Pros: The room was lovely and spacious. They staff was extremely helpful and attentive. I love standard German breakfast, which is what they served, so I was quite happy.
The location is good for people that don't like staying in the middle of crowds. It was quiet at night and we were on the ground floor.

Cons: The breakfast staff is very rude. They push you out at 10:37 on a Sunday. You have to ask for everything you need (like hot water or coffee). You seem to bother them. Quality of breakfast is just average, no more. Cleaning staff entered the room several times during the week-end, without knocking at the door. On Sunday morning, they tried to enter at 9 am (while we were still in bed) and they did not close the door behind them... It is very far from a 5 stars hotel on those aspects.

Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had 3 people in our party (two twins and a extra bed). The hotel room was a little tight for 3 people but we only stayed there to sleep.
Location was fantastic. Everything was within walking distances to great clubs, bars, and food. I highly recommend checking out Bombay Bar and then M1 Ultra Lounge for a great night (get bottle service). The main tourist attractions were 10~15 min walking distance away.

Cons: Nothing really but if i had to nitpick: Room was a little small. The elevator was slow? They charged for late check out ($30 for 2 hours - think). In comparison, we didn't get charged for late check out in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna. Laundry was expensive - pricing based on individual article of clothing.

Cons: Hotel parking was incredibly expensive (31 Euro for one night) and the stuff didn't even bother to inform me about the price, just put it to the invoice and asked for th creditcard. Breakfast was ok but not worth the 15 Euro they ask for it.

Cons: I visited Prague in January and the weather was very cold outside in the night. When I back to the room, the hot water of bath system was not hot enough. The front desk told me this might because too many people use the bathroom in the same time, but the water is still slightly cold after one hour later. Since this is a four stars hotel, this kind of issue should have better solution and can be fixed.

Cons: Terribly untrained personal, staff doesn't know basic things. Room remained dirty from previous guest and were not cleaned after several 'cleanings'. They just keep it their rooms in garbage all the time

Beds very uncomfortable and duvet comforter excessively small for two adults as it did not cover both during the night. Heat poor and a bellman had to bring us an electric heater to warm room. Cons: At breakfast the water for tea was often not warm enough and coffee often not hot enough. You could order cappuccino etc but I drink black coffee and tea. You could ask waiter but just a niggle that needs attention. Ate at restaurant one night. Good food, but wine and steak prices very expensive.

Cons: Spider webs above my bed, the staff seemed annoyed when my key demagnetized. I accidentally upgraded to a suite and immediately emailed to correct it, hotel passed the buck to booking.com who assured me it was handled. The hotel DID see my email and reply, so they knew of the situation I get to the hotel and was promptly shown to the suite. I explained the situation to the guy showing me my room and he said "we will figure it out tomorrow". I called booking.com immediately. After about 45 minutes he returned to move me to a standard room. When he did so, he said its good I called cause I saved myself 800 euro.

The location is also very comfortable espesially for tourists and business trips, as there are two metro station next to the hotel and it's a 10 or 15 min walk to Orloj. At the same time it wasn't noisy at all around the hotel. For short, we enjoyed our stay at the BW Maj Plaza.

We had very rude next door neighbours who banged on our wall and swore at us every five minutes, and noisy upstairs neighbours who were loud into the night. The hotel also attempted to get us to pay city tax twice! We payed it on arrivals (despite it having been payed on our booking fee) and then on check out we were told that was the only thing left to pay - on saying we payed it at the start they swiftly said they’d made an error in the system! And then some waffle about why we hadn’t payed it with the booking. Bit cheeky.

Cons: Well, I think, that the reason why I feel a little bit upset about my stay at the hotel hardly can be removed or improved. The matter is that there is a bad bathroom sound insulation. We didn't hear any sounds but only the moments when somebody - I mean our neirbours - took shower or bath. I could hear the water sound and the noise because of using different things at the bathroom. So sometimes I thought that our neibours had their bathroom in our bedroom. Nevertheless it would be a little bit stressfull only for those people who has a sensitive sleeping like me:)) My husband slept very well in the mornings and heard nothing:)

Cons: It was like a good symphony badly played, the Aircon was poor, you could not cool the room enough to sleep under the doonas provided, the windows, single glazed, let in a lot of noise, nothing was replaced in the room in 4 days. The room was overheated to compensate for the fact that the door in the corridor to access our room was always open to the outside. We asked the reception several times (once a day as we stayed 3 days in this hotel) to check if it possible to have another room but nothing was ever possible. Access to the spa was not even included. Breakfast was from 7.30 to 10.30 so the waitress made sure to come and turn off the coffee machine at 10.30 to ensure that we could not even get another coffee past 10.30

The room was clean and was well epuiped. I was scared before because the review by the other travellers. No power plugs in room, No kettle. Old fashioned room etc.
There are 3 kinds of power plug outputs ( US, UK and European) near the desk. The posision would be slight high due to EU regulation.
There are a kettle underneath TV cabinet which you have to pull out its sliding tray to activate. It is cleaver device to avoid condensation in TV cabinet. It is slightly dated but clean and comfortable no noise from next door, no air condition noise. It is 100 meters from Tube station. 40 mins from Airport by Bus and Tube. 2 to 4 stops to City Centre. I liked it very much. I think I can live here if necessary.

The room was clean and was well epuiped. I was scared before because the review by the other travellers. No power plugs in room, No kettle. Old fashioned room etc.
There are 3 kinds of power plug outputs ( US, UK and European) near the desk. The posision would be slight high due to EU regulation.
There are a kettle underneath TV cabinet which you have to pull out its sliding tray to activate. It is cleaver device to avoid condensation in TV cabinet. It is slightly dated but clean and comfortable no noise from next door, no air condition noise. It is 100 meters from Tube station. 40 mins from Airport by Bus and Tube. 2 to 4 stops to City Centre. I liked it very much. I think I can live here if necessary.
Cons: I may be a little harsh here but the nob controlling Shower or Bath on the tap was stack and not moving. The engineer came immidiately and fix it.
Black out curtain did let light in a little.

Building work started at 7am which was a horrible wake up on the 5th floor (roof just above). This took place all day so if you needed to relax in the room it wasn't possible. The staff were very helpful and after a few discussions I managed to receive a refund. Would have preferred a decent lie in though!

Upon arriving, the hotel met all my expectations, the staff was very nice and the location was about as good as you're going to get in Old Town of Prague. I was traveling solo to meet up with my son on his Study Abroad trip but I will be returning with my wife and I would stay again for sure. So, simply, an awesome location. Also, if one is inclined to avoid crowds, take the tram up the hill from the Pyramida Orea Hotel towards the Brevnov Monastery and Letohradek Hvezda Château and Park. To sum it up, the hotel is in a great location for exploration of Prague’s numerous architectural, historical, and cultural sights without being located in the midst of the tourist hotspots. At the end of a busy day exploring the city it was nice to come back to a more quite part of the city, while still having access to restaurants and shops at Belohorska Street where the hotel is located. The rooms and all facilities are spotless. breakfast is exceptional - choices from traditional continental breakfast to meat/cheese cold cuts, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruits, veggies and pastry. One can even get your morning latte or cappuccino made by a barista onsite. Plan the time you get in though to avoid crowds. The elevators display what is the best time to come in to ensure you are not battling crowds. There is also a gym and swimming pool, which we didn’t test, so can’t comment. The most important attribute to our stay at the Pyramida Orea Hotel, though, was the employees. We have stayed at the hotel several times and have to say that we have never received anything but stellar examples of hospitality - starting with extremely helpful and cordial staff at the reception desk, continuing with very hospitable bellmen and ending with pleasant housekeeping and food/beverage staff. We had a wonderful stay every time we came to Prague.

Pros: Great breakfast buffet with bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, a variety of cereal, cheese, salami, spreads, a variety of bread, fresh fruit and more. To top it all off they have a barista preparing coffees by the order. Great location. With a tram stop right outside it’s very easy getting around. We enjoy walking and walked in to the city more than once. The Strahov Monastery is only a 10 minute walk away and Prague castle is another 10-15 minutes. The sauna is at an extra charge but totally worth it in my opinion. Never got to use the swimming pool.

The rooms and all facilities are spotless. breakfast is exceptional - choices from traditional continental breakfast to meat/cheese cold cuts, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruits, veggies and pastry. One can even get your morning latte or cappuccino made by a barista onsite. Plan the time you get in though to avoid crowds. The elevators display what is the best time to come in to ensure you are not battling crowds. There is also a gym and swimming pool, which we didn’t test, so can’t comment. The most important attribute to our stay at the Pyramida Orea Hotel, though, was the employees. We have stayed at the hotel several times and have to say that we have never received anything but stellar examples of hospitality - starting with extremely helpful and cordial staff at the reception desk, continuing with very hospitable bellmen and ending with pleasant housekeeping and food/beverage staff. We had a wonderful stay every time we came to Prague.

Pros: Great breakfast buffet with bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, a variety of cereal, cheese, salami, spreads, a variety of bread, fresh fruit and more. To top it all off they have a barista preparing coffees by the order. Great location. With a tram stop right outside it’s very easy getting around. We enjoy walking and walked in to the city more than once. The Strahov Monastery is only a 10 minute walk away and Prague castle is another 10-15 minutes. The sauna is at an extra charge but totally worth it in my opinion. Never got to use the swimming pool.
Cons: The shower was a little small. There was a smell of sewerage from the bathroom at most times. Very limited option of toiletries. Only shower gel and hand soap. Also, not possible to get a double bed. Two twin beds put together. Last, no English movie channels.

Pros: Modern room. It was great to have kitchenette in our room. Good soundproofing. Breakfast was very good! Location is good, it is only a short walk from metro, tram. Shopping centre is nearby. I would stay there if I would be on business trip, for leisure I would choose a different hotel.
Cons: I looked for room with bath to have relaxing, hot bath in the evening. There was a bath in the room, but water has barely warm. It was warm enough to take shower and not get frozen. Sauna was disappointing, steam sauna didn't work at all. At one evening there was no hot water at all. Reception didn't even apologise for inconvenience. Parking was tiny, if you are not very self-confident driver, find another parking spot. And it was very expensive.

My girlfriend's version(russian): Я и мой молодой человек останавливались в Отеле Augustus et Otto с 27 по 20 сентября 2018 года. Из плюсов: девушка на рецепшене была довольно милой, всегда была горячая вода, пока мы ждали заселения, налили чаю, находится довольно близко к центру (2 с половиной км от центра Праги).

Cons: It is not a 4-star level hotel. The room was very basic and old/not renewed, with a mix of different furnitures “parked” in it, very dissimilar from the pictures presented. Not very clean room and towels. Temperature low and not adjustable manually.

My version: this is definitely not a four stars hotel, maybe it used to be but not anymore. I paid 200eu expecting to be welcomed in a luxurious real four stars hotel because we wanted to relax after 2 long weeks of adventures but we were very disappointed, my gf even cried! They first asked us to give a 50 euros deposit for the minibar that contains 3 drinks and 2 chocolates (from billa, the cheapest supermarket) then they gave us vouchers for breakfast because I guess they don't trust anyone even their own customers so we felt very unwelcome. When we entered our room(12), it smelled weird and no it's not because of disinfection, the smell was there every time we entered our room. We had to open windows all the time so we could have some fresh air. We booked a double room, yet it was a twin room (2 single beds put together). The sink pipe in the bathroom was not very often cleaned we could tell as the water was draining very slowly down the pipe. We couldn't use blankets as they were in a pretty bad shape, harsh for the skin and the TV was too small with wires hanging around. Now for the breakfast, every product is from billa (I love billa but I paid 200eu here!), And same breakfast everyday with very poor choice. Every morning there was very loud post Soviet music coming from the kitchen even at 9am when people just woke up! We could hear it from our room!! Also i saw children playing around the kitchen.
My girlfriend's version: он был заявлен как 4 звездочный отель, но на самом деле уровня максимум одной звезды. А денег за него берут как за 4 звезды! Девушки на рецепшене не говорят по-чешски, практически весь персонал русские или украинцы, которые не говорят на английском. Наша комната была меньше заявленной, вода из раковины не желала уходить, покрывало на кровати -- старое, застиранное, все в катышках. Экран телевизора крошечный, все провода наружу. Мы заказали двойную крвоать, а на самом деле это было две сдвинутые кровати и два одеяла, кто-нибудь из нас все время проваливался в щель. Очень тонкие жидкие подушки. На моем пододеяльнике было красное пятно (от свечи?) Вместо кондиционера -- вентилятор. За содержимое минибара с нас взяли депозит 50 евро! Каждый раз, когда мы выходили из отеля, ключ от комнаты надо было сдавать на рецепшн. Завтрак -- по талонам! При этом в столовой оглушительно ревела плохая русская музыка из кухни, невозможно было спокойно позавтракать в тишине. Иногда эту музыку включали также во время уборки комнат, под такое сложно отдыхать. Сам завтрак не очень разнообразный, в картошку добавили бекон, скудный выбор овощей. В последнюю ночь мы уезжали рано утром, так как у нас был самолет, и попросили завтрак с собой. Нам упаковали: одну помидорку (!), 3 куска хлеба, ветчину, сыр, 2 киви, 2 апельсина, поллитра воды, 4 масла (два из них -- маргарин рама), 2 джема и 0,3 сока. Ни ножа, ни вилки. Как есть это в аэропорту? Масло пальцем намазывать? Остались очень недовольны, боль

I believe nobody had clean the flat were we stay for weeks, we found spider webs, lots of dust in every surface, we never sat on the sofa because it was full of disgusting stains, also the bathroom wasn't clean. The area where it is located is not a really nice. The neighbors were partying really loud until late night. Would not come back.

The 24h frond desk is actually a machine to check in and a post box to drop your key on the way out. My aunt lost her phone and I tried to contact the hotel via phone and e mail but no response. Will definitely not stay there again

Lots of noise are heard from both other rooms and the entrance door. The pillows are uncomfortable. I do not recommend this accommodation. In addition, very expensive for how far it is and what it offers.

Cons: This hotel is horrible. You have a self check in, which is good, but our door-card stopped working and we had to call them and they didn't even come. So we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to get a new card from a machine. The room was ugly, smelled bad, dirty sheets, little space and it was cold, the heating system was not working well. The bathroom was also ugly, no good lighting, no soap and everything really old. Also we wanted to eat breakfast cause it's written that it is included, but we didn't get it. I don't recommend you to book it.
