Cons: "Ticketing was "supposed" to open 2 hours before the flight, but opened a half hour late. THEEEEEN the luggage was lost in Seattle for over an hour, sooooo THE FLIGHT was great. Getting TO the gate, & TEY7NG to get home WITH my luggage.......... NOT SO MUCH!"

Cons: "My flight was late and I was not notified through any media, not Kayak not Alaska Airlines. I arrived early to the airport, asked the luggage check in and was told it was 30 minutes behind. Then burn up a little time, go through security only to find that it was 50 minutes late. None of the signage was updated at the terminal to say how late, it still said on time until I got on the plane. My flight was stressful due to being sat next to someone with no sense of personal space and in the two other seats next to me was a fussy baby with his father. Got to Portland, and had to run to the other half if the airport. I decided to postpone my flight until later due to that stress."

Cons: "They kept canceling flights even though other flights were going out of Seattle and landing in Bozeman. But the gate agents were promising that the next flight wasn't gong to be cancelled and that I was going to have a seat, so I didn't book another flight from Seattle to Bozeman on a different carrier. So I spend 3 full days waiting at the boarding gate with the gate agent saying boarding would begin in 30 minutes the whole time. Finally they just sent me back home to Oakland. I missed my last chance to see my grandfather alive. He just passed away. To add insult to injury, they they wouldn't refund the ticket because I "used" the ticket for a lovely vacation to the Seattle airport for 3 days."

Cons: "The plane had to turn around halfway from Seattle to Vancouver due to a mechanical problem. We all later got an email saying we'd receive a discount on future travel because the airline deemed the delay "preventable." We got a second plane quickly, on the second boarding process the gate agent failed to do preboarding. I'm on crutches at the moment, so this meant more time on my feet manoeuvring around "elite status members" than I would have liked."

So then then booked me in the Alaska air line for the next day and gave e me a best western hotel to stay at, but I waited an hour and twenty minutes and know one came to take me to the motel. So I finally was shelled back to the gate , cause I was not able to stay there any longer cause I wouldn't ha e have had much time to be in the m politely be for having to Came back to the airport port. . Should have been in Las Vegas Wednesday night did get there till the next day . I spent a very UN comfortable night at the airport."

I was going to take the Alaska Airline to go to Vancouver, but I couldn't board the flight because I didn't have a visa for Cannada. You should notice me if I need the visa or not when I booked this flight. Because of this, I should change the flight which took extra charge. Moreover, I lost my baggage between this situation."

Pros: "Even though we were in the very back row, we did not experience a foul smell from the restrooms. This was a very nice relief. It is bad enough that the seats don't recline and there is no window in the very back row but prior experience with the added nausea of foul restroom order has been a serious insult to injury. In this case there was really minimal odor. Also since we are traveling as a family we are very happy that we were seated together. We have experienced the past that sometimes our seats will be fragmented and that creates major challenges when you are traveling with young children. However on this particular flight the ride was rough during both takeoff and landing, a lot of side to side shimmy. Also the cabin pressure varied quite a bit during landing causing all the kids to complain about some discomfort in their ears."

When she showed up, she said she would not give seat assignments for another 15 minutes, so come back then. When I came back she said she wasn't giving seat assignments; go see the person checking in boarding passengers at the gate. That agent said she couldn't give me a seat, but watch the monitor for my name for seat assignments, then come back. Why couldn't the first gate agent say that instead of giving me the runaround and wasting my time???"

It is nice that you can play movies for free over WiFi on your phone or tablet (since the in-seat system simply didn't work...), but, bizarrely, the WiFi movie selection was different from (and substantially smaller than) the seat movie selection. What's that about? And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

The WiFi was very sporadic and didn’t work for the majority of the trip.. which I wasted 900 miles on. Not impressed this time around."

We didn't see that much of professionalism on United employees. At one point one of the employees told us to go back to Air Canada counter and I thought she was not trained properly."

Cons: "Luggage lost or left in Chicago with meds including insulin, had to stay in motel in Portland, ME to wait for morning flight. Hope luggage is on that flight. He needed his meds and only wanted to help when they said there was too much baggage. Mr. Perrin had only one carrying with everything in it. The flight itself was fine and he had good aisle seats and wheelchair at all points, but the lost luggage with the important meds caused a problem. We hope United found it."

During boarding, airline agent told me my one allowable carry-on item had to be checked because of limited space in overhead bins. Upon boarding the plane, there was clearly room for more luggage to be stored overhead. One flight crew member served complimentary beverages by serving the entire can. The other served by pouring only some of the can into a cup. Again, this does not meet industry standards, from the perspective of a reasonably well-traveled flier."

That was after not noticing issues with the plane until after waiting for late passengers and taxiing out. We arrived 4hrs late for a 3hr flight. They also only had one agent to rebook flights and assign hotels at the end even though they had hours to know the connections would be missed."
