Cons: "I wished to upgrade to business for aditonal $1000 which resulted in a 15 wait . There was only one person allowed to do that and she was obviously owerwhalmed. I got a smile out of her eventually but the whole process seemed wrong considering the amount of money i spent on that ticket:( Wish whomever I got to first at the counter were able to make the change and spare me the walking around and waiting."

Many connecting flights were delayed for our passengers. This kind of thoughtfulness and professionism is greatly appreciated. Crew was fast, efficient and friendly. Service with beverages and food was immediate and non-stop. It was our first trip on SwissAir, and it will be our preferred airline in the future."

Cons: "In July 2015 I booked flight from DTW to PMI to visit family over Xmas holiday. At that time there was no warning or indication of an issue regarding our minor child's passport. On our departure date (12/26) my family was denied boarding because our minor child's passport did not show an expiration date 3 months beyond our departure date. Lufthansa never emailed, called, or otherwise contacted us prior to the departure indicating there was a problem. Had I known about this issue I could have resolved it. While at the airport, Lufthansa made no offer for help beyond suggesting we call Delta or KLH. Further, Lufthansa is not willing to offer even a simple travel voucher for a future flight. We had to forfeit the entire flight package and lost thousands of dollars. I highly advise any future customer to make sure you check your passport expiration date if traveling or connecting to any EU country. I would NEVER recommend Lufthansa to anyone."

Cons: "There was nothing I liked from this experience. We missed our first flight on the first leg and on the morning of the return, called customer service to confirm our flight. We called while at the airport since there was a problem at the automated check in kiosk. Customer Service informed us that we would have to pay the delta for a one way since we did not take our first leg of the flight. The delta was going to be $93 per person but she could not process the payment or make the final confirmation. She noted that we had to pay and finalize at the airport/check in desk. We waited an hour while one check in attendant tried to check in a long line of customers. By the time we got to the front of the line, it was 6AM and the lady said she couldn't help us because we had no tickets. The flight was scheduled to leave at 6:35AM. We then went to another attendant who told us that the cost was going to $256 each for the flight. I'd like to understand how it went from $93 per person to $256 per person in the course of 45 minutes? ???? We were rushed and had no time to look into the details and were forced to make the purchase since we had a connecting flight in Munich we had to take to get home. In the end, we had to pay $500 for what should have been $186. The attendant was clearly very grumpy and unreasonably charged us. When I asked why the price delta was so large, she said she could not process the flights because the system would not let her. She refused to make the charge and gave us our credit card back but when my husband said the $500 was fine because we needed to make the flight, she magically made it happen. $500 later, we were running to the gate for the flight. The checkin folks at the Budapest airport should all be re-examined. I sent an email to Customer care the same day. It's been weeks and I have yet to hear back."

New custom: serve coffee AFTER breakfast 5. Nobody walked around with water or juice between the meals - you had to wake your neighbor since climbing over someone is no longer possible [either] 6. If you have 2 beverages on your tray and your neighbor needs to get out, you need a third person to assist (impossible to get out of your seat with 2 beverages in your hands (we tried it!) - just too narrow (even for a European Teenager) 7. It was not clearly visible who boards where. An Economy couple standing patiently in line at the Wong boarding line was sent back to the end of the long economy line - although NOBODY was in the business line"

Cons: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

We are now at least 24 hours without our luggage (we still don't have it) and cannot take advantage of our very expensive vacation. I must say, we will stop using Lufthansa and all partner airlines. This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. I am wondering if someone at Lufthansa decided it would be fun to ruin our vacation?"

The only compensation given for this dealy was a voucher for a 20 Euro meal at the airport restaurant of my choice. I know planes get hit by lightning on average of once a year, but it typically does not take 3 to 4 hours to inspect and confirm the safety of the plane's electrical system. But perhaps better safe than sorrry!"

Food was good but they did not serve everything that was listed on the menu. My wife ordered the pancakes with berries for breakfast and they said they did not have any. After they told us they did not have this item, another passenger from Russia sitting in 3A started complaining and they miraculously found the pancakes for this passenger. this leaves a bad impression about the service and not what you expect when you buy a business class ticket."
