Top tips for finding cheap flights to Chile

  • Morning departure is around 3% more expensive than an evening flight, on average*.
  • Based on on the airline you choose, your trip from Toronto to Chile will either make one stop or two stops. If you decide on Copa Airlines, for instance, your aircraft will leave from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYC) and stop somewhere on the way before landing in Chile. United Carriers, on the other hand, is better renowned among the airlines that fly from Toronto to Chile via two stops.
  • Santiago de Chile Airport (SCL) and Punta Arenas Airport are the main Chilean airports for flights from Toronto (PUQ). Booking flights with SCL as the arrival airport has the advantage of allowing you to land in Chile's largest city. Finding suitable hotels or rental homes and a means of transportation to get to other cities is easier.
  • Compared to landing at SCL, landing in PUQ has a number of benefits. For instance, there will never be a long line at the bus stops or the baggage claim area. Additionally, if PUQ serves as the airport of arrival, your chances of finding less priced flight options increase.
  • If your flight from Toronto to Chile is scheduled to land at Santiago de Chile Airport late at night, you don’t have to panic. In the main arrival area of the airport, there are sleeping places where late-night visitors can stay the night before continuing their journey the next morning.
  • There is nothing to worry about for pet owners travelling from Toronto to Chile. After security at YYZ, pets may relieve themselves at the pet relief area located in Terminals 1 and 3. After they have landed at PUQ, they can take their pets to the pet relief area in Terminal 4, Concourse D.

Horrible. This was not first class. This was a connecting flight whi h was late. My original flight never came. I hated the fact that delta gave me a connecting flight from New York to Orlando Florida. No meals and the television screens were not working. There wasn't even any power to charge your phones. Horrible. This was not first class. This was a connecting flight whi h was late. My original flight never came. I hated the fact that delta gave me a connecting flight from New York to Orlando Florida. No meals and the television screens were not working. There wasn't even any power to charge your phones. It was a Red-Eye flight so was not comfortable enough to sleep, but seat was as expected. Crew was great and in-flight entertainment was excellent. Flight was smooth

I had a great travel experience as there weren't any delays and I was able to get to Mexico City on time for conference.

Bag drop off was slow and annoying. Only 2 agents at the entire delta desk, and no one directing traffic for what line to be in, many confused people slowed down the process. Boarding was fine. Seats in Delta comfort plus were fine. Snacks were great! Definitely a bonus. The entertainment system was awful — old, slow, not responsive, and completely unable to play games due to some kind of error. But on the other hand, thank you to Delta for the free WiFi. That made it better.

I like using the Delta app to keep informed, boarding was smooth, and flight attendants were awesome and on top of everything, good communication from pilots.

Boarding super slow with people allowed to linger in aisles

Crew was not friendly when I went to request a seat change.

Aircraft very cramped. Check-in was great with an agent helping us. Food was almost non-existent. Pre-flight went well once I got the app reloaded on my phone since we don’t fly much anymore.

I received the two differed meals: chicken and pasta. I asked and I received. I am anti-wasting food!

Crew was wonderful, very professional and pleasant. On time performance. Excellent flights, smooth. Thank you!

TAM is a real disappointment. We had to jump on a crowded bus for a 6am flight - although there were at least 15 available fingers that could have been used by our plane. Then, we were placed on row 30 - the last row of the plane, despite having purchased the tickets a long time ago and being TAM gold plus members. Note: worse seats on the plane. Great way of rewarding your frequent flyers TAM ! I now remember why I stoped flying internationally with TAM and moved to American, United, Swiss, Lufthansa and BA. TAM has no respect for its customers.

I do not read or speak in Spanish. Only English. When asking for help, the people spoke quickly in English and pointed a lot. I wish they would’ve spoken a little slower for me to understand. There was much confusion and hurried in their message and I was unclear as to where to go

I didn't realize they didn't have bathrooms on the plane. Almost had a very bad situation.

Everything was as you would expect in coach - fine. Flight was close to on time.

It’s been some time since I saw the plane and the cabin that old and worn out.

I loved how polite the crew was even though some of them wasn't the best with English that they still done everything they could to help me with my needs food was amazing

Terrible They charged me 157$ for excess baggage even though my bags were within the normally accepted limits Flight was late. Service was poor. The snacks were really bad

Horrific checkin procedure with neither Delta nor Latam figuring out how to check me in. 4 hrs on customer support with both and both airlines pointing to each other who should do checking. I was not checked in until morning of flight, which for international flight is concerning.

We had 2 delayed LATAM flights in our trip. We were only given one coffee for 5 hours delay. Also when we were boarding the crew wanted to charge us for our allowed carry on luggage. I got a bit angry and they finally didn’t charge anything. Not flying with LATAM again.

Our yoga retreat was cancelled and besides not refunding is, they would not even let us change dates or locations. As a matter of fact they wouldn’t even talk to us and kept referring to the travel agent, who said they couldn’t change anything and it was up to the airline to do so. They passed the buck until it was too late to do anything about it. Avoid Latham and Budget Air for your travel plans.

The personal at the front desk in Manaos was awesome, I have never experience anything like that before, the person who attended me deserves to have a promotion I still remember him, very educated, kind but overall he could put himself on your position

GOL made the flight experience a true delight. Everything was smooth, from the check in process, to the disembarking moment.

There is no food. There is no in-inflight entertainment. The seats are cardboard. The airline is a living hellscape.

Delay almost an hour which meant when we got to Guatemala there where 3 flights at the same time, you can imagine the caos in customs, avianca doesn’t care about passengers or schedules

No complimentary food and beverage (water, soda, coffe) is offered for a six and a half hours long international flight, not even in premium economy, just to try to squeeze a few more dollars out of the passengers. Same happened in the connecting flight, which was three and a half hours long (Bogota x Miami). First and last time flying with Avianca.

Flight departure late. Got late in Colombia making us take a different flight next day. Avianca airport crew messed up my ticket so when a I got in Brazil I didn’t have a ticket for my destination. Had to buy a new ticket out of my pocket.

Pros: "But this time everything was organized"
Cons: "Put the same way that’s its right now each get out by groups"
Cons: "The food was really out of the Avianca standard. The quinoa “salad” was frozen. I asked the flight attendant and he told me it was supposed to be room temperature, but it was crystallized. Understand it was Ash Wednesday and no meat was serve (cheese quiche was ok)."
Pros: "Quick, easy and seemingly effortless. What more could I ask for?"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "Avianca is getting worse with the day, it used to be a really great airline, now it is become a mediocre one like the rest. Allowing less luggage and food is almost nothing compared to what they used to be. Also as always flights delayed"

It was good! Appreciated that it was very on schedule so it made the connecting flight less stressful

Two flights, both poor. No entertainment. Cramped and uncomfortable seats, little space, the rest was OK. Staff were acceptable good.

The crew was doing their best on an old plane needing updating. Chairs that creaked and wouldn’t stay in position. My tray table was unusable as was on-board entertainment due the audio needing usb earphones (that were not provided). Prior to boarding in Toronto and despite being scheduled for a wheelchair and assistance, we were dropped off by clubcar without a wheelchair which I found myself by a gate. Due to no boarding gate assigned at that time we waited and when it was, it subsequently was moved from 64 to 95. No help could be found so I pushed my husband’s chair to that furthest gate in the airport at the highest speed possible for a 73 year old. And by that I mean I ran. It was a very stressful experience.

Wifi wasn't working on one of the UA flights after boarding.

Leg room was lacking. Legs crammed into seat in front.

T hey did a great job. Flight was on time .

the plane was old. the wifi didn’t work. the entertainment was boring and dated. the charging ports were impossible to find. i was mostly ignored by flight attendants that had no problem speaking to the man beside me. i got two drinks the entire time i was on the plane.

Crew was not very helpful. They forgot to serve me coffee and had to wait for a long time.It looked as if they were not very happy with what they were doing.

The flight I was connecting with waited for me even though my 1st flight was late. I really appreciated that.

The seat is too hard and my back and bottom are having servers pain

Inexperienced crew. Food was so so. They lost my luggage on a direct flight. Was flying business so my luggage was priority. Not impressed.

I liked the early check in. Flight was a bit bumpy due yo weather. Overall, everything went well.

It was awful. For a 37 minute flight time,we had 1:30 hours delay. If someone had a connection flight he or she couldn’t reach for sure. The only positive point was online check in.

Limited snack options cause the snack vendor was on strike

The 6 hour delay with minimal updates was not handled well. After many complaints from most of the un-boarded passengers, food vouchers were offered. The catering strike meant there was no food or snacks on the plane. Beverage service was heavily impacted, only water or juice was available. The staff at the gate was kind enough to inform that "if you want to eat on the plane, you will need to bring it on when boarding".

It was an excellent experience, traveling from Toronto to Denver with United.

Ontime boarding. Almost 1 hour take off delay. We could have boarded slightly later since the pilots were in traffic

I go am isle seat because it was half empty Food strike no food available

Flight was delayed, jeopardizing the following connections. Food was terrible. Crew was great.

This was the first AC flight in a long time that we experienced no delays or frustrations. The gate attendant was extremely polite and accommodating to my husband who has Parkinson’s disease which made boarding extremely stress free. Flight departed ON TIME and was a smooth ride. If only all my AC experiences could be like this.
