She openly expressed frustration with Alaska in front of passengers on multiple occasions and was very rude and brusque with us customers. She made me feel like a nuisance for even just being on the flight. Otherwise the seats were just so small and uncomfortable. It was a long flight to feel smushed and have a sore tailbone from the total lack of padding."

They did a full drink/snack down the aisle thing ensuring that everyone packed into that small space would all be taking off their masks at the same time (if they still had it on in the first place). Pros: "The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."
Cons: "We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."

Cons: "AA is now trying to save money (presumably) by doing like Delta: forcing half of us to connect in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the Charlotte airport is not ready to accommodate so many people. The airport looks like it is being renovated, which is fine, but there is no tape/cones to mark off the renovated areas from the walkways. You literally walk through dirt and construction sites. I didn't even think that was legal in the US?! Anyway, maybe it will be worth it once the renovations are complete, especially if AA is going to use it as a hub."

What wasn't told to us was we would lose our seats and be put on the bottom of a waiting list. We were able to board bc other passengers did not show up, however we no longer had our seat preference, so I had a middle seat, although I'm a service member with a left knee issue so my seat needs to be an isle one. Also, there were no food choices that did not account for my allergy."

Cons: "I arrived at HNL nearly 2 hours before my flight. The check-in procedures at HNL were very poor. There were not enough operating machines to help passengers check-in. In fact, there appeared to be more non-functioning machines .than working ones which created a huge backlog of passengers. We then had to wait in another long line to have our bagged checked and boarded. This was one of the worse situations I've seen in a very long time."

Missed connecting flight and booked on flight 5 hours past original departure time. Sat in an aisle seat and stewardess kept bumping my arms."

To my surprise, there had many open space when I walked in the plane. The worst thing was my brand new suitcase was torn. Wasn't greeted at boarding. Had to interrupt staff to ask which side of plane I should walk down to get to my seat. I paid extra for 12th row - waste of money!"

I asked the rep at the gate to please have an aisle seat but she asked me to wait as she will call my name for seat assignments later. As I waited like she called many names and not mine, i again reminded her that she didnt call mine and she then just gave me my boarding pass without even apologizing that shr had put me in a middle seat. I told her i cant sit im a middle seat i need am aisle because I go to the bathroom often. she coldly said. "no more aisle seats". bad experience with ground staff in general as this is not the first time."
Pros: "The whole experience from boarding to landing was great. Zone 2 boarding is one of the first called and the premium economy section has larger seats that recline more and don't affect the person behind as much. Food was decent and serve on a ceramic plate with real silver wear. On demand entertainment was adequate with a number of recent titles and even audiobook options."
Cons: "The section was set up in a 2-3-2 seat configuration and I booked the middle 3, but were given 2 in the middle and one one the left aisle. One of the middle seats was left open for the pilot to come back and watch movies during the flight. When I asked the attendant if we could swap the left aisle with the "pilot's" the attendant made it seem like it was a bigger deal but eventually asked the pilot who said he didn't mind. After all, it was just changing one empty seat to the other side of the aisle."

Several flights were delayed or cancelled and in the end I ended up just going to a city 3 hours from where I live and renting a car to drive home. My luggage still hasn't arrived. This was the worst, most stressful travel experience of my life."

Pros: "I flew roundtrip to Japan on Air Canada business class. Buying a ticket late, I noticed it was only $500 or so more for business class. We did have to touchdown in Canada coming and going, but short and efficient hops. On the way back, it probably saved time because we were cleared in Canada so arriving back in Philly was like a domestic flight. Great Food and service. The trip to Japan on their new Dreamliner business class featured an amazingly designed pod - super comfortable, lay flat for sleeping, But has good layout and table space if I had wanted to work on laptop. Thumbs up!"

Pros: "Missed scheduled flight from Toronto to Calgary. The staff at the desk in Toronto were most helpful and kind. A new boarding pass was printed for the next flight and she assured me that my checked luggage would accompany me from Toronto to Calgary. They also printed a boarding pass for my next flight to Lethbridge. On arrival in Calgary flight personnel ask all patrons to remain seated to allow those of us who had a connecting flight to depart first. I certainly appreciated this kind suggestion and it allowed me more time to reach my next departure gate."

Air Canada spent little time looking for hotel rooms and told us if we can find one for ourselves they would be willing to give us up to$150 for the room if we saved our receipts. Where can you find a room in Phoenix for $150? You can't. The plane was suppose to leave 6:25pm . This was 9:00pm. No offer of food , drinks nothing. People were tired and hungry. Finally after a lot of complaining, that's when some us were given rooms they gave us vouchers for the hotels restaurant that was closed due to renovations. The agent was to,d this when they reserved the rooms but they lead us to believe there would be food there. We didn't get out until 2:00 pm the next day. And even that flight was late. I was exhausted when I finally reached my destination. I lost over a day of my vacation. I don't want to fly with Air Canada again!!!!!!!!!!"

The long lineups for Customs & Immigration actually caused me to miss my next flight, even though the Frankfurt flight was early and I had over 90 minutes between flights. Several passengers were expressing concerns about missing their connection, but the staff just shrugged and made everybody wait in line without even trying to organize matters. I spent well over an hour waiting for my passport to be stamped and when I finally got through and tried to locate my suitcase (which was MIA), my next flight was closed. At least my suitcase will be delivered to our home, which is a slight relief."

Our flight was supposed to land at 2:20 pm and did not land until 10:30 pm at Narita airport. We were not compensated and were abandoned by Air Canada. Cons: "We flew Air Canada Rouge both to Maui and returning. On the way out, our plane had a "fuel pump" failure and we had to sit on the tarmac for almost 2 hours. On our first attempt at a return flight, we were delayed because they were missing a flight attendant. After she showed up, we were told that a seal on the plane was leaking hot air onto the fuel tank, and we were likely not leaving the airport that night. They kept us at the gate for hours because there was a (and I quote) "1% chance we could get the part from another island, but don't count on it" The time for them to legally keep the pilot and attendants came and went, so they all left... but we were still kept at the gate. The plane left the gate and STILL AC Rouge wouldn't officially cancel the flight, because then they would have to put us up in hotels. So no crew, no plane, and all of us sitting at the gate at 2 in the morning waiting for some guy in some mainland city to call and tell us we could leave. FINALLY, the call came in, and we spent another hour and a half waiting in line to get hotel vouchers. The next day, when we actually got on the plane, my brother in law sat down to all of a sudden receive a fountain of water pouring on his head from the ventilation system. When he asked if he could get some tape or something to plug the leak of water, the stewardess told him that they are not allowed to put tape anywhere. So he stood there with a waded up paper towel. Oh, and there was puke on my seatbelt. Sure , it is a budget flight. But I am paying less for not having a meal, cramped seats, and minimal service... NOT an unsafe plane that is literally peeing on our faces for being dumb enough to choose this airline. Congrats, Air Canada Rouge for our worst flight experience. Get some planes that aren't falling apart."

The desk worker went that extra mile to change my flight to an earlier one. Everything was completed barely in time, but she also escorted me through all the way to board the flight so they would not close the doors on me. She was awesome!"

Cons: "original red-eye flite was canc after we boarded due to mechanical issues...we.didn't get a room til 6am and we had a 6 yr old with us......only slept 1 1/2 hrs (after being awake for 31hrs) ...as had to be back at airport for 11am..only to find out once there from another passenger that flite was delayed three more times and wasn't leaving til 9pm...we personally never did receive these e-mails....I spent 10 hrs at the airport with my luggage in tow as there was nowhere to ck it.....understandably there were a lot of events going on so hence so much difficulty in getting rooms or taxis for us all....once on board my flite I asked for a blanket and was told they didn't have any... only to discover upon deplaning that the whole section in front of me as well as first class all had blankets!!"
