Service and crew very organised however the plan and seat seemed very dated and not enough space
One leg of the flight arrived late which necessitated a rebooking on the next leg. Although there were no major weather events in play, best choice offered was a 7 hour wait in the Vancouver airport for a 4 hour totally packed red eye flight to Ottawa. No opportunities to return earlier via other major hubs like Toronto or Montreal. Felt very much like national routes were no longer well supported. Adding insult to injury, entertainment system for my seat was out of order. Thought I might use wi-fi, but discovered it would cost $10 per hour! Paid a lot for the flight as it was over the holiday period. Probably won't be doing that again.
Plane was smooth. More of a YVR issue, but the gate at departure was JAM PACKED with people and departing flights. Literally standing room only around the gates... This should be staggered or spread out better. Other than that, the flight was fine.
The boarding staff was extremely rude and disrespectful to multiple passengers. I would advise to avoid Air Canada at Comox airport unless they take steps to improve their airport staff.
Liked the lounge in Toronto. The filmed safety information featuring a tour of Canada was amusing, maybe confusing to those with out English or French, or flying for the first time. With a few exceptions, personnel were polite and helpful.
The flight was terribly cold with no blankets available, not even any to purchase. They charge you for earphones and for food though they provide pretzels or a cookie with refreshments. The seat was very thin and generally uncomfortable. I would not use them again though the crew were very nice.
Was delayed twice- sat on the tarmac for 1/2 hour. Seat space is very cramped. Overall not impressed. Crew was lovely though!
Overall, a good experience. The crew were not as friendly/helpful on my flight from Toronto to Nashville, but they were nice enough. I asked for a coffee about 45 min before landing, the flight attendant acted put out at the request.. apparently, they forgot about it and when I asked again they said it was too late. It was the only thing I asked for on the flight. Needless to say, it bugged me.
Horrible. Sat at the gate in the plane for 2.5hrs.
Kind and accommodating staff. Comfy seats. Plenty of leg and luggage room.
