Cons: "The check in process took a long time; longer than other carriers. In spite of so many crew members being there at the gate, there were no announcement of the boarding process. It used to be there before. When asked the staff is very politely responds on what is going on but the rest of the passengers do not know what's going on. Wonder why the staff do not follow the seating process by zone as mentioned on the boarding pass."

Cons: "I have used Kayak many times but I am afraid I may not use it anymore. We booked tickets to India from Boston few months ago. We booked for Emirates. But we got the tickets issued through web jet. With the recent travel ban we wanted to reschedule our tickets. And then the whole problem unravelled. We called kayak to reschedule. Kayak team said its not their responsibility and forwarded me to Web jet. We called emirates directly but they said since we booked tickets via Web jet they will be able to help. So we called Web jet and they charged a hefty 250-300$ extra to what Emirates would have charged for difference in pay. They said its basically the processing fee. We were disappointed as the reason for postponing was not in our hands, and the fact that kayak passed the buck to Web jet in dealing with the issue. If we had bought our tickets directly from Emirates the process would have been very smooth."

I really loved how the plane was not packed like a can of sardines. It was very comfortable and seemed clean.
Maintenance issues delayed our flight out of DFW. We had to wait for maintenance to check our plane which delayed our flight almost 45 minutes while we were already boarded. Much of the delay was just waiting for someone from maintenance to actually show up!
I tried to change the food preference on the web site but it didn't save it, getting through to them on the phone is impossible these days so I wasn't able to save the food preferences.

Cons: "Our gate (E38c) shared the same walkway (or whatever the place between the terminal gate and the plane door is called) with four other flights. It was a long and poorly-marked sidewalk amidst ongoing construction. The crews had to make sure everyone boarding each plane was on the plane heading to the correct destination. There was essentially nothing stopping people from any of the five flights getting on any of the five planes. Other than that, it was a good flight with great crew."

When I called to ask why since all I received was a text message the customer service rep was rude. Then I received another text message on 9/13 at 4:30 am saying my flight was canceled and we were rebooked again!!! After calling again I was told if I want to leave on Friday we would have to leave from another airport that was over an hour away which means $225 in transportation to get us there! This is on top of the 2 additional hotel nights we paid for and additional meals. When I asked if we would be compensated for all the additional expenses we were incurring I was told it's weather related so probably not. I informed the rep that flights have been leaving Orlando since Tuesday 9/12 so that cannot be the case. She said to try to contact them online. UNACCEPTABLE. I will not fly AA again and I will not recommend them to family or friends. If I could give zero stars I would but the survey defaults to one star."

AS A RESULT when we got to Calgary we had to wait at the over size luggage racks for our carry ons to be delivered instead of them being set up for us as we left the aircraft which is normal!! Very frustrating!!"

Truly their suitcase not paid for is the same as mine paid for. Difference is the inconvenience of having to keep my hand luggage at my feet because of the larger pieces filled by passengers in group 1, 2, and 3 over my designated seat area."
