One hour is not enough to transfer between flights in Istanbul! It was a long run through the airport to make our flight on time. Then once we boarded, a lot of time was wasted with a woman who seemed to have been sick, yet the staff eventually let her stay on the flight. I hope that she was not contagious. Another problem on the long flight was that water was not available often enough. The flight attendants could have gone up and down the aisles with prefilled water cups a few times between meals. 10 hours is a long flight requiring more hydration. The flight crew was always courteous, friendly and efficient as we have found on all of our Turkish airlines flights. We appreciated the effort to accommodate English speaking passengers. We also find the entertainment options superior on Turkish Airlines. This was extra helpful on the long flight. My one complaint on the entertainment is that I could lower the music volume a bit more so I could have background music and sounds while trying to sleep.
Cons: "This is my first flight with Turkish Airlines. It is much better than every Europe Airline company. Until the Covid19 pandemic is over I will not fly to Europe with any European company. Turkish Airline are that good. On top of that you get to transport two big bags of luggage for free."
Pros: "The flight went very smooth including boarding, transferring at Istanbul. The infotainment system was helpful in a way that you could see the real time camera feed of the ground and runway."
Cons: "Fewer passengers on board. I know it’s about profits and financial feasibility, however listening to a prerecorded message about 1.5 social distancing while being boarded 20 cm from 2 passengers undermines the whole thing, isn’t it?"

Cons: "The delay leaving Heathrow was not so good.... missed connecting flight in Istanbul and no availability on the night flight. Had to re-book with Air Astana."

Pros: "The seat & the food were better than I’d expected, and, of course, that’s a *big* part of the experience."
Cons: "I had to file a claim with Turkish because my new suitcase (not an expensive suitcase, but still) got seriously chewed up and is now unusable. At least it made it to the destination on time! And the contents were only slightly damaged. I will be happy if I get reimbursed for the suitcase."
Pros: "Liked that in this day's of cost cutting by most airlines, Turkish decided to win customers with Quality! Premium liquid soap, cologne and moisturizer in the lavatories, fresh seafood in ordered special meals, friendly service and good entertainment. Thank you! Didn't expect..."
Pros: "The flight from Brussels to Istanbul was close to perfection as the plane was not full and I had 3 seat for myself... Crew attitude, professionalism and kindness"

Cons: "As close as an hour to takeoff, we had not received any confirmation from the gate that we would be boarding there. Upon asking the gate attendant at our supposed depature gate if if was indeed the gate depating for Kabul, she "had no idea." To begin boarding, people just randomly started lining up without any formal announcement ever occuring."
Cons: "I had to rearrange my bags 3-4 times even though I paid $80 additional for extra weight"

Cons: "Late into the flight there appeared to be a medical emergency taking place just a few rows ahead of me. No announcement was made; it was as though we were expected to ignore the situation. But with the lights in the cabin turned on, a small crowd gathered, and the passenger being vocal in his distress .. . a brief announcement would have been nice: Situation under control, no need to worry, flight will continue as scheduled. The passenger had a relapse a few hours later - again no acknowledgement from the crew to reassure those of us who could hear his cries of distress."
Pros: "I traveled solo with 2 toddlers. It was obviously not the best flight I’ve had but the staff was super helpful. The flight attendant got me the changing table ready every time I had to change my daughter. And always they helped me to stay with one of my kids when I had to take the other one to the bathroom. They were really kind and offered many kids related stuff (headphones, baby care kit, kids travel kit, etc.) Plus the food was amazing as always in Turkish Airlines."

Cons: "Wifi was ineffective for most of the flight. Difficult to sign on using Android phone and unable to achieve full wifi web-browsing once activated. Charged full fee for very minimal access. One hour of access cost is almost as much as full flight access so it drives you to the higher cost option. On demand movies and music were fine. Economy seating is a tight fit but not unexpected."

Cons: "The broke my baggage. I have been flying a lot lately and never had any issues until I flew with Turkish Airlines. They are incredibly unorganized, late, gave headphones just so I could watch a map since nothing else was being played for some reason, etc. I won't be flying them again."
Cons: "Here is a recommendation. When your business class is empty, and by empty I mean nobody was there, use the available seats or some of them to upgrade some of your loyal travelers. Also, when your business class is empty there is no need to draw the curtains, unless you have something to hide. Your personnel was not in the mood to work today."

Cons: "It was raining a bit but we had to ride the shuttle bus from and to the plane. We got wet while climbing the stairs to the plane. I wish we used the tube gate instead."
Pros: "When I find the restroom facility with water all over the floor and walls apparently used by a passenger to do a sponge bath. I notified the flight attendants and they immediately clean up the mess and restore the restroom to usable condition. I was very impressed with their attitude in a trying situation. Very cordial flight crew. The little travel kits were an added bonus. Having sandals on a 13 hour flight was a blessing instead of putting on shoes every time you have to to to the WC."
Cons: "The 45 minute wait on the tarmac before take off. It was quite hot in the cabin with no air circulation. And no information from the cockpit as to when takeoff will be."

Pros: "While in Barcelona, Spain I needed to change my departure time, there was the usual long lines ahead of me when a THY Associate questioned me about my travel plans. I explained to her that I needed to change my departure time and she took me out of line and escorted me to the correct window. Standing now at the correct window I was able to quickly make the desired changes. I was so happy I was able to avoid the long lines. THY is a Class A operation indeed. Thank you, Rudy"

We got there safe and on time...what more do you need? Oh, and the price for my route was amazing; the next airline was $1000 more and the one after that $2000 more."
Cons: "We were an hour late boarding after a very long wait in the airport. We should have all gotten refunds or vouchers, or an apology."

Pros: "I booked a round trip flight from IAD to NUE with stay over in IST. Try to make change flight date IST to NUE. I was told by the Turkish air agent to buy a new on way ticket from IST to NUE and use the origenal ticket from NUE to IAD and I did. The the nightmare begun when I try to get back to back to iAD. I was told my ticket was cancelled and have to buy new ticket. After 7 hrs exosting fight and inconvenience when they found out that I was not easily going to be hustled out $1100+ they finally reissued my tickets. During this time I witnessed how 10-20 customers old and young were being hustled for more money and some crying out of frustration. It was one of the worst experience I've had in my 45+yrs traveling experience."
Cons: "Customer service training. Mgmt must be involved in problem solving rather than sending customers to a phone both some of it that doesn't work to talk to folks that don't know what they're doing nor have the authority to mak decision."
