Everything was smooth. We enjoyed the vehicle a great deal and perfectly accommodated our needs. I believe we received a free upgrade, which certainly affected how pleased we were with the cost/value. The only negative was we waited over an hour past our scheduled pickup time when receiving the car. There was a giant line of folks, perhaps they were understaffed on a Thursday morning? I wasn’t able to rent a car because they charged me 600 dollars extra for showing up 2 hours earlier than reserved. They charged my card for that amount without discussing it with me or telling me the total would change that drastically. Upon arriving the customer service rep in Austin airport told me it will be an additional $40 because the drop off location on the reservation (off airport San Antonio) is closed. He told me to step away while he takes other customers and I think about it. He will not give me the car without paying the extra. I asked for a manager who agreed to give me the car and I would return it at the airport instead and get charged the extra $ but dispute it later. I wasted over and hour and a half dealing with this, after I flew overnight 12+ hours. Turns out the location on my initial reservation has a garage and easy self checkout 24/7. Very frustrating that the employees have no clue about other offices and/or access to more info as employees of the same company.Reviewed 11 Feb. 2023
