Flight was fine but took off late by an hour with no explanation of why. Then when I arrived in Toronto rather than helping me get to my connecting flight they bumped me and several Others off the plane even though we made it to the gate before the plane left. They offered a hotel voucher overnight which was nice but they should have just held the flight for us - since there were multiple people connecting to it.

called for boarding groups 1 and 2, but when we got there, they were only taking group 1. would be nice if they were more clear. otherwise, solid flight.
Really old ✈️ plane, needs maintenance inside. Crew was excellent.

Cons: "The seating in economy is becoming ridiculous. At 5'6" 110 lbs. I am not a "big" person. I feel jammed in the seat and, with passengers behind complaining when my seat is reclined, my bad back threatened to leave me to hobble off the plane. The continuing reduction in seat size and leg room is becoming ludicrous."

Cons: "How do you loose bags between the gate and customs Being tied up in customs because they lost my bags when we arrived in Toronto. One and one half hour wait and the bags never arrived at the final destination for two more days.? The seats on a fifteen hour flight could stand to be better."

Pros: "What did I like? Not much. We kept hearing over the PA about how Air Canada had been voted Number One airline in North America in 2017 but I was blowed if I could work out why. I have travelled quite a bit both Stateside and overseas and can tell you that AC does not come up to the standard set by Qantas or Southwest here in the States."
Cons: "It felt as if the seats were even closer together than on the flight out. It was tight! It was the second leg of a flight from Taiwan and having experienced the extraordinary politeness and courtesy of the Taiwanese it came as a rude shock when the hefty AC (female) attendant banged the back of my seat, exhorting us with a "Would you guys get your seat backs up straight for meal service". The tea was pretty grim too and I suspected it had been made in a coffee pot."
Pros: "I can't fault Air Canada Cabin crew - they are absolutely wonderful. I had a situation with a woman who decided she wanted to take my window seat and the cabin crew was amazing with how they handled the situation. They are always so friendly, attentive."
Cons: "Boarding at Frankfurt airport was God Awful. The supervisor there was so rude to people, treating us all like cattle. The boarding process was unorganized, confusing, we were getting conflicting instructions from staff and then verbally abused by the supervisor there."

Cons: "The flight was delayed several hours. The rows are way too close together to be remotely comfortable, and the seats themselves are tiny and barely recline. Being 5 months pregnant, I was uncomfortable the entire flight. The "entertainment" that you have to download an app for didn't work, and particularly stung knowing how much we paid for the flights, and that other airlines simply put a TV on the back of each seat that is easy to connect headphones and view. The food on our previous flight had been so terrible we didn't bother on this trip, but it looked equally awful. My husband was in the aisle seat and the flight attendant repeatedly and without warning hit him with the cart. The flight attendants varied in level of friendliness, but the ones in our row rushed through service, and did not give us the options the other row had (ice in drinks, veggie or meat options). All in all, it was kind of a terrible flight experience."

Cons: "I didn't travel with children, but if I had done they would have needed entertaining. The crew offered iPads (to rent) for the entertainment of children and adults alike. Why can these not just be given to passengers, better still BRING BACK SCREENS IN SEATBACKS!!!"

Cons: "The flight arrived early, and the pilot told us there would be a ten minute or so delay because there was no gate available. This turned into an hour and twenty minutes of taxiing before arriving at the gate."
Cons: "I had to eat a big pizza from outside.. nonsense food and only water being served 24/7 as if I am from a desert..bullshit."
Pros: "We were eventually given meal vouchers. We also ended up staying an extra night on their coin since we had to miss our connecting flight.We were treated fairly but slowly. We would have had an eight hour transit in Vancouver but with the new flights there was one hour connection. With the replacement flight also late our luggage did not make it and we were not informed until we reached Australia."
Cons: "There were little babies and young children waiting with their parents to board this flight. Would have liked more consideration for them but the little ones all behaved so well! Updates were slow and then we had to pick up our luggage and wait in an area where there were no seats so we had to sit on the hard floor (or stand) for a long time."
Pros: "It would seem that if you are seated toward the rear of aircraft the likely hood of your overhead storage compartment being available to you are pretty remote. There doesn't seem to be any adherence to baggage size regulations and consequently passenger start jamming their bags in other people's allotted compartments. The problem seems to cascade the further back in the plane you go. Very fxxking annoying and you are left holding the bags so to speak!"

We hadn't so we had to wait sometimes while they located one for us. As we had long layovers (so mom could rest) this wasn't a problem for us, but with shorter turn around times it could be an issue."

Cons: "The seats have no room, most of the planes don't have entertainment systems even on transatlantic flights (or they charge for an iPad), the food is terrible (when compared to other airlines), they didn't turn on the air during boarding which made the cabin very uncomfortable. The bathrooms were also not kept clean which is a problem for flights over 9 hours."

Pros: "We really appreciated their attentiveness towards my mother who needed wheelchair assistance. We were both very impressed with the flight, crew, even the luggage was out in minutes after our arrival at the baggage claim. Thank you for your professionalism!"
Cons: "We upgraded to the bulk-head seats for the long 12-hour flight. The seat I had (second from the aisle) had the bolted framework (where the computer screen tucked into) sticking out. Since I'm short, this really interfered with my left leg room. On a normal flight, this probably wouldn't have even mattered, but since it was a 12-hour+ flight, and I paid an extra $120 to upgrade to that seat, it was a little disappointing. But, again, a small complaint to the great service we received."
