Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."

There were only 2 customs agents!! One for all passports and 1 for all passports. We were in the customs hall longer than we were in flight!"

We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"

For Air Canada to cancel flights 2 times in a row without any further communications with any of us... To tell us when we'd be rebooked, how, etc. is horrible. I work in the transportation industry which is American based and we can handle this much better than Air Canada. Awful... Wendell/Gate Agent said he couldn't rebook my flight until the 31st, but when I got home I called air Canada and she was able to rebook me on the 30th with no issues. Nonsense. Wendell didn't care, he was tired, yawned in our faces like it was acceptable. Awful service. I'm flying with Air Canada on my way from India in the next couple of weeks I hope I get better service. Otherwise, completion will be my only option."

Cons: "From Toronto to London the price they charge is about the same as I pay from Toronto to Dubai using emirate or ettihad which is twice the distance. Toronto to London is a busy route so why charge such a high fare? Food. Be prepared for food that comes straight out of a cafeteria's frozen items. Entertainment. Slightly better than Turkish airline's which isn't an achievement by any means. Old aircrafts which don't have air vents. They really don't offer anything to you except charge you a lot for the busiest routes in the world. Try other airlines."

Cons: "Unless you knew ahead of time that the entertainment system was housed entirely in an app, you wouldn't know that you needed to have a smart phone or tablet on the flight and needed to download the app. A few people in our traveling party either didn't have a smart phone or tablet, or had trouble downloading the app while on the flight. Also, a few people had issues with the app freezing while in use. There was very little legroom between seats, resulting in an uncomfortable flight. We flew economy on our connecting flight, and the seats were much more comfortable. My reading light didn't work using my button, but it turned on & off during the flight like it might have been connected to someone else's button. There weren't individual air vents for passengers, so some of us were very hot and some were very cold."

Cons: "Connecting flights to/from the US are a challenge. Both times (coming and going) were significantly delayed, causing me to miss my outbound flight. While AirCanada did rebook, I ended up in a ridiculous process of having to claim my suitcase (even though it had been checked all the way to my final destination and I never intended to stay in Canada) which involved dealing with non- communicative staff who slowly located the bag, got me an escort into the baggage terminal and then send me through customers even though I was just trying to get the bag on the flight they rebooked me on. Whole process took 2.5 hours. My shuttle was late for my inbound trip and when I tried to check in (which was just slightly less than an hour before departure) they took my passport and just stood there. No communication about what was happening. Luckily, after about 10 minutes they did check me in but kind of unnerving not to know what was happening. Wish the staff were more available and more communicative."

Can't get ANY help on-line, and finally made a two hour long distance call from Istanbul to the Canadian "Help Desk," with most of that time on "hold." (Similar to my time on "hold" when making other calls there!) London Heathrow Air Canada service desk was a GREAT HELP, however - once we got there."

There were hours of wait and surely many international passengers came very close to missing their connections. The officers promised us that they will hold our connecting flights since they know we're already in the lines. However, be prepared for the stress of waiting in lines where there are not even restrooms."

Cons: "I was very unhappy at check in area, long queue to check in then at the baggage area I was told by a staff member to put the baggage onto the scales then lift it onto the conveyer belt I am a 74 year old senior and I had great difficulty doing this and I was very annoyed as the staff member watched me struggle but did not offer to help. A kind passanger assisted me. This was even more annoying as I had to pay $25:00 + tax for my case."

Pros: "Plane, (bathrooms) very clean, and crew was exceptional. Ample food and drinks were supplied. I also had more room this trip in Economy class, as one seat next to me was empty."

User interface of entertainment screens was slow and not helpful ( I have to click on each movie to even see the title? Terribly time consuming. ). Flight was in the middle of the day, but windows were darkened to make it look like night time almost the whole way. Why can't we control our own Windows?"
