Pros: "The crew was attentive but only on the basic standard service."
Cons: "I truly love that there are very few travelers. Also, I went through a lot getting to have done a covid test in order to travel, no one asked for it! Also when filling the custom forms they could have been and explain that one paper form was enough for a whole family"

Cons: "TAP does not check your bags all the way through if you are having a layover. This makes NO SENSE and requires that you retrieve your luggage from baggage claim, and then check in once more and then another trip through security once again! This never happens in the US - one of the few things we get right. Also, I have never had to board a plan from the tarmac since 1970 in the US - why do we have to always wait for and take buses from our check in gate out to the flight line? And how is this ever considered, "Premium Boarding?" It's like a cattle car. Fix these things and I will sing the praises of TAP forever."

Cons: "Seats were atrociously uncomfortable for a 6'1" man. Less than zero leg room due to ridiculously tight row spacing and non-reclining seatbacks. Had to attempt to cram in sideways - resulting in serious pain by the time the flight finally landed. Intercom system, especially from the captain, was painfully grating and loud. Boarding was extremely slow, in part because gate personnel made no effort whatsoever to police and enforce the four-group boarding process (premium - no carry-on - group A - group B). People boarded whenever they felt like it, many carrying on huge backpacks and multiple other pieces. Will definitely avoid TAP in future."

Cons: "The crew did not know the law about child safety seats. They tried to inform us we could not use it, even though it is approved for air travel. Then they tried to tell us we had to face it forward, which is illegal and it cannot be secured like this. Then they told us the car seat needed to be against the fuselage, but that all the fuselage seats were taken. They did not offer a solution to this problem. I informed them this was TAP's fault for assigning those seats to us. They said they were not responsible, which is clearly wrong. They could have reassigned us at check-in and avoided the problem. They were very concerned about the ability of the person in front of us to recline their seat, but no interested at all in the safety of our baby. They told us we would not be able to use the seat, although our baby was already asleep. They were trying to find a way to make us leave the plane. Finally, some other passengers volunteered to move so we could sit against the fuselage with nobody in the seats in front of us, so we would not block them from reclining. A solution would not have been found by the crew. Only thanks to generous passengers were we able to stay on the plane, even though we were doing everything completely legally. They made my pregnant wife feel so bad that she cried for the first hour of the flight. Then, as the flight was concluding, our baby got airsick and vomited. They crew did nothing to help aside from bring 3 (!) napkins and then leave again. Incredibly unhelpful, mean, ignorant, and combative cabin crew. Truly appalling."

Cons: "Boarding at Lisbon airport was one of the worst experiences. Passengers were asked to line up at least 30 minutes before boarding started and it was hot in the terminal. As boarding started, passengers were split into groups by boarding zones...premium passengers boarded first as expected, then people with small bags. This is where the problem was because a group of four passengers who had one small bag (that could fit under seat) were allowed to go before passengers in boarding zones A/B. The whole idea is people who could fit bags under their seat would board first, but the tap team made a mess and allowed many passengers with large bags in as well. I was one of the last ones to be boarded and stranded on the line for over 40 minutes with my backpack...after traveling for a month and being delayed in Rome, last thing you want is stupid mistakes like this to cause you stress."

Cons: "First of all, I would like to start by saying that I flight with TAP very often. I guess you can check on your system. I had good experiences in the past and actually recommeded to friends/family. I hope this flight was an exception. A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."

Cons: "We had to pay $200 each way to check in a luggage and just pick regular seats. That was not clear when we bought tickets. Additionally, they don't announce the gate until 30min before boarding. If you're going through passport control that can be a 45min process. On top of that even though I paid $100 to reserve seats, when we arrived at the gate the seats we reserved weren't reserved. Why did I just pay $100?! Luckily I had receipts. Our connecting flight was delayed 4 hours, making our layover 7 hours! For an hour flight. This is the worst airline."

Pros: "Flight was delayed leaving Newark so we missed our connection in Portugal which was supposed to take us straight to Venice. Instead TAP gave us a replacement flight to Madrid and then from Madrid to Venice A FLIGHT WITH TWO STOPS IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR PAID FOR. Madrid was also delayed and we missed our connection to Venice. We got a new flight from Madrid to Venice and had to wait 5 hours for it. A trip from New Jersey to Venice ended up taking OVER 24 HOURS!!!! Due to the disgraceful disorganization and service of TAP PORTUGA we missed our best friends rehersal dinner a memory we would have loved to have. Extremely disorganized, terrible customer service OH AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR BAGS TWICE to get reimbursed later but I don’t believe anything Tap Portugal says so we’ll see. Staff advice did not align and they were unapologetic for the experience we received."

Cons: "The hospitality of the airline crew is very poor as they are extremely rude to their customers. The planes I flew on were very out of date and not comfortable for international travel. I have flown on many airlines, but these planes were by far the worst. Cheap price, for a reason. The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

Cons: "I don't think I have ever rated any service negatively, but here's my first. TAP completely ruined my birthday trip that I have saved up for a long time for. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM! I had a valid Schengen tourist visa issued by the Consulate of Portugal. At the time of visa issuance, the printer of the Consulate was not functioning, so part of the visa information was hand-written, but it was properly signed and stamped. The Consulate told me it's valid and said they have been doing so for ten years. The Consulate also said that they, not the airlines, have the sole authority to determine the validity of the visa. When I went to the airport to check in with TAP, TAP staff denied me boarding because they did not believe my visa was valid. I only learned later that this action was inconsistent with TAP's own internal policies. The staff at the kiosk told me that I could either ask for a refund or rebooking of the ticket. But when I called TAP the next day, I was told I could not get a refund even though they should not have denied me boarding. I called TAP many times and got a different answer each time. They simply refuse to compensate me for their own mistake. It's the most horrible travel experience I've ever had!"

Pros: "Uma antiga queixa minha era o tratamento dispensado pela tripulação da TAP aos passageiros. Muitas vezes faziam o seu serviço sem paciência e até mesmo de forma rude. Nos meus últimos 3 vôos pela TAP, a tripulação vem se mostrando muito mais cordial e até mesmo divertida, sendo bastante simpática. Ainda pode melhorar? Claro que sim, mas agora não tenho mais "medo" de pedir um copo d'água a mais para os comissários."
Cons: "Sei que a tendência dos vôos low cost é não oferecer muito conforto aos passageiros, mas o espaço entre as cadeiras está ridículo até mesmo para pessoas com estatura mediana como eu (1,80 m). A poltrona, apesar de não reclinar, era até confortável, mas os meu joelhos ficaram espremidos pela poltrona da frente. Sem contar que, para um vôo de 3h, deveria ser disponibilizado algum entretenimento, mesmo que através do wifi (como já fazem as cias. brasileiras - se no Brasil já fazem, qualquer país do mundo é capaz de fazer!)"

Cons: "This event refers to my TAP flight from Lisbon to Heathrow on 21-Jan-2018. We arrived to the airport nearly 2 hours before departure time, waited 35min in the security checks and my girlfriend was held 20min in the passport control. While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"

After booking my flight on kayak I called TAP customer service just to make sure that everything was fine .I asked them about luggage they said I had 2 free and a carry on when I got to the airport said I had to pay for the 2 i said no told them that i called TAP they didn't wanna hear it i asked for the manager she I am the manager and you bought a discounted ticket and there's no luggage with this ticket only acarry on in a mean way if you want the you have to pay $90 for each I tried to call TAP can't get through them when they finally got through them the guy confirmed that I ve called it on the records but it said now it's too late to do anything I am already at the airport that I have to pay and contact them later. I wasted good hour and a half on this and I had to pay $180. After all that at the boarding gate they announced that they will call by zone .they called especial need called frequent flyers zone A never called zone B all they said last minute was this is the final call for flight #.... and I was right in front of them and guess who were the people making the announcement yep the same people at the check in counter"

Cons: "Where to start. No soap to wash your hands in the WC. Air conditioning dripping water to a seat next to us. They run out of on food option we wanted. The flight to Lisbon was delayed. The plain was dirty. One of out seats the entertainment system did not work. We alerted the crew, they did not do anything to remediate these problems. Only bad experience of the trip. Portugal deserves a better airline than this one. Last the best of all, $90 dollars per bag we checked in, so we spent $360 dollars just to carry our luggage."

Meols - two of them- stable and standard airline fare served quickly and efficiently by crew. Comfy seat with recline and tilt. Blankets and pillows provided as standard."

May as well have saved the money and used the terminal facilities No in flight magazine available to my seat for on board purchases and very little choice off goods on offer."

Cons: "The delay which caused us to miss our connecting flight and as a result being stranded at the Lisbon airport for 6+ hrs. This would have been avoided if there was proper communication within the airline-- an absolutely irresponsible way to handle our plight. The ground personnel themselves admitted that no one informed them of our arrival time. True or false? go figure.This all occured while they refused to allow us on board our plane that was still at the gate and nowhere near taking off. This also resulted in rescheduling our ground transfer, which resulted in additional expense. Overall, a nightmare of an airline. Avoid."

Pros: "The employees were very friendly."
Cons: "The food service was cancelled due to being short a flight attendant. We were initially advised that the food had not made it to the aircraft. Afterwards we saw the crew eating while we were left with no food or drink service. We then discovered that since they were short one crew member the crew would not serve food or drinks for "safety concerns". It turns out they could have served but preferred to adhere to their union under the guise of passenger safety and remain seated the entire flight doing crossword puzzles and the like which definitely made me feel much safer."

Pros: "I was lucky enough to be awarded an upgrade to Business Class on this flight... Relieving the tension of overbooking in economy..I guess my lucky day.."

Pros: "The staff was very nice. Only bad incident was the misinformation on getting the D Tax. We went early to the airport to do it but could not get it because of erroneous information form the check in agent."
Cons: "When we checked our bags the check in agent did not let us take out bags after getting the boarding pass so we could get the D Tax refund at Customs. She said it was not necessary. She was wrong. French customs wanted to see the merchandise which we no longer had. When we complained at TAP we were told do it in Lisbon. Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

Cons: "Very poor check in!! We checked two bags when we went to the desk to get our boarding passes.....then when we were boarding the plane, I went through without a problem but my wife was flagged. we were informed that we now had to pay for our checked bags..both of us even though I had already been cleared. 70 dollars was needed...and so with our flight ready to leave we had to just about run 250 meters and then back 250 meters to catch our flight....we are in our 60's!!!!!. If we had to pay we should have been told at check in! and to make matters worse both of our checked bags are carryon size...we only checked them because we thought it would be convenient. Given that it was not our mistake that bag fee should have been waived....very poor customer service to people who have flown TAP many times........"

Cons: "The boarding process could not have been worse. Both legs were delayed because of bag issues. One leg a significant portion of us had to get off the flight because there was not room for all the luggage. They made me a check my carry on bag because it was over small mediocre weight requirement even though lots of people had heavier bags. Then they LOST that bad for 2 days and it was a nightmare getting it back in another country. The second leg, a person whose bag was on board was unaccounted for, so we were delayed again."

Cons: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."

Pros: "This is the third time I fly with TAP and they are always late. Plane seats have zero legroom. TAP staff are not friendly and seem uncaring for the most part. If possible, I will not fly that airline again."
Cons: "My TAP flight from Lisbon to Madeira island was 2 hours late arriving so I lost all of my flight connections back to Boston and San Francisco. I was stuck in Lisbon Portugal for one extra day - was told to get out of the airport, then asked a bunch of people what to do, finally got in a very long line of people within a very hectic and loud airport full of travelers. 60+ people in a line being helped by only 2 rude counter staff. I waited in TAP member services line for 2 hrs and 30 minutes. They gave me a voucher to a motel and a taxi cab where I would have to spend the night. On my way back, I was diverted form Boston to Miami and the whole ordeal was unpleasant. It seems like TAP staff doesn't care about inconveniencing passengers. I overhead a conversation between a young 30+ year old TAP male staff wearing a dark blue sweater and dark blue pants belittling a British woman passenger. While waiting in line I was surprised to see how rude the counter TAP staff were to passengers who were frustrated that they lost their flight connections because of the TAP plane's late arrival. IF possible, I would never fly TAP again."

After waiting 45 minutes at the carousel for the luggage and another 35 at the priority desk I was informed that the luggage was not coming on the next flight but the next day. They apparently had run out of overnight bags so I had to buy a toothbrush and a t-shirt at the airport to sleep in. Now normally I would pack a carry on with the basic essentials for such a situation but this was a direct fight with 3 follow flights to the same destination..... I have no idea who votes for Air Canada or how many votes it takes to win the awards they keep claiming but there is something wrong..."

I reserved the tickets to Shanghai but there were no place reminding me that I need Canadian VISA to connect flights between two Canadian cities. I am a Chinese citizen who is working at USA and not allowed to change flights in Canada based on the newest government rules. However, in both booking systems, there is no reminders. In my opinion, either Kayak or Air Canada can add a simple checkbox to let the potential guest choose his or her nationality status, then this kind of trouble can be mitigated. We talked and called Air Canada people but no buying. They kept saying this is our responsibility. We bought United Airline tickets at the last minutes and cost us about $2,400 because we cannot wait to get back China to prepare our wedding ceremony and US Visa interview. We are very very disappointed with Air Canada and will keep complaining about this issue. As a service supplier, how cannot you think on behalf of a customer? The air company definitely knows more about government rules than a customer. We did have mistakes of not researching government rules. When we got on the flight, overhead bin was too small for my husbands carry on and a flight attendant whisked his bag away before we could ask where she was going. She came back without the bag and we asked where she had taken it- she had checked it without asking us if this would be ok. The bag was full of valuable breakables as well as our cash and cards. We asked if we could get the bag at the gate and she said it would come out on the carousel. So we spent 3 hours completely stressed out. Drinks were only served once the entire flight, more water should have been offered. When we got off the plane one of our bags had gone missing. We had to wait 2 days to have it delivered. It was delivered at 4am in the morning. Overall compared to the previous United flight, Air Canada has lots of room for improvement."

The confusion & wait time pretty distressing to most people in line. I had 4 hours to the next flight so wasn't worried, but waited 1 hour in line in the airport hallway before getting in to present information to security. Situation at airport is not good at all. I'd try to avoid Pearson as a transit point if I could, in the future. The music channels were so distorted I couldn't listen to any of the offerings. Too bad about that, but it didn't ruin the flight. Arrival in Zurich was on time and easy."

I decided to ask and the flight attendant said that "it took long to embark all the luggage and that it won't be very long". To which, I didn't understand what one thing had to do with the other since that shouldn't be the cause to why we are paralized on the track but I just left it like that. Instantly after she walks to the back, they announce that they there was a problem with the A/C and that we had to wait to have a spot near a gate sothat we could go back and and a mecanic could come and fix it. After it took for ever... they finally fixed it but now we had to wait for gas. At this point, whitin those three hours, only one glass of water was offered to us and no appology. Thankfully, we finally took off, 3 three hours and a half behind schedule. They started to serve food and drinks to first class people and were completely taken care of but no attention to all the other passengers. At this point it's been 5 hours that we are on this plane and it seems that the service was extremly slow to get us hydraded or been offered anything to eat. My flight was 4hours away from Montreal to Calgary initiallyT And this whole event made it an 8hour travel with, the fact being completely ignored by the crew and nothing being offered for customer satisfaction. The pilot only said a small "we apologize" after we had already landed. It isn't the first time that I fly with this company and I find that it used to be one of the top companies in Quebec but the service and the quality have deteriorated overtime. There is always something negative that happens when I fly with them and I've noticed that the customer service isn't really present. It's okay but since it doesn't seem to matter to them, I will no longer fly with this company. (P.S.: this whole event caused me to miss the last bus to my final destination and have to wait at the airport until the next day at 9:30am to take the first bus in the morning... luckily I only work in the afternoon.)"

The guy next to me was an elderly, portly Portuguese man, and because the seats are so narrow, he was spilling over into my seat (no fault of his own). Neither of us could nap And the fare was not particularly cheap at $580 one way. It was truly horrible. I arrived exhausted and am still recovering from jet lag"

The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

Cons: "They canceled my flight because of too few passengers and than rushed all the passengers on an earlier flight. I was driving from Philly and of course couldn't make the flight that was bumped up three hour early. Than they have the balls to accuse me of being late and thus a no show. I have many witnesses that prove I was there on time. But no reschedule for me unless I pay a 1000 usd. I will sue these bastards with a passion. To an extend they have never seen. Not only a refund but loss of business as well"

Pros: "Crew were lovely. Economy seats were pretty comfortable, with legroom. They allow one free checked item. Free food!"
Cons: "I ordered a vegan meal and got pasta with cheese. We were half an hour late taking off."

Pros: "I guess I liked that my flight was only delayed for 1 day rather than 3-4 like other people!"
Cons: "We arrived at Logan airport to find a mass of people waiting to check in for the flight. Turns out, Azores Airlines flights had been being cancelled all week and many people had been stranded in Boston (and likewise in the Azores) for days. The local news was even filming a story about the mess while we were there. The monitors above the check in desks did not have any information and there didn't really appear to be a line. No employees were around to explain what was going on. Eventually an announcement was made that our flight was cancelled and to come back the next day. Still no info on the monitors at the airline desks or on the main airport arrivals and departures board, which continued to show the flight as on time the duration of our time at the airport. I had the app on my phone which also showed the flight as being on time. After the cancellation announcement people stayed in line to get hotel vouchers, but since my husband and I live in Boston we weren't sure if there was another part of the process to get new tickets issued or something. After waiting a long time in which the line never moved I was eventually able to check in with an employee who said we didn't need to do anything, just come back tomorrow. When we got home we were able to catch the news broadcast mentioned earlier in which passengers from the earlier flights were explaining how they kept being told to come back to the airport day after day and nothing happened, so I wasn't reassured! The next day we arrived at Logan and things started out smoothly. We were able to check in and get through security. The flight got delayed a few times after that. Boarding was a mess. People started lining up. While we waited, we noticed people at the gate desk in line. It turned out to be people getting reimbursed for their taxis. There was no announcement made and I think this delayed things further since they didn't start this until boarding was starting despite having had hours to do this prior! After people were already lined up to board it was announced that they would board by "sequence number" on the ticket so we stepped out of line only to have them not check numbers at all. In the end we took off about 26 hours after we were supposed to. The flight itself was a sort of charter flight, the airline basically rented a plane and crew to get us over to the Azores. However, we did take the Azores Airline flight back so I know the food would have been mediocre and there wouldn't be in seat entertainment. I would love to return to the Azores but I'm not sure I would unless Azores Airlines steps up their game! Definitely get trip interruption insurance! We were thankfully able to get reimbursed for accommodations and rental car missed days."

Pros: "Crew was nice enough"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours causing me to miss my connecting flight upon arrival in Lisbon. No in flight entertainment, only one meal served, no spot to plug in electronics, and the bathroom door was broken and didn't lock. I would suggest paying a little more for a better and more reliable airline."

Pros: "SATA was very hospitable when our flight was delayed into the next day. They provided a hotel and dinner/breakfast vouchers."
Cons: "The App proved to be useles when our flight was delayed 14+ hours. We were able to check in the day of the flight, but were never alerted when the flight was delayed. We called customer service and waited on hold for 30+ minutes without connecting, even though the automated message said the wait would be 6 mins. Communication as a whole was quite poor and created a lot of anxiety amongst the visibly upset travelers."

Pros: "the crew were nice and the food was free"
Cons: "Because we didn't get the required boarding passes in Barcelona (and didn't know we needed them) when we got to the Azores we had to run around through additional passport control, to the ticket desk because the gate agent had no means of issuing a boarding pass, back through security, through more passport control. Stupid. The plane itself was really uncomfortable, and being stuck in the tiny seats surrounded by screaming children, with no wifi or in-flight entertainment was torture."

Cons: "The flight was delayed due to "technical issues" two hours. This seems to be a consistent thing with SATA and Azores Airlines. The crew was rude when my bag did not fit in the cabin and they had to move it, too."

Pros: "The flight crew was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with our 3-year-old son. He keeps asking to go on plane again because of how attentive they were and made his trip very enjoyable."
Cons: "No entertainment at all. The seats could have more recline as it was an overnight flight and nearly impossible to sleep. The trays for business class are so close that it is awkward and uncomfortable to use."

Cons: "The airport in Lisbon was terrible. Got bussed 20 minutes to get to terminal and had to wait 2 hours in line to get through passport line. Could not find my bag, finally found it in a heap to the side. My friend traveling Air Canada had no trouble same day same time."

Cons: "Was too tired and worn out to really care after the long delay. Won't fly this airline again."

Cons: "The delay of over 12 hours was terrible. I'm sure most people will complain as everyone was furious. The staff didn't provide any guidance towards what the problem was or how long we could be waiting. Their communications were guesses at best."

Pros: "Nothing. We didn't take this flight because of the SATA airline strike which left us stuck in Ponta Felgada for 2 days."
Cons: "We were majorly inconvenienced when finding out our flight was delayed, then cancelled completely, the. It happened again the next day. Lost 2 days of our trip whih were supposed to be in Lisbon. We found a Ryanair flight to Porto just to get to the mainland. What a nightmare. Never flying with Azores/SATA again!!"

On date of departure reseated in middle section though previously booked window seats. 2 after arriving in Portugal informed return flight was cancelled due to crew strike. Told we can wait in Portugal or rebook on new airline. You can't make this stuff up."

Pros: "It was a economical flight. The food was pretty good as well."
Cons: "We had changes to pretty much every leg of our flights. One was delayed by 2.5 hours. I understand that flights get delayed but they hardly gave us any information as to what was going on. The flight was pretty smooth but the flight attendants didn't seem interested in our comfort. They weren't rude but they weren't pleasant either. I guess I'm used to a different style of service that I did not receive on Azores."

Pros: "The food was good. I enjoyed the flight. Though I've felt that I received less than I usually do from international flights but maybe just because this was shorter. No extra bull you don't need like an over night bag (that I've been given on other airlines for over night flights) but if you're expecting it, it may be a bit of a let down. My flight was just under 6 hours so maybe it's too short for that. They served a meal and a half. A full dinner, dessert and appetizer with wine. A muffin with coffee for breakfast. The dinner was surprisingly great. I actually really loved it. The muffin was just a plain blueberry muffin purchased from the store. Just a quick half meal before leaving."
Cons: "Well I had planned to go take a course in Porto which was the whole reason I bought this flight. I missed everything i came here for because of it. They reimbursed people and put people up in hotels, but not me. My trip was ruined essentially due to the cancellation of my first flight but the flight itself, when it did go, was good."

Cons: "Very little water was served. I was dehydrated by the time I landed at my destination. There was zero form of entertainment provided. I'm accustomed to having movies and music as options for entertainment, especially on international flights."
