Boarding pass counter did not open until 2 hrs before flight. We were there 3 hrs before as we like to be early ( eat, relax etc). Due to this the line up was large , thus never got through security till 15 min before boarding. Other than that, everything was great
The agent at check in was very cordial and gave me seat 4a with nobody beside me as I asked if possible
Seats not as comfortable but understand as it was a smaller plane/ short flight. All in all, I’ve never had any issues with Porter. Great company to fly with
We were very offended Reserva check in agent in Calgary. Erroneously profiled and reprimanded for using Reserve line . Hadn't even looked at tickets. We were in fact Reserve passengers
The staff was amazing. Best service I’ve had on an aircraft in a long time. Was not particularly happy with the food. Flight was at 10:50 and left home too early for breakfast and wasn’t able to purchase food at airport and felt for sure I could get some breakfast to buy on airplane. Nope as food was served around 11:30 and only one choice left (I was at 22C) so ordered the chicken dish thinking I’m getting a hot meal but cold chicken with rice and carrots etc. I was looking forward to a croissant sandwich and a hot cup of tea. The FA was kind to explain they were serving dinner at that time. She was lovely Other than the disappointment with the food the staff was amazing. On my return flight I will make sure to eat and take some food with me so I’m not hungry or disappointed. This was my second time ever flying Porter and will consider checking them when I next come to visit my daughter. Have to say it again best crew I’ve ever experienced on a flight and I travel quite a bit. Thanks.
A few improvements: 1. No signages at the airport that the porter airline was a codeshare and i could check-in at American counter. 2. Crew at the gate said they couldn't change my reward to Alaska - despite that being done previously 3. Despite there being many open seats, i was assigned a seat at the very back near lavatory, last row. Fortunately, the pilot wanted more people moved up so the flight attendants moved me up. It seemed very odd to have been stuck in last row with very few people nearby..
I didn’t receive any help when they messed up and wasn’t honest and the supervisor did absolutely nothing to help me so I had to buy another ticket at $537
There was No Flight. Both Kayak and Porter refused to honor my booking. I was asked for an additional 1,300 $ CAD to keep the flight. After several emails to both Kayak and Porter I was ignored. I had to cancel my March spring break plans, dog kennel and hotel. I had to re-book another vacation to Nassau in January w Expedia. I had to re-book a new vacation for spring break. Porter and Kayak both blamed each other and would not work together to fix this. Not cool.
Even tho the flight was a bit delayed the team was apologetic. Everyone was friendly and efficient.
The flight was a little delayed but check in was easy and boarding was quick. Luggage was quickly available and everything worked great.
On one of the flights, the situation became sufficiently frustrating that a passenger openly expressed their dissatisfaction. Despite these complaints, we did not observe any meaningful improvement or receive an adequate explanation. The fact that members of our group experienced similar conditions on two separate aircraft is particularly concerning. We recognize that cabin temperatures may vary during a flight; however, the prolonged discomfort and the apparent lack of an effective response significantly affected our travel experience. Passengers reasonably expect a long-haul international flight to provide a tolerable cabin environment. When multiple passengers raise concerns about their comfort or well-being, those concerns should be acknowledged and addressed professionally.

My screen was broken so now movies, etc, but I didn’t really mind. They did work on it, so good effort on their part.
Arm rests are too small and too close. No screens, movie selection was very limited and poor. Food is pretty much overpriced cheap convenience store food.
Crew was good, helpful. Flight ran on time.would have liked to take airtransat home to MTL. But the price back from San Jose Costa Rica was MUCH more expensive than the flight from MTL to San Jose c.r.

They never sent me a confirmation to say my flight time had changed so I cut my holiday short by 6 hours Had to pay over 50 American for my luggage to be checked on the way home and that’s more that it cost on the way there. Arbitrarily charging more for the same thing when the passenger has no options is shady The cabin was an icebox going there and back, if all the passengers have their gloves on and their hoods up that should be an obvious sign to turn up the heat
I was very nice to arrive earlier than scheduled. Very much appreciated. No issues with flight. All was good.
The pilot came out and chatted with the passengers. He explained why there was a slight delay. The crew was excellent. Very helpful. I had to buy meals for my whole family and they were in different seats, so the crew had to deal with that. They were very pleasant and accommodating and did a great job!
The food was small portions and not fresh. I was seated at the back of the plane so by the time the cart approached me most of the food options were sold out. The cabin crew was fantastic however.
Bumped from my connected flight, we arrived earlier than scheduled and I was bumped 4.5 hours later. There was no reason, they said my time I wouldn’t have connected in time. I had 41 minutes. None of Westjet customer service in airport could figure out why me and my 5 year old were bumped from flight we booked. We had 10 minutes to get to next gate after we got off the plane, one lady mentioned that’s not enough time to get to next gate. I was there in 3 minutes. Was originally suppose to fly out at 6:50 pm And was re scheduled to 11:45pm.
Everything went well, smooth flight, arrived on time, no lost luggage!
Terrible. I was charged $75 for a checked bag when I only had a carry on. The lady at the desk said she couldn’t refund me the money and that I had to call westjet. I called the next day and they said they couldn’t refund me because there is no way to prove I didn’t have a checked bag.
WestJet employees were not properly informed about where my luggage was going causing extreme confusion and almost made me miss my flight
WestJet continues to live up to budget airline status. The flight crew were not particularly friendly and just were not attentive. We were served cold meals, not initially given any cutlery, and served wrong beverage orders. Seats are not comfortable, especially for long haul flights, and there is basically no offered in/flight entertainment. Fortunately they did have a WiFi service which did seem to work for streaming and connecting kids tablets, but if you were not prepared you were left scrambling. Mix that in with the strike concerns leading up to flights, it made for a less than ideal flight (especially when comparing it to similar class in Air Canada for the outbound flight). Third flight with WestJet but not necessarily planning on booking again.
First time flying WestJet airlines and it was a wonderful experience!

It was ok. Jet was ok but it lacked many convinces we have experienced on other airlines such as in seat entertainment. Space seamed more compact than other airlines. They did not provide the gate to gate assistance we arranged for for our mom who needed a wheel chair.
Good flight. We were all boarded in good time for departure time but baggage loading had barely begun. So left late. No food just snacks and basic drinks for free (food also for purchase). No entertainment as again, unable to connect with wifi on WestJet despite being a rewards member.
For some reason pretty much all zones were called almost one after the other and we all ended up standing without moving for what seemed like a long time. Definitely not WestJet’s fault. Likely the guys in hiviz vests at boarding desk. The big problem was zero explanation. If there is a good reason for something people will understand. As a consequence of this delay flight was quite late leaving. Zero entertainment on board. I’m a Rewards member but was unable to connect to the Wifi. First world problems, I know. Flight was otherwise excellent.
Very disappointed with cancellation, then rebooking with booked friends bumped off & then a delay of over 6 hours!! Totally disappointing & all the anxiety it caused was unacceptable. $15 food voucher to compensate is a joke!
Smooth on time flight with standard AC service. As usual food options awful. Wish airlines could offer better quality food services

We should get a light meal since it was an international flight over 5 hours. Ticket price is high. Why should I have to pay for a meal?

I used to fly aeromexico yvr to sjo c.rica. they charged me extra $450 can when they messed up my flight as stuck in mex city . Their plane broke down 5 hrs delaying flights . I decided next time ,as this time air Canada to c.rica vacation . I rate my trip as excellent overall. I only wish there was an option to pay for meals on booking the trip. 4 or 5 hours long time no food only drinks free. Therefore please give option for a better meal like I'm used to . No blankets provided, no meal or snack service provided for a 5hr flight. No headphones provided, available for a $4 charge, no Bluetooth connection to entertainment system provided. Terrible airline.
AC Cancelled our flight when we were waiting to board due to pilot staffing. They would have known this well in advance. Very frustrating. Rescheduled for the following day.
Even though I we were flying Business, my wife was in a wheelchair and the lady in the counter told the airport employee that he had to make the line (this was a first for us). There was only snacks and a heavier option to sell. The staff in the plane was great.
Seats are absolutely not comfortable and large enough. There’s a limit and you stepped over it. I understand that there’s a business class, however for the price it costs, it’s just plain stupid for a 50 minute flight.

The incoming plane was late and no information was shared. They even announced we would board in 10 muntes 40 minutes prior to the plane arriving, and the website said until takeoff that we had taken off an hour earlier
A few years ago long flights 6 hours or so used to have video screens and they offered ear phones. The food cart used to come and drinks. Now absolutely nothing. Avianca is as bad as Spirit Airlines. Avianca will now be my last choice when booking my next flight.
Business class seats did not lie flat. There was only powdered milk for your coffee....in Business Class!! Food was good.
The personal at the front desk in Manaos was awesome, I have never experience anything like that before, the person who attended me deserves to have a promotion I still remember him, very educated, kind but overall he could put himself on your position
