Cons: "We were delayed leaving Quebec for the aircraft weight being to heavy and Porter had oversold the flight. They had to burn fuel from the plane while on the tarmac For awhile to make the weight restrictions. The flight was nearly 90 minutes late taking off, Once in the air the flight was nice."
Pros: "Friendly crew wick deplaning"
Cons: "$35 for a carryon is ridiculous. Do you really want your peer airline to be Spirit? Quote your all in price for fares."
Pros: "The crew was very attentive and the seats are comfortable. The waiting time is horrible...they are always late!"
Cons: "I like landing at Billy Bishop, it is very convenient and not too crowed but lately the common lounge has gotten so crowed that you can only seat on the floor. The flights are usually 2 hrs delayed sometimes 3 or 4 hrs delayed! so never plan on having a connecting flight on the other side of your tr"
Pros: "The crew was good and boarding was super efficient"
Cons: "No entertain on the plane. Since when YTZ offered no more complimentary drinks and some snack?"
Pros: "Amy was outstanding, she provided excellent service."
Cons: "I wasn’t notified that the basic fare didn’t include carry-on baggage. It was disappointing having to pay for checked baggage without notification."
Pros: "The cookies"
Cons: "They bumped our flight for no reason and we sat for 3 extra hours in Toronto as several flights to our destination passed"
Cons: "Buyer beware! When you buy this basic package, they charge $37 for your first bag and another $50 for your carry-on. I just paid $97 for one piece of luggage and a carry-on! This practically doubles the cost of the ticket. Not only false advertising, but highway robbery!"
Pros: "Quick check in and security. Good choice of on board service."
Cons: "The new US$35/direction checked bag fee is much higher than other airlines on the route, and makes porter the more expensive option. Some of the amenities at ytz (free coffee and drinks) are now gone."
Pros: "Great crew. Helped me move to a seat closer to the front as ones further back make me claustrophobic."
Cons: "I don’t like your new policy of not opening up fee free seats 24 hrs before the flight. You used to do that and now if you don’t pay the extra $25 you get stuck in the back row even though there are lots of available seats. You can do better than this Porter. Especially for loyal customers."
Cons: "My flight on 8/18 was canceled last minute without any explanation. There was no customer support what so ever. I couldn't book any flight for the same day or the day after. They automatically booked me for 8/20, two days after my scheduled trip. It didn't work for my schedule. I had to canceled it and they offered credit for future trips instead of refund. can't get anyone to answer the phone and there is no way to get questions answered online."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The city I went to was locked down due to covid. Neither the airline nor budget air helped me get a refund before the flight took off.. Still waiting to hear back..."
Pros: "Crew was accommodating and kept me and my family comfortable in the flight. Food was good"
Cons: "Free stuff like headphones and blanket which can be collected at the end of the flight"
Pros: "The plane was on time. Crew was informative."
Cons: "Could be more careful loading the luggage. Watched one of my bags drop out of the plane while loading and damaged the bag. Not impressed!"
Pros: "getting off flight they didn't tell me at gate checkin that I needed a specific tag to receive my double stroller at the gate upon arrival to yyz. so I arrived with my twins and all our stuff to have to carry one of them and deal with all kinds of trouble until we wereat luggage pickup. HORRIBLE"
Cons: "when gate checking strollers be more clear - I was travelling alone with twin 4 year olds ... to have to carry all the carry on luggage and deal with kids who are tired having the stroller after the flight at the gate would have been extra helpful which w=is what I had intended"
Cons: "We were fee'd to death. For example, this is the first time flying Air Transat where we had to pay extra for luggage and the cost was incredibly high! I feel ripped off."
Pros: "I liked having an empty seat next to me?"
Cons: "As a big guy, the person in front of my was reclining, and literally dug into my knees. I'm 6'3" so I'm not like abnormally large, but yeah. If there was someone sitting next to me this flight would have been absolutely horrendous. Also, no radio? No TV, what is this? the 80s? Earlier?"
Cons: "Exit seat wasnt a full exit seat just a slightly larger row and did not recline. Seats were smaller than usual too."
Pros: "L’équipage très serviable à l’ecoute et souriant"
Cons: "Pas d’ecran dans les appuie tête devant pour l’entertainment. Le siege n’a aucun ajustement pour la tête Et aucune prise usb pour charger nos appareils"
Cons: "As wheelchair handicapped female why put me in a window seat? near constantly screeming and crying and unruly children? Most unhappy and stressful experience..."
Cons: "absolutely no leg room for an average sized man. and forget about it when the person in front of you puts their seat back. ugh, and the food.....not good and expensive."
I would have liked to have gotten my E-tickets ahead of time, instead I had to wait in line at check in with only my printed flights on my receipt.
Boarding pass said to board at gate F 32 F32 posted a flight to a different city The board with info on many flights said we should board at gate F 34. We waited at gate F 34. Shortly before we were to board we got a text to go to gate F 32.
The plane was late boarding and late arriving. Apparently no gate available causing a missed connection and overnight stay in a city with no hotels available! Communication with Air Canada was horrible, status updates from employees was horrible (until it was too late), customer service attendants were very slow and acted like it was no big deal for people to miss holiday time with their families. Overall, Air Canada treatment was less than 2nd class.
The only thing is they left my suitcase in Montréal and it reck my food. My aunt made me some stuff because she is dying! No it’s in the garbage.
For the past few months, we would receive updates from Air Canada, constantly changing our flight time. Then at 4:30 a.m. on the day of our morning flight from Quebec City to Los Angeles, we got a text advising that the flight had been cancelled. When we went to the airport in Quebec City, the agent told us that there was nothing he could do. He tried to book us on the next flight (to Los Angeles, our destination), which would have resulted in hours of delay and a stop over in Chicago. Our original flight was non stop to LA. We insisted on speaking with his supervisor. That person told us that a computer glitch had occurred, which resulted in a mistaken flight cancelled message. He rebooked us on the original flight that we had and we were able to proceed. This supervisor was very helpful. When we got onto the plane, we noticed that a full one third of the seats were empty. Was that because of the same text we received? Who knows. We discovered that everything on our flight was at a cost - ear buds, food. This was a 5 hour flight and all they provided was water, coffee. I will never fly AC again if it can be avoided.
Air Canada issued our boarding passes online for booking number 24W72N flight from Toronto to Montreal on 29 July. The boarding passes were issued with the wrong flight number, 716 instead of 714 and we were not allowed to board. There was no flight 716 but there was no effort at the gate to see if that could be corrected. We had to goi to customer services desk and wait in line, missing our flight. In the meantime, Air Canada discovered their mistake and issued us new boarding passes for a later flight but then totally messed up the name of one of the passengers. When they found this out we don't know but we never received any notification from then. The ground crew were apoliogitic and said this had never happened before. They were able to override the second problem and reissue the passes.
Air Canada books those flights absolutely solid and cancels a lot of flights. Our connecting flight was delayed and missed so we spent another night in Montreal at our own expense. We were then given tickets with an extra stop in Toronto, so my luggage never made it to Detroit. They have no office in Detroit, so her I am a week out with no luggage and no one answers the phone at Air Canada. Now I know why everyone has so much carry on.
Flight was two hours delayed. Overall, I made it safely, so I am happy!
The seats were not very comfortable. The chicken snack I had was not very tasty, there was no live TV. The crew was very kind and caring.
I wanted to change the dates and couldn’t. Worst flight ever.
Pros: "The crew was very attentive and the seats were comfortable, which was my reason for upgrading to first class, I am tall with long legs, therefore leg room is a MUST for me...but the reurn flight from Memphis to Houston was HORRIBLE!!..PACKED FULL, NO leg room, NO A/C-seriously-Hot air and body odor!"
Cons: "The plane had no A/C!..it just circulated hot air mixed with stale body odor from previous flight!..no leg room and the flight was 100% full..CanadaAir regional jet..and the seats were all narrow, and we were in 1A, !B...totally disappointed!"
Pros: "Good pilots"
Cons: "Service is dismal and run down interior. Rips in seats. Lags way behind Asian or certain European airlines"
Pros: "The crew was good, the landing was fantastic, enjoyed the entertainment options."
Cons: "The space of the seats are tough, we were cramped and in tight quarters."
Pros: "The controlled and orderly way when boarding."
Cons: "The staff from the desk was unfriendly. On boarding no one showed you where your seat is located. The food was dreadful. The same aweful pasta meal on the outbound journey was served again. During the flight I was feeling very unwell I asked the flight attendant our axeick bag which she brought, but I was told to go to the toilet. She did not return to enquire after my well being. I was in the toilet for 5 minutes. Very uncaring. The tea was cold when served"
Pros: "NOTHING"
Cons: "I was not allowed on the flight despite spending two weeks planning and calling and organizing to get my emotional support animal onto the plane. After booking everything on the advice of airlines and agents they all gave me blatantly incorrect information and after admitting they were in the wrong would still do nothing because apparently nobody is responsible when I booked through an online agent (also done on the advice of lufthansa). I will be making sure someone provide compensation and takes responsibility for the monetary, emotional and time consuming disaster that has transpired. Thank you for nothing."
Pros: "Boarding went smoothly for the most part."
Cons: "7am flight from Baltimore to LAX. How late in the morning does it have to be to get a cup of coffee? No beverages were offered until approximately 3 hours into the flight. No free snacks or purchasable snack options were offered. UNITED PRIVATE SCREENING WAS TERRIBLE!! Neither my companion nor I were able to watch any program or movie without constant freezing and buffering on our 1 year old iPads. It took me 2 1/2 hours to watch a 90 minute movies. Pathetic. Not ready for prime time."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing."
Cons: "Getting in so late the rental car offices were closed"
Pros: "The aircraft was spacious and well appointed. The crew MEL to LAX were very friendly and offered food and beverages at regular intervals, and walked the aisles regularly in case the passengers needed anything..."
Cons: "On the LAX to MEL return flight, the crew were very unfriendly and only did the bare minimum, and basically just asked 'chicken or fish" and "what beverage do you want", then almost threw the food and drinks at the passengers. The obviously don't enjoy their job very much."
Pros: "They gave us free tv since we had to wait so long and they made us wait for an hour on the tarmac."
Cons: "We had a connecting flight from San Francisco that we missed due to their delays. We still don't know why it was delayed. They didnt give a clear or concise reason for the delays. Our flight landed a few minutes before our connecting flight departed and instead of holding the plane like they have done in other reviews I've read they actually took off early. We were automatically given tickets to the next flight out to our final destination (which was 6 hours later.) This was sucky but we didn't have control over it so we dealt with it. However when we went to customer service to print our new tickets we were "greeted" with two apathetic employees. The first one we didn't actually get to interact with because after waiting in line for 10 minutes when it was finally our turn he held his hand up to stop us from walking up to the counter and just left. No explanation just headed out. So we headed over to the "premier" line for a procedure that should literally take 3 minutes to interact with the next employee who made it somehow our fault that we were mildly upset with the situation. My father always told me United "sucks" we gave them a chance but we should have heeded his fatherly advice. Oh and a bonus my traveling partner has a broken pelvis so sitting around for hours on end was just salt to the wound."
Pros: "Plane is clean and on time"
Cons: "Only one working restroom for people on plane for over four hours. Full flight."
I don't like anything. The crew was so bad. Misbehaved badly. The worst flight.
Long wait for baggage check in with only one on site attendant.
The worst airlines I have seen in my life they don’t respect anyone they don’t care about anyone they lost our luggage and no one is responding. We waited for five hours to get our luggage back.🤬🤬🤬👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Great staff. Cramped seating for someone 5 feet, 2 inches and average weight. So if you're tall or heavy -- good luck. Even if you wait until the 24 hour checkin time, you still charge for seating. Really? So either it is a less-than-pleasant experience or pay the price of a "big name" airline. And if I'm going to pay their prices, why would I fly in your cramped seat? So, in the end, you want to give less comfort for the same prices as Air Canada. Go figure.
The airplane smokes and they think it's normal.... this is sign of deterioration
Flair aircraft smokes before takeoff... and this seem normal to air hostess..... smoking aircraft is not a good sign of safety
Flair’s customer service isn’t helpful at all and their refund is a scam
Everything was great. Got out 5 minutes early and had a nap on the overnight flight.
Wifi was down on this flight but I had a movie downloaded.
Horrific airline. This trip didn't even happen!! We got to the airport and were told at check-in that our tickets were canceled WITHOUT NOTICE! I begged the agents for more info and was told we were blacklisted for using a fraudulent credit card. The card was debit and the funds were already taken out! The desk agents all left, and we were left with zero solution. We had to book another flight with a different airline which cost us $2300 in addition to the $550 Flair already took from us. I have been on the line for 30 minutes to speak to an agent. Does not look promising. AVOID FLAIR AT ALL COSTS.
