Rude staff through the experience. Extremely warm cabin temperature during the flights with no seemingly capable of addressing this.

Our Turkish airlines flight to Istanbul from Athens was delayed which caused us to miss our connecting flight home by 15 minutes. Rather than holding the plane the airlines required us to rebook. There rebooking process was a mess as well as the airlines was disorganized.

On June 18th, I flew from RDU to JFK, NY. The plane was delayed in the runway for 1+ hours. As soon as I got out of the plane, I got a wheelchair (dur to my heart and back pain) and told the agent to go as fast as he can to Turkish airline terminal so we can catch the flight. We arrived at Turkish airline gate and the airplane doors were closed. I asked and almost begged to let us get in, but our request was denied. Therefore, we lost our connecting flight by Turkish airline to Istanbul, Turkey. We still had 20 minutes left from the departure. But Turkish airline said, they close the door 40 minutes before the departure. Around 12:15 AM (now is June 19th), I walked all the way from Turkish airline to JetBlue ticket counter (half an hour walk) and asked for next flight to Istanbul. After waiting for 2+ hours in the line, JetBlue indicated that next day flight to Istanbul is all sold-out and Turkish airline does not have any space from JFK to Istanbul. The agent said, why don’t you get a hotel and come back tomorrow morning and there might be a space for you. She said, most of time, there is a cancellation, and they should be able to accommodate us. Then, we have started to search for near-by hotel and after 2+ hours searching (all near-by hotels were sold-out) around 3:30 AM we found a Comfort-Inn which was 10 miles away. We got Uber and went to that hotel. The guy asked for $230+$50 deposit cash (no credit card) per person for only 6 hours as we had to be out by 12 PM. My son and I got 2 rooms very close to lobby (Room# C15 and C17). Once I got to my room, I saw flies and bugs in the corner of my room. At this time, I thought about getting a rest and try to connect my next flight to Istanbul which was extremely important to me. Once I got into the bed, it was extremely uncomfortable. The bed was uneven and bad. To make the long story short, I only slept one hour (at the most) due to around 6 AM, lots of kids in the lobby were making noise which I could hear them well. They only reimbursed one of the rooms and the other one they charged us as my son had the same problem as me. I did not argue as my goal was to get to JFK airport and get my ticket to Istanbul to see my nephew and his new wife. We came back to JFK airport and again stayed in the line for 2+ hours. Once it was our turn, the JetBlue ticket counter indicated; they don’t have anything from JFK to Istanbul. However, they have a flight from JFK to Boston and from Boston to Istanbul. I said, Let’s get that ticket, immediately The JetBlue agent said, I had to go to Turkish airline “Lost and Found” section to pick up my luggage and hand carry it back to JetBlue from JFK to Boston, then from Boston to Istanbul. This means, I had to go back again all the way to Turkish airline in another Terminal, get my luggage and bring it back to JetBlue. Due to so many people missed their flights, I had to wait for 2+ hours to get my luggage due to “Lost and Found” being so busy with so many lost luggage from other passengers. After 2+ hours, I picked up my luggage and took it all the way back to JetBlue (half an hour walk). I got to JetBlue ticket counter and re-checked my luggage going from JFK to Boston and Boston to Istanbul. I spent 3+ hours walking around and then I went to JetBlue’s gate for departure to Boston at 7:30 PM and then from there depart to Istanbul at 11:30 PM. Around 7:10 PM, the agent announced that, the plane which was supposed to pick us up has not arrived and there will be a delay. I asked the ticket counter agent, how long is the delay and he said, he does not know. Around 8:30 PM, the plane was arrived. The agent told me, by time they board us, it will be 9:00 PM and the soonest we get to Boston, it will be between 10:30 to 10:40 PM which Turkish airline closes the gate for their 11:30 PM departure to Istanbul. So, the agent said, there is no way we could make on-time and I will miss the flight from Boston to Istanbul. I went back to the ticket counter, and they said, they don’t have anything next day (Tuesday June 21st) and asked to stay in the hotel for another night. At this time, I was unbelievably shocked and stunned by JetBlue and how they treated me. Being in JFK airport and that bad hotel for over 30+ hours, not having my medications with me, I was at a point of falling due to being weak of not taking my medicines. I never thought this would happen to me. I decided to go back home to RDU, NC as we have missed my nephew’s wedding on June 19th and also missed the “Ceremony after the Wedding” on June 20th. There was no point for us to go to Istanbul as my nephew and his wife were gone to Honeymoon and all relatives were going back to their countries. We were extremely disappointed as it happened twice and the level of caring we received were extremely low. JetBlue agents did not even care that we lost connecting flights twice. They were all laughing, working very slow, talking personal and eating Pizzas while taking care of JetBlue tense customers. At this point, we decided to go back home to RDU, NC. This was due to being weak and having dizziness. The agent said, they will issue us 2 on way tickets which will be paid for. The plane was supposed to leave JFK towards RDU at 9:55 PM. Guess what, it left the airport at 11:30 PM, and arrives in RDU around 12:45 AM. As soon as I got home, I took my medications, passed out and slept for 11 hours. On Monday I rest all day as my heart and my body were aching. Yesterday, I was in contact with jet Blue (Code share department) as well as Kayak agency and other agencies for hotels and tours which all were cancelled due to JetBlue delays which occurred twice back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday. In summary, I lost my nephew’s wedding who is like a son to me. While I was in airport, we spoke on the phone, after the Wedding and after the ceremony. He said, uncle, without you, this wedding was meaningless to me and my bright. As soon as he said, I cried. It broke my heart and we both cried over the phone. These back-to-back delays happened only because of JetBlue. My nephew and I lost a big one here as I am still at lost and could NOT believe, this happened to me.

It is nice you serve passengers over such a long flight without an extra surprise cost. It is incentive to fly with you in the future. This is a long flight. The food was a bit over cooked this flight, but good choices.

Young children in the seats around mine received shrink wrapped comic books and stuffed animals. Headphones were provided to those who needed them. Austria Airlines just not for me. Thought I will have a great experience, however it was the other way around. Every passenger on board had the same meal with no preference.

This was a really great overseas flight. The crew was very nice and attentive, the seat was comfortable (more than some planes) and the entertainment was pretty good. The flights left on-time, as well. There was no wifi on the plane which would’ve been helpful, especially if you are a business traveler.

Another disadvantage is that the lounge only opens at 5.30am in the morning but first flight already leave Vienna around 6am. Mine was at 7.05am which meant that I just arrived when the lounge opened and I had to wait in a long cue. Boarding was due to the limited space in front of the gate a mess, priority boarding was announced but I was not made sure that priority passengers board first. The seats on board are for business to small and there is not even space to hag up the coat."

Never made it to Newark, I was redirected to Chicago, and lost another 5 hours

Waited 7 hours at the airport and now I have no way to locate my luggages because they were checked with tags to a flight that was delayed twice and then canceled last minute. I was told my luggages would be routed to my final destination but they’re not here .

Didn't have my boarding pass until Montreal, really stressful and neither Luftansa or Air Canada were rlly helpful.

Seat and knee space is narrow.

According to the locals, my misfortune was a common one, that Croatia Air has been neglecting to fix for years: The small planes that make the Zagreb to Dubrovnik flight can't actually complete the flight to Dubrovnik many times a year. The plane can barely make it to Dubrovnik when filled to capacity, and when the wind is high, it needs spare fuel to attempt the landing. High winds on small runways mean the plane often fails to land and needs to circle back around and try again. But it doesn't have enough fuel so they don't even try to fly to Dubrovnik, and land halfway across the country in Split instead. Adding a 5 hour bus trip to the end of 48 hours of sleepless flying was Not Good. Being on a bus ride without good air flow where most of the passengers took off their masks while the pandemic still raged was Not Good. Having missed my pickup from the airport and arriving at 4AM was Not Good. There not being enough taxis at the place the bus drops off at 4AM was Not Good. I ended up stumbling through a cold town in the middle of the night for an entire hour, dragging my luggage uphill for two miles. Croatian Airlines needs to fix their Dubrovnik route, so this stops happening. All the locals rolled their eyes and complained of how common this diversion is. Either put a better-sized runway at the airport so that planes can reliably land even in high winds, or put a plane with the fuel reserves to make the repeated attempts needed on this route, or both.

Cons: "Things I don't like: 1. My seat was the 1st-row aisle seat. OMG, the seat is extremely small, my legs were very very uncomfortable. I would rather sit another regular seat instead of the 1st-row aisle seat. Usually, I sleep on the plane during whole flight, but this time I could not sleep at all. 2. There was a curtain which separates the business class and economic class. As the 1st point, my seat was the 1st-row aisle seat, so the curtain hit me every time the crew went through the curtain, which is extremely annoying. 3. The Entertainment screen is so difficult to use, either hard to touch or so slow."

The crew was numerous and very attentive and pleasant. This was my first time flying Luftansa, and I would definitely fly with them again."

The movie selection could have used a bit more mystery type films, but that is my taste. I did watch a few movies I hadn't seen."

Flight was a code share of Lufthansa. Check-in, baggage drop, and flight was all with Lufthansa. Other than the flight being 30 min. delayed, it was pretty much a standard Lufthansa flight. They only offer a free water and chocolate; all other drinks and food are a la carte.

If taken literally, it implied flying at the speed of light. I understand that flights can be delayed, I just want good communication about the status, which was not given."

Cons: "Our flight to Dubrovnik was diverted to Split due to weather. That's fine, not in control of the airline, but how they handled the situation was miserable. First of all, nearly half of the luggage for the plane was left in Venice. This is a tiny plane with less than 100 people. It's not that difficult to recognize when there is luggage missing. Then, upon arriving and recognizing the luggage wasn't there, we were basically told, "don't worry about it." What? I'm 6,000 miles from home with no clothes and they don't even know where the luggage is at that time! The airline coordinated a bus to Dubrovnik from Split. It's about a 3.5 hour drive and left around midnight. No consideration of how some people might not be able to check into lodging at that time, no compensation for a hotel for the night, and they barely gave us any time to figure out what was happening to make sure getting on the bus was the right decision. The bus driver tried to leave without two of our party because they were *taking too long at the lost luggage desk to report the luggage the airline lost* ! I had to stand in the doorway of the bus to keep him there. The day after finally getting to our destination, I tried to call customer service to check on the luggage situation. THREE times I was asked to hold while they got someone else and was immediately hung up on. I only finally received contact from someone by email two days later. The airline did deliver the luggage to the hotel, finally, but they delivered it to the WRONG hotel and I had to Uber there and back to get it. All-in-all a 1.5 hour cheap flight turned into a 7 hour travel day and cost hundreds of euros more than it was supposed to. Horrible experience."

Flight was great but checkin experience made me never fly with LOT again

Everything. We arrived at our destination with a nearly 3 day delay. That's almost a week from my vacation including the travel from Canada and after the delay in Poland. Staying TWO days in Poland is unacceptable.

Everything could have been better, from boarding to the final destination. The plane was at the gate in LAX for hours, but the boarding was delayed by almost two hours. During the flight to Warsaw the crew was mean and impolite all along. Because the flight took off with two hours delay, we lost the connection in Warsaw. When we asked for accommodation at the transfer desk, the lady over there was very mean, and lied to us saying no accommodation can be made because there are no available hotels due to a major festival in the city. That was totally not true, the receptionist at the hotel confirmed that no festival was in the city that week/weekend. Very disappointed about the LOT experience, we have major concerns for the returning flights. We’ll never use LOT again!

Was perfect for me

Pros: "From Toronto to Warsaw we flew with Air Belgium even though we paid a ticket for Polish Airlines and everything was horrible. We waited an hour without any explanation before boarding and another hour and half after boarding. The seats were very uncomfortable and there was no leg room. Flight from Warsaw to Belgrade was a lot better, however 2 out of my 3 luggages were lost. Crew on both flights were lovely."

The only compensation given for this dealy was a voucher for a 20 Euro meal at the airport restaurant of my choice. I know planes get hit by lightning on average of once a year, but it typically does not take 3 to 4 hours to inspect and confirm the safety of the plane's electrical system. But perhaps better safe than sorrry!"

Food was good but they did not serve everything that was listed on the menu. My wife ordered the pancakes with berries for breakfast and they said they did not have any. After they told us they did not have this item, another passenger from Russia sitting in 3A started complaining and they miraculously found the pancakes for this passenger. this leaves a bad impression about the service and not what you expect when you buy a business class ticket."

Cons: "The aircraft (B787) was a bit run down. Some of the cabin crew were unprofessional, at at times rude to passengers. No wine/beer offered during the dinner service. They offer "gourmet" cafe on-board for purchase, but one has to go all the way back of the plane to make a purchase, the flight attendants refuse to bring it to the passenger, which I found to be strange."

When we searched for it and couldn't find it, we asked two different employees and they didn't know or offer to help. We finally found it but it wasn't a good experience.
