Cons: "The check in process was cumbersome with being able to partially get checked in at a computer kiosk and then having to wait in line to see an agent while other people are jumping the queue and not having to wait... then having stood in line for 10 minutes an agent tells you that you could have been in the "fast" lane... but there is no or little signage indicating which line you should be in.... that's frustrating. Don't expect your customers to be unconsciously aware of all of your convoluted business practices... put some signs out... we at least like a hint. Other than that, for air travel it was a very good experience."

The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Over all Alaska Airlines will be the standard my future experiences will be based off of if I am unable to travel through them"

Old plane. Delayed but no apology. Not great

When we checked in at Calgary- there were only 3 people intially. Then, 2 left and only 1 old man was left. He tried to move through the line, but could not clear us fast enough. About 50 people were stuck and not able to get boarding passes or luggage checked. We missed out flight. The scene was chaotic. Then, those of us who missed the flight were not able to get help as he was now trying to get the next people on the SLC flight through. We were so upset. Poorly run.

Baggage delayed even though both the flights were delayed.

The entertainment systems on the back of the seat worked sporadically and the PA system was too loud and every time the PA system was used while we had our headsets on, it was excruciating We had no warning in order to remove our headsets before it blasted into our ears. We were amazed that after paying a considerable sum for our tickets and being in the air for 6 hours, there was limited meal service and we were required to purchase a sandwich in order to eat. I fly Delta frequently and this was by far the worse flight I can remember."

I tried to take things in stride (first world problems?) but it is a bummer to pay extra for the first class treatment and then to not have that great experience, especially on back to back 5ish hour flights."

Cons: "I had safety concerns on the flight from YVR to Toronto because seated in the exit row were two individuals who were brought to the gate assisted on a cart and had to wait for assistance to get on and off the flight. They had very poor ambulation which made me nervous as these people have agreed, by sitting in the exit row, that they are able and willing to help in the case of an emergency evacuation. This was not a safe situation and was noted by several passengers."
Pros: "The manager who finally helped me was friendly and listened the entire time even when I was angry. She was concerned and helped me the best she could. The stewards are always friendly"
Cons: "There was only one agent on to check tickets. I was in line for 45 minutes and when I got to her, she just said over and over, there is nothing I can do, your flight time was just cut off. I would have to wait until the flight the next day. Even though I had no bags and there was still 35 minutes before take off. I also told her I knew I would be late and so spoke to someone from Westjet he night before. She smiled like I was lying to her. Lines should not be so black and white. If she would have just processed my ticket I would have had 35 minutes to get to my gate instead of 10. When you are flying with half full planes there should really be better ways to manage customer service."

Wasn't overly impressed with this airline. Also getting your itenairy online was also difficult. I had to change email information and call customer service which was in Spanish not English language. Then while lining up at the airport to process and check bags there was no computer to self serve and get through the line up faster and efficiently. The main clerk that helps with the line up was rude to passengers. Stating that on a domestic flight you need to be 2 hours ahead of boarding. Which most of us were a good 90 minutes to pre boarding. All of the struggles can be avoided with self serve check-in and prepaid bag check. The flight and crew were friendly and pleasant."

If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. Really unacceptable to put me in uncomfortable interaction, making me play bad cop. I was sitting behind passengers talking loudly who were using profanity. My solution? Earphones. This is a commercial flight - offer passengers eye covers, some solution, or tell them to deal with it, or tell them to charter a private plane. Don’t tell us to sacrifice what we pay for, because you can’t do your job. Lost a loyal customer."

I was told that I should simply go to the next gate to board the plane for Los Angeles -- and that I would do customs in the USA - so the info person sent me to retrieve my luggage (wrong info) and I ended with a 45 minutes anxious trek through the Vancouver airport! Once I found my gate, the West Jet personnel could not have been more kind."

The crew was not organized, so it took about 10-15 minutes to get off after we arrived in the gate (late) because they could not get people sit down and fill out the forms. Chaotic. I plan NOT to fly American again. Ever."

Pros: "Americans new 737s are pretty cool. The interior design is modern almost spacious. Seat back entertainment centers are like something you would find on international flights. There is even an A/C plug to charge your electronics. The seats don't just recline, they tilt the seat as well as the back. That said, the seat depth is akin to sitting on a picnik bench."
Cons: "I did not like the fact that while I selected seats when I made my reservations they were not held when I confirmed my return flight on line. The gate attendant informed me that since I did not book thru AA my selections were " requests" with no obligation to reserve the seats."
