Cons: "It seems amazing to me that BA will leave 50 First and Business Class passengers standing in line while they pre-board "families with young children". Some of the families had children who were 7 or 8 years old and certainly had no need for pre-boarding; its just an opportunistic way of jumping the queue. Similarly, some of the "elderly" passengers who claim to need pre-boarding on departure spring to their feet and dash down the aisle on arrival. Air Canada boards Business Class first on this same route; I'm going to migrate back to them, as virtually everything else on the two flights is comparable."

Now , after my return, I contact the BRITISH AIRWAY,and the reception lady was very helpful, eventually found out their system had a problem that day,so now she promised to refund me."

Cons: "Boarding was troublesome due to the fact the person made an error and changed my seat that I had already reserved. I noticed this while walking to the gate and then informed the person at the desk. After some time they determined the error happened at check in and she then returned me to the original booked seat. While in the flight, the lady behind me kept kicking my seat and complaining that I should not have the seat leaning back. Of course this is a fully acceptable function of flying in that the seat can be tilted back when not having food - the crew did not help at all and I was forced to fly the whole time with soon being rude behind me."

The design of the bathrooms, however, was problematic. The sink water faucets splashed water outside the sink and by the end of the flight there were huge puddles of water on the floor. It was also difficult for the flight attendants to navigate their beverage and meal carts around the people waiting in line for the bathrooms."

According to the information I received from the attendants at the gate, maintenance knew the airplane had issues but no communication until the flight began to get delayed was given. I had an adequate layover (3+ hours) so I didn't worry until it eroded away to the point where I could not make my connection."

The entertainment system wasn’t working for me for a paid seat and unfortunately they also couldn’t turn it off completely until half of my journey and finally they covered the monitors with blankets to stop the light so that we were able to sleep just for 3 hours out of 15 hour journey. Again this is for a paid seat and they proudly say it’s the same issue for atleast 40% of the seats"

In my case I had some extra weight in my bags since I was carrying my work laptop and personal laptop with me. They didn't let me board until I talk to Manager. I wanted to file a complaint regarding it. Both my checking bags had less then 23Kg. No one at the checking told me to weigh my carryon bags. If they would have told me at that time I could have transferred my stuff. This was first and last time I was flying from Air India. I will tell all my friends and family members not to fly with Air India. TV monitor was not working in my whole flight. Even the next seat passenger had the same issues. My worst experience on any international carrier to date. On my earlier flight from JKF to DEL on 2/25/17, the experience and frustration was the same - the same assessment."

Food choices and quality of non-Indian food was bad. Wine is only Indian, which is best case a 6 on 10 quality. If the timing of the flight wasn't so convenient and the ticket wasn't cheaper than the competition, I wouldn't fly Air India. For a 25% cheaper fare (at least in Business Class), I can deal with poor quality."
