A few improvements: 1. No signages at the airport that the porter airline was a codeshare and i could check-in at American counter. 2. Crew at the gate said they couldn't change my reward to Alaska - despite that being done previously 3. Despite there being many open seats, i was assigned a seat at the very back near lavatory, last row. Fortunately, the pilot wanted more people moved up so the flight attendants moved me up. It seemed very odd to have been stuck in last row with very few people nearby..
Much roomer than air Canada! Great flight for the price. No complaints
As a first time flyer with Porter I was happy with the service and comfort of the airline.
Other than wifi no on board entertainment. Will use them again, roomier seats than other airlines and snacks and beverages, better than average
Smaller plane. Food and bar service for free is amazing. Drinks were in glass not plastic cups.
The flight was half empty yet they charged me $50 for a basic carry on! I saw how passengers of different colors were treated differently.
I was not happy with AirfareAssist, the agency that kayak advised me would be handling my booking. I was advised by porter airlines that I had been overcharged for the Basic express , a option that I had asked airfare assist to help arrange after I realized that the basic fare I had chosen with porter did not include a carryon. At each checkin porter advised I had been overcharged for this . They advised that money would be refunded to my credit card, however, this is not likely to happen as it is not my name and credit card that appeared on the porter invoice, but that of another individual/agent. When airfare assist was arranging the basic express with porter on my behalf, they asked me to confirm that I agreed to pay $263 USD for this. I did agree, as I was advised this was needed to proceed. When I checked the invoice on the porter website and saw that it was not my name and credit card on the invoice, I was advised that this was how airfareassist processed the payment. The Porter invoice indicated a billed amount of $126USD I will not use Kayak or their designated AirfareAssist again
Three hours on the tarmac with almost zero communication from the cockpit. Not when offered a water in the interim. In my 67 years of flying all over the world the worst experience ever. The plane was half empty, however had to pay for seats to sit next to my girlfriend. Extra to take a carry on. I would never fly Porter again even for free.
The whole experience from check in to deboarding was fantastic.
Overall very good... staff were friendly and helpful. boarding was good for the most part, but a little hard to get our carry-on bags on there.... I think people should be directed to keep their coats and small bags with them until all the carry-ons are loaded, and then, if there is space, they can put their small bags and coats up top.. makes it much easier to put baggage up. i loved the internet feature, but the entertainment was not there unless you have your own Netflix or similar platform. My chair did not recline, which was very annoying, and the arms won't go up near the isle, which makes it tough to get in and out of the seat.
WestJet continues to live up to budget airline status. The flight crew were not particularly friendly and just were not attentive. We were served cold meals, not initially given any cutlery, and served wrong beverage orders. Seats are not comfortable, especially for long haul flights, and there is basically no offered in/flight entertainment. Fortunately they did have a WiFi service which did seem to work for streaming and connecting kids tablets, but if you were not prepared you were left scrambling. Mix that in with the strike concerns leading up to flights, it made for a less than ideal flight (especially when comparing it to similar class in Air Canada for the outbound flight). Third flight with WestJet but not necessarily planning on booking again.
Westjet never disappoint always terrible small plane ,crowded cheap snack if you can call it snack
Westjet was late and we missed our connecting flight with Cathay. Had to wait 8 hours. Westjet only allows 1 checked in baggage for international flights- it’s always been 2. Canada allows only 1 sandwhich bag size full off small liquids. Everything else will be tossed. Awful trip. Will never fly west jet or go to Toronto to connect flights!
I thought the coffee was excellent! The wait for the luggage was acceptable.. It left and arrived on time. My son found that his device worked very well and he really enjoyed his flight! The stewardess moved him up to the emergency exit and he very much appreciated that!
I wasn’t able to book or pay for a seat and they forgot to check me in for my third flight so I spent 24 hours in Toronto waiting for another one.
Everything was good except for flight delay, but it was because of the snow storm in the arrival airport.
The flight was cancelled less than 24 hours before departure. The alternate flight was a day later going from Grenada to Toronto to Vancouver to Calgary to Montreal. 2 days in the air. Not serious, Very bad service
I like the wider seats, Plus lots of legroom, Lacking entertainment, no tv or screen to play with

Great flight. Pilot was able to fully make up the 42 minute late arrival of the aircraft for an on time arrival in Toronto.
Check-in was a nightmare. Wouldn’t let us board with our dog even though he has flown on anir Canada before. Only one of us could go. Will never fly them again.
Flight got cancelled and didn't get another flight til late and almost missed the connection because so close. We are still waiting for the bags to arrive the next day.
Overpriced. Exploitative price gouging. Appreciated getting bumped up to a seat with more leg room though.
Announcements were unintelligible. Entertainment system was non-existent. Ground crew kept changing story for flight delay.
After waiting for hours of delays, the flight was canceled. We missed our flight to Iceland from Toronto. We tried for hours to get a reasonable replacement flight, but it was the next day before we could even schedule another flight days later. We had to cancel our anniversary trip because we could not get to Iceland on time to keep our reservations. We won’t be flying Air Canada again as they just don’t have the infrastructure to deal with cancellations.
Flight was delayed due to crew/co-pilot change over delay and Pearson scheduling issue. Flight didn't leave until 20:05 which was 15 minutes before it was supposed to land in YYZ.
Because you didn't have the tarmac clear and then had to unboard a plane I missed my connecting flight to CLE. Cost me a day ... a 30 dollar hotel hamburger ... then the next day THAT flight was an hour late to arrive ...
First of all the flight departing from Deer Lake was delayed for 4 hours due to a problem with the plane. Secondly, I am 6ft 2 inches tall, which is not that tall nowadays, but I had no leg room despite having nothing under the seat in front of me. When the person in front of me reclined his seat just a little bit I could not lower my tray all of the way; it rested on my knee not in a horizontal position. Thirdly, I am tired of Air Canada not reinforcing carry on baggage sizes. On the outgoing flight from Toronto to Deer Lake we had trouble finding space in the overhead bins. Some people were putting luggage in them that were definitely larger than carry on size. Airlines should have all carry on luggage checked (using those gadgets designed for that) before one enters security perhaps at the baggage checking counters. Having it there won’t delay boarding and will put the onus on people to follow the luggage size limits.
The only problem that I have is if you have questions about your flight ✈️ there's no one to communicate with when you call 📱.
Contacting Canada air was a disaster. I will never fly Canada air again. If you called their 1-800 number, you were told that you might have to stay on the line for two hours. That is a disgrace. You should be able to speak to a human within the first 10-15 minutes. I went over to a cluster of phones and a lot of people were on hold with Canada air for 2-3 hours. This is why I will never fly Canada air again.
