There was a delay leaving Aruba that made me rush to my connecting flight from Atlanta to Charlottesville. Refueling is a normal part of air travel and for it to take so long seemed odd. I am not sure if that was the airlines fault or the airports fault. Other then that the trip went smooth

It wasn't that the 2 planes arrived at different times. The agent was just horrible. In the end, she lied to the passengers that there were no overhead space left. When I went to get my seat, most of the overhead space was empty!! I had to check-in my bag and my bag was damaged by the delta crew."

Cons: "The Cancun airport provides a terrible experience for transferring between flights, especially if you need to change from the international terminal to a domestic terminal or vice-versa. There is no way to get between terminals inside security and the free shuttle is slow and overcrowded. Meanwhile, one is forced to run a gauntlet of taxi and shuttle drivers trying to get you to pay them exorbitant fees to drive you to your terminal. Once you finally arrive you discover that there is no dedicated baggage recheck for an international arrival. Just don't buy a ticket that transfers in CUN."

The KLM employees on board did a very good job of taking care of the situation and making sure everyone else on board still had a calm flight experience."

Cons: "The flight from Las Vegas was delayed for a very long time, and then diverted to Huntsville, Alabama, because of weather in Atlanta. I understand that was beyond Delta's control, except for the fact that its Atlanta hub is grossly overused. But my connecting flight in Atlanta was canceled, and its "dedicated" phone line to re-book the flight was completely unresponsive. The employees in Atlanta were, as they usually are, surly, and myself and fellow passengers had to wait on line for hours in the wee hours of the morning to be re-booked. Oh, and Delta lost my suitcase in Las Vegas, with all my clothes and a business file, and it has not been located."

The crew gave no explanation for the switch in aircraft, and no apology either."

We boarded the plane on time. The pilot discovered a problem with hydraulics that was going to take about one hour to repair. We deplaned and waited about an hour and a half to reboard. The flight was smooth; the landing rather bumpy. The crew was wonderful.

Even when the flight attendants picked up the trash. They were informed after the flight they did not comply with CDC, Department of health, and state policies. Their response was “ I made announcements overhead. Didn’t you hear?”. Appalling endangering customers and disregarding Federal, State, and local policies."

The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. I'm not sure how much of an influence the airline has on the airport part of it all, but the check-in process was good. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

Having then gone through to the gate without cat (left cat with husband) I was then called up at the gate to ask if I was flying with a pet because it was on my records. The flight was then delayed for 3 hours with little explanation and as far as I'm aware, no compensation."

Appeared there was zero communcation between the gate staff and actual crew. So much was so 'typical Miami' which is just a sad way any travel experience should be described. I expect more from the largest global airline especially when I just listened to several interviews from the CEO who appeared to pride himself to be accurate in being the best to serve his patrons."
