It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!Reviewed 13 Apr. 2024

2 day rental at a very low rate ($48). Expected to be taxed like crazy and pressured for upcharges, but this was a whole new level. Website not working or helpful in preparing an easy counter experience. App useless. At the counter, was told my NY/NJ EZ Pass I brought is useless unless I want to be double-charged. And, “FL no longer accepts cash at tolls, so renting the plate pass for $11/day, unlimited tolls, is cheaper than the fines if you end up on a toll road.” I could have navigated around all tolls on the trip, and there are clearly cash lanes at each toll booth. Plus, I pre-purchased Allianz rental insurance directly to avoid their overpriced option, but was told I could not rent the car without purchasing (at least) their liability option ($20/day). He said I was lucky b/c that is MUCH less than the $59/day full coverage. All in, my 2 day $48 car rental ended up at $128!! Still much less than the Big 3 but nearly 3x what I reserved. Finally, I don’t fully blame Advantage: CLEARLY the State of FL and the county are in on the visitor fleecing.Reviewed 11 Apr. 2024

They did not honor our reservation. Eurocar had us there for about an hour that they could not find our reservation. They did not help us rent another car just told us they did not think it would be good for us since all the could do for us was a car 10 times the price. Plus insurance once I called the number for customer service it was them as well and they said that there system would may be update in an hour and see if they could find it. They asked for utility bill to rent me a vehicle. They force me to buy liability insurance even though my credit card carries insurance. They downgraded me to a sedan even though I paid for a mini SUV. They imposed a 150 mile limit for the day.Reviewed 31 Mar. 2024

Liked the newer car that was comfortable to drive. Dislikes; Was required to pay for additional insurance.We paid for insurance through Kayak and have great personal auto insurance. Advantage refused to rent without buying their insurance. Was charged an additional fee to allow my wife to drive the car also. This is not a common policy when I have rented other cars. I was expected to drive a Nissan Sentra when I reserved a midsized SUV. Sorry but I am not happy about this rental experience at all. I made the reservation and went up to the office to pick up the car. The people were not nice at all and besides that they said they didn’t have the car for me. I want SUV for seven people and that’s what I book but they said they just have a car to rent for me so I wasted my time and end up going to Airport and rent a car on my own.Reviewed 21 Mar. 2024
