Picture process took 4 times. Nobody tells you that you have to transfer your own bags from Delta to West Jet. I even asked in a Toronto and they said no and nobody in Atlanta told me to collect my bags. So bags never made it until the next AM. The West Jet rep was very good and located the bags and they were delivered as promised. You should provide 3 page detailed instructions on how to handle Toronto. I am a seasoned traveler by the way. I’ve never seen anything worse. I could go on and on."

Cons: "The boarding of the plane was by far a complete failure. I understand we are held hostage by PUJ airport but westjet needs to step up their canadian staff there. Language by westjet staff basically Spanish only and rude. We waited on a bus to drive 10 feet to our plane and the driver seemed to enjoy letting us sit in a closed bus with babies and children and elderly. One day this will cause a serious medical issue and westjet will pay dearly. Again, I am aware we cant control that but having a canadian manager there to ensure common sense is used with their customers from gate to plane is a must. Until better I will never fly westjet from there again. On the plane they ran out of food. Again major organizational issues from the companies point of view. Also made me pay twice to pick my seats on my connecting flights. This is petty and cheap. I will be demanding a discount or rebate from westjet due to all the above. If not my story will continue."

This in turn made us miss a very important appointment in Ottawa. I’m sure the company loves that they saved money by combining those flights however you flunked the test with me. All the corporate could care less about me missing my flight after they look at the bottom line but I will be taking my $1600 plus money elsewhere in the future because of the aggravation, frustration and I don’t care attitude that your company has provided me. I’ll I want to do is get back to Vancouver in my return flight hopefully put most likely on time with my two girls and forget that your company does exists. Thanks for the headaches and goodbye.."

I was then Seated next to an individual that should have had two seats to themselves instead of most of my seat and theirs. I was literally pressed into the bulkhead by the very large person next to me. Who had another large individual next to them. WestJet used to be a great airline that Had a little more legroom. Now airlines like flair offer the same flights with more legroom wider seats and far lower costs. WestJet has lost me as a customer that used to pay a little extra if There was a WestJet flight option"

Pros: "My first trip started on a poor note; I got to airport about an hour before boarding, only to find out that my flight was rescheduled from 9:30am to about 6:15pm ( or so) on that same day without prior notice. I went up to the counter and asked for confirmation for the switch and inquire if there was an issue, which may have affected my original flight. Turned out that the change was due to weather conditions at Toronto (makes sense). I had suggested that it would have been nice to receive some sort of notification, before starting that day way too early and inconvenience of going to pickup my car from the airport parking, only to come back again. The attendant sympathized with my plight and compensated me with a lunch voucher (which was nice of him and WestJet). Matter was resolved; I came back to catch my flight and the trip was wonderful :)"

Cons: "I don’t want to give an excellent review because it leads to higher fares. But these people are pretty darn good we like to fly with them as much as possible. Two things can be corrected, however. Firstly the amount and size of carry on. If a bag or bundle looks really too big it really is too big. These people are so accommodating though they just let it go. Secondly, sometimes we check in early on line and we have a bag allowance. However, when printing a boarding pass at the airport if we say we are checking a bag the machine wants to charge for it. We always have to ask an attendant to clear this. Perhaps it’s time to fix this little issue. Like I said, I hate to give them an excellent rating because it makes it harder to get a good seat. The company is great and the folks working there are really great. Sorry to say."

There was a delay in NYC, so to take the connection in Miami I had to run across the airport. Then the flight delayed in Miami, and the schedule in GRU - São Paulo was too tight, so I missed the flight to Porto Alegre. When coming from international flights, the connection time needs to be more spaced because of immigration bureaucracy.

Cons: "I never got to fly !!! I was flying to Rio de Janeiro from USA and my flight got canceled, so I never made it to Rio therefore I wasn’t able to fly to São Paulo . I called you guys and the airline to see what you could do for me . Very bad customer service considering there’s a pandemic. I understand certain flights are non refundable but during the circumstances you could’ve gave a voucher to use later but instead you tried to charge me more money to make changes when I didn’t even know when I was able to fly. To all this I lost my money and my chance to fly later . Never again I will buy anything from Kayak . You just lost a customer!!!"

Regular recline functionality (missing on some of the larger LCCs worldwide) and a free drink and snack (also missing on many LCCs), TOO was truly a relaxing flight. 10/10. Would definitely fly again."

Cons: "This was a multi city, round trip starting out of CLT. My connection was way too close, and we missed the connection due to a mechanical problem. The lines to get vouchers were super long, and the hotel was not the best. It was way after midnight when I got to the hotel, and I did not feel safe staying at a Quality Inn. I think for a short haul day flight I may just put up with economy instead for the price. Food is ok. I think with AA you have to pick your aircraft, it makes a difference what plane you fly as to what you get in business class. FA's were great. Overall I'd fly them again. Food was ok."

Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."

I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."

Once finally aboard we sat on the runway, our flight left an hour late and we missed our connecting flight in Vancouver which, I realize happens. However..."

The employees at check in were all very efficient and made sure the line didn't get too long. The flight left on time. Every seat had personal entertainment system, and mine worked great. The flight attendants themselves were very professional."

Once we had been accepted, we were passed off to another employee who couldn't figure out why he couldn't check us in. Then another, who said "I'm only helping you because your flight is delayed, the flight should have closed by now." (Not exactly comforting, and considering it took them 2 hours to help, not super helpful either.) - When we ran to the gate, the people running the gate told us that the aircraft hadn't even landed, but weren't communicative in timing, didn't update the time on the boarding screens, etc."

We wait 30 minutes. then another 30 and then another 30 as more and more news comes about that the problem is not fixable. We de-board and have to wait in a long line at the complete opposite end of the airport. By 1:00am the line has barely moved and all hotel vouchers has been used. I have to spend the evening on a bench in the airport as a single woman- not comforting. I missed important meetings the next day as I am on the flight home. I understand accidents happen but it happened on both my way there and back. My flight home should have been refunded as it put me in a very insecure position and effected my work performance."

I approached them and told them that I was willing to pay half of a business seat, just let me go. The crew was unwilling and threanned me by returning the plane before it took off. Customs was a breeze but the walk from terminal to customize to the next terminal had me winded, luckily my connecting Air Canada flight was late also . And this was the better part of my experience. My flight to Athens was miserable ( lots of screaming children spread out through the plane). And when I thought it was over my luggage was separated and lost for 3 days.
