Cons: "The boarding organization and food service for a long flight"
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Again, no food/snacks."
Pros: "It was on time departure, boarding was seemless. This country is so beautiful, 10 days were not enough, so we decided to go back there again in future."
Cons: "Since it was 6 hr flight at dinner time, airline should provide either sandwiches or food trays, not just free water or coffee. In order to promote tourism, national airlines (Iceland air) should give some incentives to travellers."
Pros: "Crew were pleasant but with such cramped seating, no food, and no sceen working this is definitely a budget flight."
Cons: "Schedule seems to mean there is always a shortage of time to make connections."
Pros: "Great crew friendly and helpful."
Pros: "Canadian Airlines and Airports could learn from the business model of IslandAir."
Cons: "Taking off & landing"
Pros: "I was able to get from Iceland to Toronto, so essentially they were able to fly the plane."
Cons: "I have been flying many different airlines for many years and have a decade plus of travel experience, so this negative review is something I’ve hardly ever done as some background. We left over an hour late to start off with. They took 1.5 hours to offload our luggage. Avoid at all costs."
Pros: "The crew always friendly"
Pros: "Early arrival"
Cons: "Long walk in Toronto airport to leave"
Pros: "the time went really fast"
Cons: "somewhere on the itinerary clearly that food is not included in the ticket"
Pros: "Crew provided enough water and soft drinks."
Cons: "They make you check your carryon bag and charge $64 For it.That’s a rip-off. Seats were not comfortable."
Pros: "Great entertainment options on the plane, very clean plane"
Cons: "It was much too hot on the plane."
Pros: "Same as other comment"
Cons: "Same as other comment"
Pros: "Everything."
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Friendly crew, comfortable seats, good cabin climate, good selection of movies to watch. Although there was a delay in boarding, we did still leave on time."
Cons: "Slow, delayed boarding, with bus to the plane and stair walk up."
Pros: "Comfort was good because we paid an extra $45 for more leg room and we had an empty seat in our row."
Cons: "see comments above, Crew served beverages once and did not pick up trash at end of trip till asked. We have travelled quite a bit internationally and expected more out of an airline. Have booked two flights to Europe next year with other airlines."
Pros: "The plane and crew are great!"
Cons: "A bit disorganized with boarding is my only complaint."
Pros: "Excellent entertainment and good comfort"
Cons: "Boarding time, long and not orderly. No complimentary snacks on a 6 hour flight?"
Pros: "cleanliness and attitude of the crew were aweomse"
Cons: "video screen should include games to pass the time"
Pros: "Efficient, not too uncomfortable. I would fly them again."
Cons: "Food - not enough choices and very little that could be a "meal." I was on a long flight from Europe, was very hungry and wanted a real meal. Also, on European flights, you would think SOME offerings would be included (but they were not!)."
Cons: "I can deal with everything else but the staff members were absolutely rude and unhelpful"
Pros: "Comfortable seats, great and smooth fight"
Pros: "Pre checkin and seat selection"
Cons: "In Iceland the gates to board are so close together it was jam packed with caos no one knew which line was for what gate... just hoped you were in right line for the gate you had to transfer from"
Pros: "The staff is very friendly on board and the overall flight was very pleasant."
Cons: "Boarding in Reykjavik was slow and very congested."
Pros: "Leg room and service. Entertainment system is excellent!"
Cons: "I liked it all"
Cons: "No snacks and I asked for headphones, but flight attendant forgot about me."
Pros: "Water bottle given while boarding, friendly crew"
Cons: "Had to purchase food no free pretzels or anything like that, but the food was delicious"
Cons: "Having to pay for food when it's only sandwiches and snacks. Boarding crowded, should be by rows."
Cons: "They wouldn't help with rescheduling or refunding. They said they could charge me over twice what the ticket cost to change it. Not helpful or sympathetic at all. Sometimes it's nice to be human with human emotions."
Pros: "Efficent crew and flight on time"
Cons: "It's my understanding that Iceland Air has WOW! airlines as their budget entry. However, Iceland Air has no free food/snacks for a flight that is 6 hours long. So what more do they take away from the customer for the WOW flights? They should at least offer snacks on a flight/airline that is not advertised or priced as a budget flight"
Pros: "Legroom is quite good"
Cons: "Baggage drop-off badly indicated (or was not available?) in Reykjavik, so we had to wait a long line with people who did not do their check-in at the automated counters. Not efficient at all."
Pros: "Being handed a bottle of water on boarding was nice, and the crew on the plane was very friendly"
Cons: "We knew you had to pay for meals ahead of time if you wanted them, however Iceland Air doesn't even provide snacks on their flights. This was unknown prior to the flight. Luckily we had snacks with us, but for someone who might not, that would be a long flight especially the day flight on the way back. Additionally, my luggage got left in Iceland on the way back to Toronto, and the desk agent in Toronto for Iceland Air could not have been less helpful."
Pros: "Air Canada found a spot for us, great flight and service."
Pros: "Crew was kind and accommodating. Boarding was quick and organized. Great amount of leg room."
Cons: "Very disappointed that no food was served during the 5 hour flight from Reykjavik to Toronto. We had to pay 8 euro for a less than pleasant sandwich! Having to pay for food (even a snack!) was very surprising considering the length of the flight and that other airlines give out at least a small sandwich. I had a two hour connection flight with another airline and they offered a sandwich and granola bar, so for a 5 hour flight I assumed we would receive at least something small- nope!"
Pros: "Nice food roomy seats nice people"
Cons: "The gate changed and I heard no announcement of it. Received incorrect information from uniformed employees when signs were not found about the flight at the wrong gate..There was no waiting area for my flight, only a line. We were bussed to a remote area of the field to board our flight from the tarmac. The flight was late in leaving. Crew was nice once we were on board, good plane. Cold in row 19, boiling hot near forward lavatories. Stressful, horrible experience."
Pros: "I love Icelandair's stopover option. Fares and flight staff are great."
Cons: "Reykjavik airport gate area is terrible - not enough seats and chaotic boarding process with buses."
Pros: "Crew were very courteous and helpful. Plane was clean, and seemed newer. Seats were comfortable in a 3-3 configuration but as usual space was still tight in economy class."
Cons: "Boarding seemed a little chaotic and it was very crowded. Not enough seating for the number of people who were travelling at the gate at Keflavik."
Pros: "The entertainment system was current and had great selection. I liked that they gave you a water upon boarding."
Cons: "KEF is not equipped for their sudden volume in the airport: seating, food service, line formation, departure formations. All are a mess. There were literally 500 people in line for four different flights in the same corridor departing in a 15 minute window. Plus riding a bus where the doctor was slamming the breaks while squeezing out of a tight spot, with passengers almost falling. Unacceptable. We were like cattle."
Pros: "Greenland. Always get a window seat. Fantastic."
Cons: "I had to run from my incoming flight to the gate because they were "boarding". But they held us in a waiting room and then loaded on a bus in the rain (just above zero temp). There we stood on the bus for 25 minutes with no explanation of the delay. Finally out to the plane where we had to line up in the rain and blistering winds to get on the plane. Ruined my leather jacket."
Pros: "Fast service onboard. so many flight attendants!!"
Cons: "Some menu items weren't carried on this flight. Oh yeah - as I peep at reviews below - Reykjavik airport is super chaotic around departure gates. Probably wasn't built to accommodate the masses and endless international connections. The backlog of travelers is likely caused by another carrier who is known for delayed departures and arrivals."
Pros: "Timely service; being able to fly to Europe from North America with a break. Unbeatable price."
Cons: "Keflavik airport can't handle Icelandair and Wow traffic, and the boarding process was a "cattle rustle""
Pros: "The bottles of water, friendly staff, entertainment selections, and the aurora borealis lighting."
Cons: "A little crammed seating in economy."
Cons: "I understand that businesses must expand, and that is no different with the Keflavik airport. In routing passengers through the airport, there were listings for Canada/UK, and US/All Passengers. It was unclear whether this signage was meant for "flights" or "passport." It was actually for "flights" meaning, if you are taking a flight to Canada, use this line; for US flights, use that line. However, many people, myself included, mistakenly assumed that the signage was meant for passports, in other words, US passport holders use this line; Canada/UK passport holders, use that line."
Pros: "Saga club was clean and fairly good."
Cons: "Inflight food was not good. Business class leg room was kind of tight"
Pros: "Courteous stewards on board."
Cons: "This was a 5 hour international flight. The only food offered for free was a glass of juice or tea/coffee. I've never had this happen on an international flight!"
Pros: "(The same evaluation applies to this flight as to the previous flight from Brussels.)"
Cons: "We paid for premium comfort seating which translated into a three seat row with the middle seat empty. No priority seating. No access to lounge. Entertainment system not working, but no recent movies anyway. Would not fly Icelandair again"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Crew amazing yes. Seat comfortable."
Cons: "None for now!"
Pros: "Somewhat"
Cons: "Food"
Pros: "We took the offer of putting cabin baggage in hold. Some of those that retained theirs had "oversized" bags that should have been taken from them at the steps of the plane. As this did not happen there were a lot of problems including the problem of opening the lockers"
Cons: "Stricter control on cabin bags. The result was that our bags were already on the belt when we got to customs area"
Pros: "Nothing. I was offloaded minutes before boarding by BA without any explanations. The staff was not helpful in any way. BA is suggesting either non recept of payment or credit card fraud. Both reasons are totally bogus."
Cons: "Proper communication by both BA and local handlers at the airport in Iceland."
Pros: "The crew were all nice."
Cons: "Aircraft VERY aged--NO charging ports?! Entertainment screens tiny and old touch screen interface, slow to respond. Remote control on arm rest=accidental volume changes and such. Do NOT get the veggie pasta, it's terrible. Overhead bins do not hold large bags correctly."
Pros: "The crew was very helpful. Made sure I was comfortable."
Pros: "Everything was as you would expect from BA"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "The free drinks."
Cons: "The stink of curry throughout the plane and the other choices of meal being gluten laden pasta and gluten laden crackers, muffins, and bread for breakfast. I am very glad I ate in SFO before leaving or I’d have been starving by the time e arrived in LHR."
Pros: "Attentive service by flight attendants"
Pros: "I liked that the seats were very comfortable and had enough space."
Cons: "I didn’t like that I had to go through security twice once upon arrival and once in London. i also wish I would have booked a different airline so I could have had a direct flight. That wasn’t a problem with this airline though, just my negligence with research."
Pros: "Crew member was especially gentle, kind and resourceful. She gave toys to small upset child sitting across the isle from us. Child became calm."
Cons: "Timing of the meals. Would rather have slept after take off and had a substantial breakfast before landing."
Cons: "Flight was diverted for 4 hours due to thunderstorm in Toronto"
Pros: "The flight was delayed prior to leaving the gate, while lined up to take off and during the flight. All delays were promptly explained by members of the flight deck. The cabin crew were outstanding nothing seemed to be too much of a inconvenience to them."
Pros: "Nice professional crew"
Pros: "The crew was very nice"
Cons: "The seats are not too comfortable"
Pros: "Plenty food. Very well looked after by the crew. Lots of good movies."
Cons: "Some of the screens had a scratches on them."
Pros: "Food and service great"
Pros: "British Airways has definitely got their act together it was a brilliant flight and the service was excellent it was a pleasure to see."
Cons: "Most passengers had to pay for any food even water. No plugs at the seats."
Pros: "It got me where I needed to be with a reasonable seat. I got a arrival card from the flight attendants."
Cons: "The boarding process was not very clear because we were away for the first announcement and then no more details were provided that we heard, so we just got in line. It seemed like nothing was free on board, including water but I could be wrong. If there was free stuff, it was not clear, which is annoying. They gave me an arrival card, but no pen or pencil or anything to write with."
Cons: "The plane was actually about to fly off when it suddenly skidded to a stop. We weren't informed about the reason, but all of a sudden, the plane couldn't take off for over two hours. My family and I ended up missing our connecting flight home. BA tried compensating with food vouchers and rebooking us onto another flight, but our family got split up in the process and we were all assigned to different middle seats."
Pros: "Nice crew"
Pros: "food was excellent ... service is always top notch"
Pros: "Mediocre experience on the ground; much better in the air -- competent, pleasant cabin crew."
Cons: "It seems amazing to me that BA will leave 50 First and Business Class passengers standing in line while they pre-board "families with young children". Some of the families had children who were 7 or 8 years old and certainly had no need for pre-boarding; its just an opportunistic way of jumping the queue. Similarly, some of the "elderly" passengers who claim to need pre-boarding on departure spring to their feet and dash down the aisle on arrival. Air Canada boards Business Class first on this same route; I'm going to migrate back to them, as virtually everything else on the two flights is comparable."
Pros: "Only wish they would've put me on the direct flight"
Cons: "The transfer was a pain. Signage at Toronto Airport is non existent. I had to stop and ask people which way to go 3 times"
Cons: "No WIFI"
Pros: "Food, Movies Staff Treatment Aircraft: B787...quiet, new and clean Heathrow Terminal 5"
Pros: "Crew were extremely kind and professional. Snacks were plentiful."
Cons: "Lavatories were atrocious. There was splatter and stickiness all over the lavatory even before take off. Was quite gross and dangerous in terms of public health. Especially in a dangerous flu epidemic season."
Pros: "Very nice and comfortable"
Pros: "Boarding was seamless and straightforward"
Cons: "Crew - Mostly men that looked like they hated their jobs. They were mostly unfriendly, and getting any of them to crack a smile was like pulling teeth."
Cons: "The screen was pretty big but quality pretty bad. Looked like 80s CRT. Also bad selection. Luckily it was a red eye flight."
Pros: "Very good Premium Economy service. Comfortable seats and good food."
Cons: "Noise (crying babies) from the Economy section. Delay in departure."
Cons: "I thought the seats we were not comfortable"
Cons: "Couldn't take the flight because I was not allowed to check a bag. No mention of this was made when I booked."
Pros: "Good documentary films to choose from to pass time."
Pros: "Flight attendants were to top in the industry. Caring and caring. They are the face of your airline. Give them the right tools, they function well. I could not have been treated better as a Frequent traveler."
Cons: "Reservation process online does not show you that you are buying a bullshit Business Class seat. You pay a premium for Business class and granted, the meal was great, something the Coach class did not get BUT they should tell you when booking that that you are sitting in coach with a table blocking the middle seat, not truly a Business class seat. Dumb down your operations but don't insult your customers. Tell them what they are getting when booking a bus type business class seat. Worst business practice ever, driven by European style of travel BUT call it premium economy, not BUSINESS."
Cons: "Food was dry for dinner and not very tasty. Breakfast was terrible"
Cons: "Disorg"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and roomy."
Pros: "Nothing. British Airways refused to help us"
Cons: "Took over two hours on the phone to try and get rebooked. Missed the last flight out of the night due to incompetence. British Airways desk check in staff was so rude, wouldn't even talk to us. Thank goodness for the helpful Air Canada grind crew in Toronto."
Pros: "Flew with partner Aer Lingus. Extremely comfortable, good food, good entertainment, great crew."
Pros: "Safe on almost on time trip"
Cons: "Checking in at Reykjavic was slow and crowded"
Pros: "The entertainment controls give many options which is nice to help pass the time."
Cons: "The attendants were not as helpful as I thought they should have been and actually were a bit unpleasant."
Pros: "great service - flight was smooth takeoff and landing"
Pros: "My screen worked and there was a good selection of movies. I also had a window seat which was great. Any seat except the middle, is always great."
Cons: "No vegetarian options."
Pros: "Fabulous experience on every level"
Pros: "That you could watch movies and shows from the headrest, very helpful to pass the time. They fed us a lot (very salty) and were very nice."
Cons: "I was in the back in the cheap seats (row 50) with a friend, we are both small to regular size and the guy seated in the aisle seat was very small and it was still difficult to get up and around each other to use the restroom. Oh well I paid $462 for round trip and arrived safely, that's what matters most."
Pros: "I got upgraded which was a huge bonus and the staff were great and attentive."
Pros: "Food was ok - rest was terrible."
Cons: "Boarding was troublesome due to the fact the person made an error and changed my seat that I had already reserved. I noticed this while walking to the gate and then informed the person at the desk. After some time they determined the error happened at check in and she then returned me to the original booked seat. While in the flight, the lady behind me kept kicking my seat and complaining that I should not have the seat leaning back. Of course this is a fully acceptable function of flying in that the seat can be tilted back when not having food - the crew did not help at all and I was forced to fly the whole time with soon being rude behind me."
Pros: "Boarding process and customer service"
Cons: "Food could have been better and seating comfort"
Pros: "The crew were friendly."
Cons: "The crew did the best they could but the plane had two equipment malfunctions resulting in a 1.5 hr delay. After the first one resolved, we were inches away from takeoff when the captain came on to tell us something went wrong and we would need to be towed back to the terminal. After waiting for the ground crew to come rescue us, we started pushing backwards but then forwards again. Captain came on and said the problem was fixed. Once we landed at Toronto Pearson from Mexico City, there were no available gates. The movies see election available through streaming on Air Canada Rouge had fewer movies and shows than the tablet you could rent from the airline."
Pros: "Zone boarding"
Cons: "Very hot terminal quite sweaty"
Cons: "i got to the airport 2.5 hours befor my flight to play it safe and waited at the check in for about a hour befor a air canada employe even showed up. vary poor service on the airlines part i will never fly with air canada again."
Pros: "NOTHING"
Cons: "Customer service, boarding, check in desk, LITERALLY EVERYTHING WAS 3rd CLASS WILL NEVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE EVER AGAIN EVEN IF THE TICKE IS FREE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE"
Pros: "Entertainment unit and comfort were standard 5/5 for both"
Cons: "Boarding a massive 777 is difficult but some how other airlines do it smoother. Not sure how boarding 3 zones at once makes sense, which created a long que. Plus a delayed plane didn’t help the matter Unnecessary comments by one crew member while passengers were putting away their luggage were over heard and provided no value to the situations. Cup of noodles and a 3 tiny pieces of beef plate were provided for dinner which was very disappointing. While a typical egg breakfast and snack were also provided. Hot beverages were generally not served due to turbulence and water service during the 12hr flight was minimal."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Service"
Cons: "Why did I have to pay to select my seat? Isn't that the point of purchasing a seat at all? Silly."
Pros: "Flight attendants friendly"
Cons: "Food was not as good time"
Cons: "No food for an international flight"
Pros: "Crew very friendly. In-flight refreshments & Entertainment provided."
Cons: "Cramp seats."
Pros: "Air Canada has one of the best buy on board menu's of any North American carrier. They even allow you to purchase Business Class meals (subject to availability of course). Flying on the older 767-300ER also has more shoulder and leg room than some of Air Canada's newer configurations for the 787 and 777."
Cons: "Air Canada's boarding process is a bit frustrating. On American Airlines and United Flight attendants make announcements over the PA to (a) step out of the aisle to let people pass, and (b) place larger suitcases in the overhead and smaller bags under the seat. That way they try to ensure there is enough bin space to accommodate everyone. Passengers on Air Canada stuff everything in to the overhead bin and nothing under their seat, leaving little for those boarding after and delaying the flight because flight attendants are looking for bin space. If they were more pro-active, it would speed things up."
Cons: "In the past Air Canada has been great. This past experience makes me never want to fly again. In-flight entertainment is the worst I have ever experienced on an international airline. Entertainment options were very limited, and it didn't work for most of the flight (crew tried resetting the system, to no avail). Crew were inattentive and seemed more focused on hanging out in the back of the airplane socializing with each other. Food was terrible, and I am generally pretty easily pleased when it comes to food. Return flight was delayed twice without any announcements or explanations in the boarding area. Flights were completely full and airplanes were old and uncomfortable. This flight was cheap for a reason. Pay the extra amount and fly another airline."
Pros: "At least you get a drink and small snack on a 5+ hour flight."
Cons: "Air Canada Rouge is cramped, uncomfortable, and run poorly. The only bright spot on this flight was the captain who got out of the cockpit and loaded our luggage himself when it was apparent after an hour and a half that the ground crew was not going to do it."
Pros: "Your customers are nicer than your staff."
Cons: "Firstly I will start with the lack of service we provided when trying to get seats together after checking in online. We rang and were told to try at the airport counter. Then at the airport counter we were told to try at the gate and then at the gate when I went to ask I was told to go get both tickets before they told us that there was no 2 seats together anyway rather than looking first. All whilst explaining this was our honeymoon and we would really like to sit together as husband and wife. Then once we boarded the guy sitting next to me was happy to swap seats with my wife as he had back problems and had asked for an aisle seat but was denied. Finally we are underway and I find that my entertainment touch screen doesn't work so even though it is one i can't select anything to watch. Plus to top it off the seat arm rest was broken. Obviously with a fairly full flight with no 2 seats together their wasn't much that could be done immediately but where is the maintenance and actual physical plane quality? Do your engineers or staff not check things? Overall dispite this being our national carrier I am ashamed to claim that. Many of our overseas visitors for the wedding from Australia and Europe also had similar complaints."
Cons: "Previous flight got delayed and Air Canada did everything possible to prevent me from taking my first available connecting flight. They always prefer that we wait!"
Pros: "There was nothing outstanding on this flight."
Cons: "We were delayed on boarding, they changed the gate number a number of times... it was all very disorganized. Both flights to and from LAX were delayed hours so they had to give us a voucher for 15% off our next flight."
Pros: "The crew were very nice and a pleasure to have on board"
Cons: "Everything else. No entertainment unless you download their app, food is lower quality, and there was over 4 hours delay in departing! Never flying again with A.C. Rouge"
Pros: "The flight crew, the price and the bags arrived."
Cons: "While the flight crew was great, the rest of the employees on the Toronto side were awful. Our plane was delayed from Dublin so most of the plane missed their connecting flight. Once off the plane they only had 2 people working rebooking and 2 working bag issues even though there was plenty employees around. After an incredibly long line, the gate agent was very rude. He barely acknowledged me, wouldn't look at me and just shoved my new ticket at me and said next. I tried to talk to another while waiting an extra 4hrs for my next flight and all she did was shove a business card with numbers and said if I had a problem to call one of those numbers and then rolled her eyes and started talking to her friends again. I saw another couple from my flight being passed around and getting rude treatment as well. Another I talked to said they will never fly Air Canada again. I know it wasn't their fault our flight was late but a little compassion and good customer service goes a long way. I had to spend $15 on dinner that I wouldn't if I had made my flight but they gave another couple from my flight $10 vouchers for food. So inconsistent! I also paid $100 extra on my ticket to sit closer to the front of the plane since I knew I had a short layover (which didn't make a difference) but they just gave the same seat to the girl next to me for the same reason. When I asked for a refund on the seat cost they just blew me off. To sum it up, the flight crew was great and very friendly but all the ground employees were awful and really need to improve on their customer service skills."
Pros: "put us up in decent hotels gave food vouchers the crew didn't do anything to make it horrible Large selection of movies/tv on board comfiest seats out of all the major airlines I've flown"
Cons: "The flight kept getting delayed bc of mechanical problems, and then eventually cancelled. They rebooked everyone on new flights, but it took an extra stop in Toronto before getting us to Montreal. Once it was rebooked for the morning, it took off a little late. Plus the pretzels they gave us were stale. This was the first of two flights I took this trip that had mechanical issues, so they obviously need to fix their planes better or get new ones, because two Air Canada flights in one day that have mechanical problems leaves me worried that the planes aren't in optimal condition. It took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to Montreal, Canada when normal travel takes less than 8 hours including layovers."
Pros: "That at least, the plane eventually did take off and landed safely."
Cons: "Fly time each way from NY to Toronto is approx an hour but they added an extra hour of a delay going and and an hour and a half delay further on the flight back home."
Pros: "Service was kind."
Cons: "We sat on the plane for over an hour before take-off and were therefore late arriving in Toronto. Economy seats were cramped, as expected, and there were children screaming most of the flight. Food was pretty awful."
Pros: "Onboard attendants were pleasant"
Cons: "No apology for lateness, flight boarded late, took off 40 min late, arrived 35 minutes late but we sat at gate waiting for someone to open it ?!, then another 15 min before bags started to unload Ridiculous but indicative of airlines You are not their valued guest or even their customer, you are a problem that needs to be solved and are consequently met with preloaded annoyance and a readiness to dismiss, placate at the best of times but definitely not please, impress, sympathize or satisfy. There is no evidence that it's even in their lexicon- not a part of their recruitment or selection process or training, ever! They're main focus and only positivity is saved for themselves. There may be a long line of concerned and anxious travelers but their priority is getting coffees for the battle ahead! They break their focused indifference only for each other and enthusiastically leave their post to satisfy each other's needs and attention. This has got to change! Why do we put up with such awful service for which we are the paying customer? Why are we, their customers, not valued? This airline makes record profits, provides less, charges for everything and increasingly delivers bad service, sometimes offensively bad! It doesn't cost more to hire a customer centric pleasant person, or incorporate guest experience into training or at the very least be friendly and smile! What if an airline just did that?! They'd differentiate themselves and develop a positive customer centered culture. Don't we deserve that, at the very least?!"
Cons: "At least snacks could have been given..."
Pros: "On time clean"
Pros: "It was okay, but I feel no one really cares anymore it is just a Job....... on my flight from Canada to Florida on Feb 8 th it was a horrible experience. We were almost 4 hours late due to no crew or pilots. This is my last time flying with Air Canada. Way to much stress for people who have so much stress in there everyday lives. This should be a no stress way to fly. Just sayin"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "We were very unhappy that the flight was delayed by 35 minutes in Munich causing us to miss our connecting flight by 15 minutes… We only had an hour to get through customs and get to our next flight that should've been accounted for by kayak"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Airline oversold seats for my son's flight -- even though I bought my ticket back in April for a flight in November. This is absolutely ridiculous."
Pros: "On-time and quick boarding."
Cons: "Not enough leg room - similar to most airlines."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "It's on time"
Cons: "."
Pros: "Video monitor did not work on ATL YYZ leg"
Cons: "horrible"
Pros: "Service on the flight is always good and the transfer in Toronto was seamless."
Cons: "The departure area in Boston is dreadful. no room and no amenities. Straight out of the 60's."
Pros: "Friendly staff. Good entertainment (TV, movies, etc). Good, plentiful food and drink."
Pros: "The staff were friendly even though the flight was completely full"
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "This was an overnight flight and we had our seats changed to the back row without being told. The seats would not recline and when the seats in front of us reclined for the entire flight, the screen and chair were about a foot from our faces. This was hands down the worst flight I have ever had. The flight crew Wulf not move us as the flight was full, and despite there being more than half of the first class seats available, they would not let us sit there. I will likely not fly air canada again given this experience."
Pros: "The Seat"
Cons: "The fact that no food was planned for a flight around noon."
Pros: "I liked how you had movies to watch although they were outdated. The bathrooms were okay."
Cons: "You have to download an entertainment app and if no one tells you to then you are screwed. The food was awful, like baby food for adults. The chairs need to be able to move back more. The flight delays are just wrong."
Cons: "The food was the worst. Did not feel it was even edible. For an 11 hour international flight there were zero amenities. If you wanted to watch a movie, you had to pay $10 per person for an iPad. You could not even use your own & link to their wifi unless you are in their earned points program."
Pros: "People were nice wHen airline made them available to us. But business lounge, special services, and other services were not available in Toronto when we wanted them."
Cons: "Connecting flight was repeatedly delayed. Then finally cancelled because no crew was provided by the airline. Since this was only announced so late - after midnight - hotel rooms were no longer available we had to try to sleep on the floor in the departure hall. Maybe ok for 20 year old travelers. Not for 75 year olds like me who paid business class fare so as to hopefully avoid some of the rigors of travel. I managed to catch up on some sleep the next day in the business lounge while eating for my rescheduled connection. Still it has taken an additional period to physically recover from this experience."
Pros: "Everyone was very courteous to us. Very little turbulence on trip. Flying is very easy today more than Even 5 years ago. I will fly again on Air Canada"
Cons: "Small basic meals"
Pros: "In-flight entertainment and service was great. The Toronto airport waiting area was also good."
Cons: "The luggage drop line was terrible. Only few stations were open and they worked incredibly slow. At the Toronto airport, we were made to fill up customs forms even though we were set for international transfers. None of the questions on the form made any sense since we were not entering Canada but rather leaving for other international destinations. Because of this formality, we had to pass another line which took another 30 minutes. Furthermore, they denied me at the counter because my original check in crew was unable to print my second boarding pass for some technical reason. But, there was noone at the customer service desk to print a boarding pass for me. I had to wait another twenty minutes just for this! All of this happened in a "neverland" section of the airport that didn't even have any restrooms! This could really turn into a nightmare scenario."
Pros: "I liked the choice of movies."
Cons: "One of the flight attendants, Pasquale, was very brusque."
Pros: "Attendant was nice"
Cons: "run down cabin"
Cons: "The aid line lost one bag of mine, should have back today..."
Pros: "Free wifi in airport, easy boarding and disembarking"
Cons: "Limited movies on wifi, limited sandwiches"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Air Canada service"
Cons: "While checking in online for the boarding pass I was asked for information like my nationality, residence, passport number, but yet I wasn't informed that I would be needing a transit visa to take a connecting flight from Toronto. I was issued a boarding pass and assigned a seat on the plane. But when I went to board the flight I was not allowed to. I had to go back home with all my luggage and book another flight. No compensation of any kind was provided for the inconvenience and harassment that I had to go through. Not only did I not get any money back I also had to pay for another expensive ticket. I believe it is the airlines responsibility to ensure that the passenger doesn't miss such an important requirement such as the transit visa. They should have check points/pop up messages on their website during the booking of the ticket or during the issuance of the boarding pass that informs or at least directs the costumer to such specific and vital requirements. When I fly by Air France they always direct me to a page that helps me locate the requirements to travel through a country. No such thing was there on Air Canada's website. This was the first time I was flying with Air Canada, but thanks to them I never did. And now I never will."
