! The crew on board was great and the legroom and entertainment is excellent!

Flight was delayed due to crew/co-pilot change over delay and Pearson scheduling issue. Flight didn't leave until 20:05 which was 15 minutes before it was supposed to land in YYZ.

Snacks and drinks should be served together and air hostess was not supportive with no smile which was kind of disappointing.

Because you didn't have the tarmac clear and then had to unboard a plane I missed my connecting flight to CLE. Cost me a day ... a 30 dollar hotel hamburger ... then the next day THAT flight was an hour late to arrive ...

First of all the flight departing from Deer Lake was delayed for 4 hours due to a problem with the plane. Secondly, I am 6ft 2 inches tall, which is not that tall nowadays, but I had no leg room despite having nothing under the seat in front of me. When the person in front of me reclined his seat just a little bit I could not lower my tray all of the way; it rested on my knee not in a horizontal position. Thirdly, I am tired of Air Canada not reinforcing carry on baggage sizes. On the outgoing flight from Toronto to Deer Lake we had trouble finding space in the overhead bins. Some people were putting luggage in them that were definitely larger than carry on size. Airlines should have all carry on luggage checked (using those gadgets designed for that) before one enters security perhaps at the baggage checking counters. Having it there won’t delay boarding and will put the onus on people to follow the luggage size limits.

it was by far the worst business class experience i've had. the food was awful, the staff was worthless and lazy, the drinks were warm, no blankets. dirty bathroom.

In business on the top-deck of an overnight transatlantic flight. A family with uncontrolled young children were there too. All night they were running around up and down the walkway while squealing . . .

Boarding was weird. They boarded two flights at the same gate at the same time. So mass confusion for the non English/French speakers. So many people at such a small gate. Like every other part of this airport you have to walk miles between everything. Gate to plane was a 5 min walk :) several long flights so I was worried about my steps but ended up walking several miles here so worked out.

I never got to Lufthansa because of Air Canadas negligence.

The flight got delayed 3 hours from Montreal and we missed our connecting flight so it was a long journey

The service and food was excellent. The remote control for entertainment did not function properly.

All was good, except my USB charging did not work, so my phone got drained and I could not charge it. Same happened to my neighbour.

A bit more space? Not practical, I know. I felt squished in but part of that could have been the man sitting next to me.

The plane (Mitsubishi CRJ) felt old, creaking and not very new. The crew was okay. Hot water provision was broken so hot beverages could't be served.

This flight had way more space than my international flight which is just embarrassing

Missed the flight due to delays, waited hours for someone to finally do something to help, get on a flight 10 hours later only to have the plane deviate to Greece and made us spend the night in Greece and get on a flight the next day. It was a 3 day trip and the worst experience of traveling we've ever been through.

I didn't like the food, and it wasn't as good as all other business class that I'm using

I'm flying several times per month in business class. You had the worst food by far from any company I have ever flew with. The Spanish wine was great. I purchased Internet, but it didn't work well for most of the flight.

All good, professional service, and arrived close to on time.

This was a special trip so we booked first class. It was obviously an old plane as the seats weren't that comfortable or spacious. We were delayed 45mins taking off as the "little engine that starts the big engines doesn't work". The powered divider between myself and the next seat in first class didn't work and my electrically powdered seat didn't work so I had to move seats to try and get some sleep. Food and drink were good, crew were great. But I'll never fly with BA again.

Need thicker and wider blankets. Food was below standard especially in the fist leg.

Decrepit planes, poor business class layout designed to maximize revenue, no decent movie selection.

Boarding was efficient. Flight left on time. Wasn’t full so we could spread out a bit. Food was ok.

The A350 is a great plane but BA's seating was incredibly tight (eg compared to the same plane as flown by BA's partner Finnair) and with a middle seat it was very claustrophobic

Staff and crew where very nice and friendly. Just need to improve the timming om the meal and beverages.

Lost bag - again. No help from staff at Nice - they have a handling agent who does nothing No emergency kit Try calling BA - they eventually found the bag - now on later flight. Trying to get someone to help in the short term is impossible. If I am unhappy - then I have to log it on a website. The agent said he was only able to help with future bookings - not assist in the chaos BA had caused. IF YOU WANT SERVICE WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - PICK ANYONE BUT BA. Personally - I'm joining ABBA (Anyone But BA) again.
