They were also nice enough to give us a free dinner due to the inconvenience, and let us come off the plane to stretch our legs while we waited. Overall, excellent job handling something that was out of their control."

Not sure how far ahead they knew it was broken, but if they were able to tell me my flight would be delayed 3 hours earlier, I could have extended my vacation. Additionally, the selections on the Air Canada entertainment app are far worse than the Westjet ones."

Three days later, I still cannot get in touch with them."

Pros: "The price for the flight was right. Nothing can be done about the seat size. Food was ok. Comfort of seats ok. Not easy to recline. The etertainment helped me fall asleep, a Good Thing. Crew was pleasant, helpful."
Cons: "Pearson Airport is a miserable experience for travelers. Security there is very badly managed. Long, long long lines of people waiting without reasons given, getting lost because signage is poor, unable to understand the English of the employees, weeping exhausted children and innumerable check points for showing documents. GET ORGANIZED, Canada!"

Cons: "- We tried to check in online and got an error message. When we got to the airport 2 hours before our flight, we were told by customer service rep #1 to join a line. At the front of the line, same rep told us "Oh it's probably that now you need a visa." - Why not tell people when they try to check in why there is an error? The new rule went into effect in December, and we hadn't been to Canada since needing a visa. Once we had been accepted, we were passed off to another employee who couldn't figure out why he couldn't check us in. Then another, who said "I'm only helping you because your flight is delayed, the flight should have closed by now." (Not exactly comforting, and considering it took them 2 hours to help, not super helpful either.) - When we ran to the gate, the people running the gate told us that the aircraft hadn't even landed, but weren't communicative in timing, didn't update the time on the boarding screens, etc."

Cons: "I had a 2 year old with me and boarded early. The flight was already delayed and more delays after everyone was aboard due to cargo not being on. I found this shocking for a red eye flight. This caused me to miss my connecting flight and having to wait 4 hours for the next flight with a 2 year old. our TV's seemed to skip even after they rebooted them so I wasn't even able to enjoy a movie or play any games."

Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

Cons: "AC373 on 07/23/16 - need I say more? Having an airline background and now the HR mgr of a very large hotel chain, I understand many things that are out of a companies control, ie: weather etc, but....never have I witnessed airline staff YELLING at passengers "it's not our fault and the agents need to leave so they don't go into overtime?" Yes, some passengers were difficult, but it's part of the industry. If you can't handle w/care and service - don't choose as a profession. Very unimpressed with AC's customer service, guest recovery - they made it seem like it was more of an inconvenience for them. Can't imagine "choosing" to fly AC again!"

Pros: "All flying may have weather issues. At almost 1 am there was a wonderful ticket agent that was in charge of all of the rescheduled flights in the "basement" area of the Toronto airport. Thanks to her for her pleasant attitude."
Cons: "Lack of communication: 1. There were gate changes that just showed up on the board with no verbal announcement. 2. There were a large number of rescheduled flights on July 1, 2016. We were all "herded" into a small, hot area. It seems like this time of day has a number of late flights that don't seem to have a good plan. 3. We landed in Greensboro and the pilot walked in to tell us after the fact. Come on, an announcement before the actual landing would have been good communication."

Cons: "There was no music/entertainment provided by Air Canada. No flights over 4 hours should be without monitors for movies and/or music. Being told in-flight that we could have downloaded the Air Canada app was inexcusable as one couldn't download anything during the flight. I've been on many flights and the only other plane that didn't have entertainment or music options was going from Cape Cod, MA to Nantucket; a 20 minute flight on a Cessna. I was not expecting any music or entertainment on that flight, however. My wife and I were very disappointed in Air Canada from this perspective. We have 4 children and would pay extra on different airlines would never fly it again. We were grateful from Toronto to DFW there was entertainment, though."

I payed over 250 just in taxi to and from the airpor, plus 300 dollars in hotel reservations plus 250 in tours. The airline other than continue rebooking and printing more and more boarding passes did nothing"

Cons: "We were told there's issue in communicating to the engine and delayed for two hours or more. The staff provided updates periodically but it would be better if the issue could be prevented before boarding. Although it's not expected, I was pretty happy the seat on my left was empty on first plane. On the sub plane they arranged an overweighted guy on my left which made the delay worse as he threw off the strong smell of curry."

Cons: "The monitor showed delay after delay--finally at 2 1/2 hours--and no one ever made any announcement. Customer service desks were closing and there was no agents at the gate. Customers did not get any information about why they were leaving at 23:25 rather than 20:55. Finally one agent started to fill us in but no announcements in gate area. This was a really unpleasant delay situation. We needed a lot more information and gate agents to help out. I will strongly try to avoid Air Canada in the future. Overall two thumbs down on the experience."

Cons: "I'm skinny but tall and it is my opinion that these seats are uncomfortably small/narrow The room UNDER the seats is smaller than in other planes as well, so it's tougher to stow your gear"

Cons: "Over 1 hour waiting on phone and disconnected. Terrible. Check-in people didn't even say one single word of apology. they suggested call Air Canada."
