Cons: "To begin, our flight was delayed an hour into Toronto. We asked the flight attendant about our connecting flight and they said they would find an answer. It ended up that we landed just as the flight was scheduled to leave. Why they could delay pur flight but would not hold another flight by 20 minutes is very questionable. Then we got to customer service, the rep told us that we could only get on the next flight going out tomorrow at the same time which meant 24 hours lost. Of our vacation- which hotels already booked and tours already booked. When I asked if there was anyway we could get in earlier the service person told me "I should be grateful because some people have had to wait multiple days to get to their destinations." When we finally did board the flight the next day we were not served any food, no snacks, and no drink for the entire overnight flight."

Cons: "I was stuck up against the back galley with no armrest on the aisle but that was only the beginning when the guy in front reclined his seat the seat back it was dangerously close to my head. In the event of turbulence it would have been easy to sustain a massive blow to the head from the seat in front of me during a whiplash type motion. The person that approved this seating arrangement should be terminated."

Pros: "Aircraft was originally booked solid, but a last minute change of aircraft switched us to a larger aircraft so everyone could spread out and get a little more room. Crew was energetic, enthusiastic and pleasant. Overall the flight was above average, mainly due to the friendliness of the crew."
Cons: "Leg room in economy is always an issue (I'm 6'4"). Thankfully this flight was not booked solid and there was no one sitting in that dread middle seat. The food was Mediocre at best. We ordered a pizza for lunch, the toppings apparently shifted in flight and the cheese and pepperoni slid off the crust and was sitting on one side of the box with the crust on the other... (Advice - Stick with sandwiches, crackers and cheese, etc. instead of the hot meals on Air Canada)."

Pros: "I really liked that there were free in-flight movies/tv and that everyone had their own screens so you could choose what to watch or you could have a map pulled up on the screen to show you how far you have travelled and how much further you have left to travel."
Cons: "There wasn't any food offered, no free peanuts/pretzels or food to buy. It wasn't the end of the world or anything but it seemed kind of odd to me. It's also a good thing that I had a movie option because if I didn't then my entire flight would have been filled with the sounds of some children's show that was blasting from a parents laptop and could be heard throughout the entire plane. I was really surprised that none of the flight attendants either asked them to turn it down to a reasonable volume or requested that they give the child headphones."
Cons: "Someone else was sitting in our seats and when asked they said they had lost their boarding pass and hence don't know their seat number. I called the flight attendant for help and he checked our boarding passes and asked us to wait at the back of the plane. He stood there for another 10-15 minutes and we were not helped. Finally, another flight crew member came down to the back and asked us to sit in a row almost to the back with barely any legroom. I am 6'2" and was cramped into the seat. It was horrible!!"

Cons: "It was much warmer in the middle of the plane than towards the front of the plane. I had requested the assistance of the crew several times by pushing the button [which lit up the light above my seat] but there was never a response. Only when they passed by my seat would I be able to get their attention by flagging them down. My seat was broken and trouble shooting was not an option for the crew."
Cons: "The flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for more than 3 hours and there was not even a drink offered for the inconvenience."

Cons: "AC website states for US and Canada allow 120 mins. We arrived to the airport 130 mins inadvance. We had no checkin bags but we almost missed our flight. (Many people did miss our flight). You need to allow at least 2 -3 hrs for US security checks. Because we almost missed our flight, we didn't have time to purchase food preboarding and the selection in the plane was very limited. My partner is 6'1 and the seat was extremely uncomfortable for him and it was not in our budget to upgrade. There was no free entertainment in the plane. You needed to rent a tableT!"

Cons: "I am handicapped. Requested a wheel chair from the curb . Upon arrival, no wheel chair. we waited and waited. Then my friend went and got a wheel chair for me. we then joined our two friends, who also had wheelchairs. however, they had first class and was taken immediately to the first class lounge. I was waiting forever behind the check-in desk in Vancouver. I then put my bags on my chair and used the chair like a walker! Still no help. When I asked for help I was told that I was early and I could wait. Not the right answer. I was told to be at the airport 2 1/2 hrs. early which I was. Until I got to the woman at the boarding desk at E84, I was treated terribly. Since we travel with our friends we had hoped to at least see them. No way. Air Canada mad sure of that. also Not a peanut unless we spent money!!!"

Then to find out we were delayed do to mechanical failure. Which still left us no time to grab something besides a bag of chips because there was nothing but mostly bars in that terminal."
Cons: "A very rude boarding agent insulted a young man from another country who was boarding in front of me. He misunderstood that they wanted him to check his luggage instead of carry it on. The agent yelled at him and shamed him in front of other passengers. United strikes again!! Seriously folks, you suck!"
Pros: "Couldn’t get clearance to leave because bathrooms didn’t pass?? Why would it take another hour when the plane had already been there an hour and a half"
Pros: "The app promoted me to check in on my phone and would not allow me to check in. So I assumed the time on the ticket would be my boarding time. I was late for my flight."
Cons: "My 10:00 p.m. flight was canceled so I had to spend the night trying to sleep in the airport. Have you ever had to do that? Not fun."

Cons: "I always feel a bit crowded in United flights, the seats are very close. Tried to used the free inflight entertainment and it didn’t work in my computer, which was a bummer. The arm rest was sticky."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and responsive. Gate crew kept passengers informed of the delays. Flight itself was ok."
Cons: "Flight ETD was 8:25 but plane developed a mechanical problem. After about 20 minutes waiting for maintenance the Captain decided to go back to the gate for fuel and repairs. After maintenance came on board the decision was made to deplane. Finally, a plane from Chicago was scheduled to take us to San Diego. After boarding at about 12:30, it was discovered that catering never loaded food. We waited for over an hour for food to be delivered. At close to 2pm the Captain, who kept us aware of what was going on, asked us if we would agree to leave without a full delivery of food, and all agreed. So by 2pm we were finally enroute to San Diego but having a seat in the back meant we only got to eat what was left, which for me, was a small cheese pack."

Cons: "Had no power in the seat which is an issue on a 6 hour flight. There was no meal provided or first drink even though I am a premier member. United is so cheap and the service shows it."

Cons: "Crowded seats. Too many people bringing huge bags on board even when crew kept asking them to check them. Customs was very long in DC. It would have been nice to been made aware of dowloading customs app before deplaning. It would have saved a huge amount of time."

Pros: "We were forced to re-book this leg of our trip because of "insufficient" layover time. The United Airlines staff helping the numerous customers that were forced to re-book were not friendly, did not function with any sense of urgency and were as minimally helpful as possible with the inconvenience. After exiting customs we had 30 minutes to get to our gate, instead of offering to take us to the front of the line to get through security faster we were simply told we would not get through it in enough time to make our flight. Initially we were not even told we were going to be re-booking our flight, we were only told that we needed to re-check our bags at the counter after exiting customs. The entire interaction was very frustrating."
Cons: "I don't usually write reviews but my flight check in experience was awful. The woman checking the tickets while boarding was incredibly curt and rude to the old man in front of me (who clearly had an issue with his ticket that was not his fault), then when she got to me she took a look at my bag and said "it's huge I need to check that". It's a bag that I have carried on to hundreds of flights (feel free to look at my flight history with united) and definitely fits in to the over head. When I asked her "is it too big or is there no space?" she said "no space" without even looking at me. I proceeded to board the flight only to find tons of over head compartment space. This is very frustrating. She didn't even take the time to fit my bag in the measuring tool at boarding. She seemed to be in a rush for no reason. The flight was already delayed and being rude wasn't going to make it go any faster. I'm now a silver status member, likely to be gold by the end of the year. I've flown a lot, and I think it's totally reasonable to expect at least some level of politeness while boarding."
Cons: "I saw my bag come out of the baggage claim ripped open. My stuff coming out. My zipper was complety destroyed and my locking mechanism on my bag was ripped off even though it wasn't locked."

Pros: "The crew that bothered to show up were fine, not overly friendly as they SHOULD have been due to the extreme delay."
Cons: "I checked in online and printed my ticket a few hours before my flight, so I was dropped off at the terminal where my gate was supposed to be. THEN after I get through security, I find out my gate has been changed to another terminal- one for international flights. I had to walk for 30 minutes with my heavy carry-on to find the correct gate. Then the flight was so incredibly delayed because a flight attendant decided to just not show up for work. So unprofessional! If the flight had been delayed because of uncontrollable conditions, then that would be another story, but come on! A flight attendant not showing up for work? That's pathetic."

Cons: "I purchased two tickets for premium economy. United issued us economy seats and required payment to upgrade to economy plus. In addition the flight was 5 hours late. Very unhappy with United and would not do this again. SAS was great. United did not honor our ticket for Premium economy purchased through SAS."
Pros: "Didn't fly to San Diego-got rerouted to LAX instead. Had I continued to San Diego I would have landed almost 6 hours later than my previous arrival time all because of delays at the gate in Harriaburg. An original 30 minute delay from weather is understandable, and by the time the aircraft arrives you'd think they'd be ready to deplane and get it rolling quickly. Nope, not all. I think it was amateur day in Harriaburg because it was like no one knew what to do and nobody could make their minds up."

Cons: "Delayed flight so they transferred us to American which turned out to be delayed and we missed our connection in LA and had to stay the night. They could not find us on the computer system because of the transfer. We took the train home at our own expense. Not happy with costumer service. There was a lack of efficiency and care. We were in the air for 4.5 hours but spent two whole days traveling. No thank you united and American!"

Cons: "-The flight was delayed with only vague information given out at the gate. We were told three different times we would be boarding, but only to be told we were experiencing a delay again. + If the gate announcements included apologies with, or even instead of, the inaccurate boarding calls it would have made a difference. -The passenger compartment was about 15 degrees hotter than the airport and it never really cooled off. The front WC was out of service and created a long line for the only other WC on the plane, which you sometimes you would stand in when turbulence would hit. This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable commercial flights I have taken since 1991. I had to call out of work due to the stress the flight put on some of my joint injuries."

Cons: "They change our gate 3 times and one of those times had us walk back to entire different concourse. Then it took forever once we got on the actually plane and we had no air, it was so hot. The ride was bumpy and the air was again not very strong so we are hot and bouncing around. Finally, we get to San Diego and....they change our baggage claim. United needs to get it together or at least give us a free drink when they can't get organized."

Cons: "Chaotic self-service check in at IAD, shifting airline responsibilities (like attaching baggage tags), to passengers; boarding extremely slow; new seats uncomfortable, with seriously reduced storage in seat-back; to watch movies you have to pay for DirectTV. A race to the bottom on service in all respects."
Pros: "The airplane was new and clean"
Cons: "The pre-boarding staff were rude and not helpful. I had requested an aisle seat when I booked my flight. Somewhere along the line, my seat was changed to a middle seat. When I asked the staff if I could switch to an aisle seat to help accommodate my sciatica, they told me, "sorry, we can't help you, you'll just have to ask another passenger." Neither crew member was willing to work with me or hear my concerns. So much for flying the friendly skies...well I guess we were still on land, so may that principle had not yet taken effect."
Cons: "I have flown with United on many occasions, several of which were international flights however I was never more uncomfortable on a flight than I was in economy on my flight from ORD to SAN."

Cons: "Since plane was delayed I missed my connecting flight so I had to stay the night in the San Fran airport for over 7 hours. For another 1 hour flight. With no accommodations or even a food voucher was just told to find a nice corner."
Pros: "My mother is disabled and was assigned wheelchair assistance and does not speak English very very hopeful does not have a cell phone because she is disable and does not know how to use a cell phone I was calling the one 800 number for united airlines they gave me a phone number for the terminal where she was delayed and I was just trying to check to see if my mother was aware of what was going on with the delay I just need to know if my mother was OK to give her comfort but unfortunately the number they gave me was not working I was calling over 30 rings with nobody answering for over three hours O'Hare airport was very hopeless for united airlines it's a shame that that is their head quarters i'm pretty sure I will never ever use United Airline again in my life after the terrifying experience I had waiting over four hours from my mother besides the four hour flight I was very terrified until my mother was in my arms I never ever want to experience that again or I hopefully nobody ever that uses your United airline will ever experience that"
